Obviously they are major categories in BEC in general, but what is the most comprehensive way to study for COSO and IT questions?

i read through some COSO documents: https://www.coso.org/guidance.htm

i have an IT background but had to work at the BEC vocabulary for everything. the ninja mcq glossary helped with terms and answering questions helped it stick

If you want comprehensive the authoritative literature is the way to go like monikernc said.

There are some good 2-3 page summaries online if you're lazy though.

Dude make your own flashcards and memorize the COSO like its your last name. On the IT just read take notes and have the main things down. If you memorize the COSO which is not hard to do over a week or less, trust me you will be flying through those questions when they come up. That was the best thing I did, they cannot switch or make questions too differently than what the review course has because the material does not allows for that. So if you memorize your flashcards it will save you tons of time. I was so prepared with the COSO and IT stuff that for each testlet I did all the COSO and IT questions first throughout the entire testlet in like 6 minutes, after that I went back to the very first question and took care of all the calculations. I passed BEC with flying colors. I will have to take BEC again cause it expired but that's a whole different story.

Oh I get it, ha ha ha ha. I am not a comic book fan except for Nolan's Dark Night Trilogy.

Wow – I sit for BEC on Oct 1 – Think it will be the same? Do they tend to switch up exams each window?

Jake…I strongly disagree. My test had about THIRTY IT questions, of which 95% were not in my study material (CPAexcel and ninja mcq).
Same thing with Coso, most of the questions had nothing to do with anything I learned.

I received the dreaded IT/COSO exam from hell. 2 variance questions, 5 financial, it was unbelievable.
