So I’ve attempted 4 exams since this year started and I’ve taken REG and BEC twice, failing REG in 60s both the times and BEC in 70s (obviously this is the worst being so close to 75). Im studying full time and I just don’t know what to do anymore!!!! IS THERE ANY HOPE LEFT FOR ME ON THIS PLANET!

Oh and I have attempted all 4 previously and passed BEC and AUD but obviously couldn’t pass FAR and REG (back then my failing scores were much lower too) so lost credit for those two.

How many chances do I take and fall back on my face! I can’t take this anymore and as days go on, I’m definitely not motivated to even study which is bad cause I have to want this bad to work hard otherwise ill keep failing.

ANY WORDS OF WISDOM FOR A SORE LOSER LIKE ME?

THERE IS HOPE ON THIS PLANET FOR YOU!!! You've already passed BEC and AUD before so you have proven to yourself that you can and will do this. From personal experience, my biggest suggestion would be to do progress tests each day. I have Becker not sure which one you have, but maybe the equivalent of that where you are practicing at least 30 questions each day of all the material you have already covered. Say you are on chapter 7 today, then later on today you'll do practice MCQ on ch 1-6. Continual studying of everything each day, and a lot of faith and prayer to God, is what got me from a 69 to a passing. Lastly, I had to do SIMS as practice because that's how I was able to see if I was strong in a topic. Because, if I was able to answer a question in a complex way or different angle that's not just multiple choice, then I knew I was good in that topic. Or the opposite, if I couldn't answer the sim question then I was weak in that area and needed to study it more. Sometimes I was able to answer an MCQ on a topic but not on a SIm so I knew I was not at the strength that I needed to be at for that topic and would practice more. I hope my tips help! you go this 🙂

    FAR - 69, 84

    AUD- 81

    REG- 87

    BEC- 88

Dont lose hope. You got this. I passed Audit on my 3rd try so I feel your pain. Everyone has thier own study method but once I failed Aud for the 2nd time, I had to rethink my studying strategy and make changes. Previously, I used to jump straight to mcqs and tried to learn from the answer explanations. However, I figured after 2 or 3 attempts of the same questions, I was just memorizing the answers and not understanding the concept. Remember, the CPA exam tests you mostly on high level concepts rather than being really detailed so I figured if I understood the basic concept I would not have problem answering the questions. So for my 3rd crack at Aud, I read the book and watched the lecture first before jumping into mcqs. I had Becker so I would first watch the lecture for each page of the book, read the page immediately after watching the lecture and made notes in the book itself. If I didnt understand something from Becker, I would go to youtube and look up videos explaining the topic. Thankfully there are some free lectures from Roger as well as other review courses on Youtube that will help you out. After every subsection of a chapter, I would knock out the mcqs. Now, for those questions I got wrong during Becker homework, I would not redo them immediately but instead I mark them. My logic behind doing this was if I redid those questions immediately, I would just be remembering the answers. So instead, I would first finish the entire chapter and then do a progress test of 100 questions for the chapter and 95% of the time, those marked questions would be picked up during the progress test. I followed this same strategy for all other sections going forward and was able to thankfully pass.
Don't lose hope you will get there soon enough. Good luck!!

    AUD - 93
    BEC - 82
    FAR - 80
    REG - 83
