I remember a holiday in the past … can't remember which one…could have been labor day – and it didn't affect the score release.

Actually – it was President's Day or something that not everyone gets off work for … but AICPA offices were closed.

That's good to know that holidays haven't affected the schedule in the past, but I still think it's weird how the AICPA released 2 different dates. I hope you're right that it is the 7th! I'll send the AICPA an e-mail to ask about the conflicting dates and post their response here.

Remember that the AICPA release date is the date they expect to have all scores out and in the hands of eager candidates, not the date that NASBA starts uploading batches. Jeff has been right on the money with every score release this year so I'm gonna go with the Ninja's, even though I probably won't see my score until October. LOL

Right, Jeff's dates are always 1 business day ahead of the AICPA date because they start releasing the day before. However if the AICPA's statement of 6 business days is correct, that would make their date 9/11 and Jeff's date 9/10. If they do in fact ignore the Labor Day holiday and count it as a business day, then their date would be 9/10 and Jeff's date of 9/7 would hold true. I'm just confused because the AICPA has released 2 different target dates (9/10 and 9/11), but on both of those links it says “6 business days.” So I guess the bigger question is whether the AICPA counts Labor Day as a business day. I e-mailed the AICPA to ask which date they posted was correct and will definitely post here once they write back šŸ™‚ I just hope it's the 7th… if not, next weekend is going to drag like this past one has – lol.

The one that says 9/11 is from 2011…..

Interestingly enough, the dates for the first two score releases in Q3 & Q4 are the same in 2011 & 2012

(AUG 6, AUG 22. Nov 5, Nov 26) but the 3rd score releases in 2011 were Sept 11, Dec 8 and in 2012 they were both moved a day earlier to Sept 10, Dec 7.

@ marks – I understood it to be for 2012. The effective date at the top left-hand side of the page says October 1, 2011, but in the actual chart it says “Target Q3 2012 Score Release.” See what I mean? https://www.aicpa.org/BecomeACPA/CPAExam/PsychometricsandScoring/ScoringInformation/Pages/FAQ2011ScoreRelease.aspx

Properly put, Jeff rocks and the AICPA sucks.

I'd never bet money against Jeff.

Here's the e-mail I received from the AICPA

Thank you for writing to the AICPA to inform us of the conflicting dates for the upcoming score release. We apologize for the discrepancy.

The official target release date to NASBA is Sept. 11.

    Sincerely,

    Examinations Team

    AICPA

I hope Jeff is right, but I'm not getting my hopes up for a Friday release.

I hate to say it, but I just called to see when those of us who sat in the “extended window” can expect our scores, and the guy I talked to said that they were trying to get them out with the other score release. Since the extended window doesn't close until the 8th, I was a little confused. I asked him when they were expecting to release scores for the regular window, and he said the 11th. But what bothers me is he didn't know himself and he didn't have that information in front of him, he had to put me on hold and go ask somebody. So to me, that's not a definitive answer. I guess there's still a chance they could roll them out Friday night, and then roll out the extended window separately, but I wouldn't bet money on it.

This timeline includes labor day as a business day. Is this correct?

AICPA Communications said in reply to Joe…

Thank you for catching that Joe. We have corrected the timetable to reflect a target score release date of September 11.

    Bummer šŸ™

If they're saying 9/11, then I think it'd be realistic to expect that we probably won't see them until Monday. This will be the longest weekend ever…

    F - PASSED (11/26/11)
    A - PASSED (1/14/12)
    B - PASSED (7/14/12)
    R - PASSED (8/31/12)
    Ethics Exam - 95 %

Just waiting to be able to put those three little letters behind my name...

I am pretty confident in Jeff's predictions. but now that they are actually saying that the 11th is the day, i think the estimate might possibly need to be adjusted to the 10th…..im still hoping thats not the case though….. hopefully jeff's streak holds up.
