If I feel good about 5/8 sims, is that good enough?

I had 2 sims where i feel I’ll get 20% and 1 where I might get 40%. The rest I feel were 70+ and I think I did ok on the MCQ. My ninja trending was 77 and my Wiley practice score was 63. For those with some FAR experience, tell me my score!

My experience was very similar, I know I nailed 1 and felt pretty good on like 4. I'd also like input from those who've gotten scores back! 🙂

    FAR - 85 (12/17)
    AUD - 80 (1/18)
    REG - 83 (6/18)
    BEC - 85 (7/18)

    Ethics - 95

Felt decent about 3 SIMs, little worse about 3 SIMs, and left 2 SIMs blank (research SIM – left it for last, went to change my answer as I deleted my entry to put in my new entry the red timer ticked down to Zero so it was blank…the other blank SIM had about 20 entries and 10 documents at least), got an 81. I must say, the SIMs on my exam were absurdly hard, and they must have been in relative to the quarter because there is no way I should have realistically passed.

    Two things to consider:
    1) Did you feel like you studied enough to pass the exam?
    2) 5/8 sounds good as long as you feel one of the ones you did not do well on is the pretest.

    AUD - 78
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 86
    REG - 79

    @SP

    1. Yes, but this is my first ever CPA exam
    2. I had 2 sims from the same topic so hopefully one of those was a pretest

    @ ANOTHER72

Pretty much, but I assume the large one I skipped was a pre-test, and there's been a lot of discussion here regarding how heavily research SIMs are weighted, and after my score, I am assuming not as heavily as the other SIMs with multiple entries. I am sure you did well, but one thing I learned from here (was my first exam also) was every experience and result is unique. Whereas I didn't even finish the exam and had no time to check anything, there were posters who thought they did great, rechecking etc. and didn't pass in the same quarter so it's tough to judge. I do think the relative difficulty plays a big role. There's probably people who read my post, finished the exam comfortable with time to spare and thought “How did he pass??!?” when they didn't, which is why I say each situation is unique. I did the same thing, after the test asking and seeing if people passed with multiple SIMs skipped, you just never know, best of luck to you!
