    Hi all

I am curious about your largest score variance (hopefully in the upward direction).

Short story: I passed all exams about 10 years ago except for REG which ended up destroying credit for all my exams. At that time the highest score I ever managed was a 69 for REG. As you can see in my signature I started up the exam process almost a decade later and pulled a 93 on REG. In all honesty I studied about 3x more than required because of my bad many bad REG experiences (2+ hours a day for four months using primarily Gleim and then also Wiley).

What is the largest increase you experienced (or are aware of) for the same section of the exam?

This is not intended to be a bragging thread…it’s more of a motivational thread for the downtrodden candidates of the exam. Anything is possible.

    REG - 93 90% Gleim MCQ/book + 10% Wiley MCQ

    BEC - 79 100% Wiley MCQ/book

    FAR - 88 100% Gleim MCQ/book + Ninja Audios

    AUD - 85 100% Wiley MCQ/book + Ninja Audios

    Licensed CPA as of 2019

    CMA Pt 1  400  100% Gleim MCQ/book

    CMA Pt 2  Pending Score

When I first took AUD I got a 54, but I also only studied for about a week and wasn't taking the CPA exams as seriously as I should have. When I took it the second time a couple years later I studied way more and got an 83 (which I honestly was sort of disappointed with cause I thought I was gonna get a score in the 90's walking out, but I passed which is all that matters). From what I've seen/heard, a 29 point increase is fairly significant.

    AUD: 54 (10/31/15); 83 (12/02/17)
    BEC: 70 (01/31/16); 90 (07/02/17)
    FAR: 73 (10/03/15); 88 (02/17/18)
    REG: 83 (06/09/18)
    AICPA Ethics: 91 (06/28/18)
    Licensed: 08/16/18

I think this is an interesting question, because I know when I was struggling I found hope in reading about people that took huge jumps from exam to exam. (It could happen!) I had some exams where I went up only a point, and others where I made bigger progress. I guess for sake of the question I'll just share my biggest variance overall per exam.

My FAR exam highest jump was 13 points.
My REG exam highest jump was 20 points.

    BEC - Passed

    AUD - Passed

    FAR - Passed

    REG - Passed

    BEC/AUD - Wiley + Ninja / FAR - Surgent / REG - Wiley/Surgent

My largest increase was FAR 49 to 79. I can't say why it increased. I did feel sick during the first exam and actually threw up in the bathroom during a break. I finished out the exam after and expected to fail…but not a 49.

    AUD - 76
    BEC - 75
    FAR - 79
    REG - 84

took FAR and AUD back in 2017 and scored a 44 and 40 lol. Now I'm taking it serious and first try back I scored a 76 on FAR in February but failed Audit this month with a 70. So a 32, and 30 point increase haha.

    FAR - 76

    AUD - 89

    BEC - 84

    REG - 86
