Tuesday is my last full day of review before my exam Thursday. I have written down tonight my “list” of things I wouldn’t want to see questions on and plan to do a final review of them tomorrow. I also plan on reworking some sims from our fabulous compiled list.

I took the AICPA practice and did really well. Did a mock in Becker and wasn’t where I hoped. Scored higher on sims than MCQ which blew my mind…

Any other advice from seasoned veterans out there? This will be my second exam. Didn’t pass my first, easily put I’m 3 times the amount of work in for this but still feeling anxious. I am trending 74% in Ninja and have over 40 hrs of mcq practice in Ninja complementing my Becker resources.

Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. Hoping for a ton of luck Thursday st 8 am 🙂

I don't know if you have taken it under the new format yet (I never took it under the old format), but I would be cognizant of time allocation so you have enough time for the SIMs. It's not so much their difficulty but rather the documents you have to sift through for the relevant information.

good luck! You sounds well prepared! I think doing better on the SIMS is a good thing! MCQ on the test are usually a bit more straightforward than the prep course in my experience.

@ana thank you! I will give government JE a one over as well. The entries to consolidate to government wide are a nightmare… but hopefully I can get a few more things to stick. I have opening and closing entries down, expenditures down, and encumbrances down haha if you’re using Becker hopefully I will be able to saint BAE-BAE to FAR soon 😂

Best of luck! I see you have already taken it so probably not much advice I could give. The only things that rang true from any FAR post I've ever read is NFP/Government is a must, though sounds like you're well aware and prepared.

I wouldn't spend much time on consolidating govt wide. Just know open (bae), close (bae), po's, paying for invoices. You sound like you're prepared! Best of luck, let me know how it goes.

I am sitting for FAR on Friday and so nervous, having trouble sleeping, I have put 200 + hours in but everything seems to be meshing together. Hoping the next two days I can try to relax and just review my notes and it will all come together!

Good luck!! I'm retaking it on 11/6/17. The first time around I screwed up on a) time allocation…way too much time was spent trying to answer MCQs I didn't have a chance at, and b) Governmental/NFP. Hopefully we can both get a pass on this FAR beast.
