I have read some posts on here that if you get less than a 70, you have to study everything again. I am just wondering, for AUD, how should I go about studying everything again? I have an assortment of Ninja materials as well as CPAexcel and Wiley Test Bank. Would going through the CPAexcel MCQ for each section (which would only take me about 2 weeks) and then do Ninja MCQ and flash cards a good idea?

@Determined–I posted this earlier today when someone asked about an AUD retake. This is what I did and I raised my score from 65 to 85.

    1. I listened to the Ninja Audio every chance I got. It was a godsend for AUD!

    2. I got the Ninja notes and rewrote them (combined with my own notes) once before the exam

    3. I read the entire Wiley book to get the foundation I needed.

    4. I quizzed over and over and over in the WTB and made sure I understood why answers were wrong, not just why the right one was right.

    5. I used the AL for every SIM, not just the research ones. You can find entire answers in the AL for AUD.

    6. Leave 2 hours for SIMS to give yourself time to search. Practice searching in your test bank, but know that the real exam will have the full literature and most practice test banks do not so don't get discouraged if you aren't able to do much searching while you are studying.

    7. Practice the SIMS in your test bank. It's not a good idea to go into the exam without having some practice on SIMS, even though I know there are people that pass without doing a single one for practice.

AUD wording is tricky and the most important thing for AUD is to read the entire question and all the answer choices before making your decision on which one is right. Usually there are two good answers and you have to know which one is MORE right.

While doing the real exam I was miserable. i could always narrow it down to two answers and then had to make an educated guess. I really thought I failed. I cried a lot after that exam and then wound up passing. This exam is tricky and messes with your head. Try not to let it. I know, easier said than done.

Good luck! You can do this!

Wow @CPAMommyof3 that is almost exactly what I did and I had a jump from 70 to 90 to pass my last one as well!! That's really funny how that is almost exactly my study procedure for this past AUD test. Only thing different is I had an extensive Becker base of knowledge and supplemented that with the new test bank from NINJA. Did around 4,200 questions in total.

    BEC: 77
    REG: 54, 76
    FAR: 54, 84
    AUD: 64, 70, 90!
    I'm done!!

I failed my first AUD exam with a 65. I didn't take it again until I finished the other three exams so when I re-studied I started from the beginning. If you are retaking fresh off a fail just be careful you don't overlook sections with the mindset that you already know it.

I used Becker and spent about a month reading through each chapter and taking detailed notes, I didn't touch the lectures – ended up not affecting me at all and would have added half a month to my timeline. After each chapter I would do maybe 60-75% of the MCQ's based on the importance of the section. I did this for each chapter, spent more time on certain chapters. Afterwards I practiced SIMS and would do some progress tests at the end. I also bought Ninja MCQ for the last two weeks just to see some new question – prbly only did a couple hundred questions. With studying hard and staying focused for a solid month I squeaked out a 89.

    A - 89 10/23/2014
    R - 90 2/27/2014
    F - 75 5/25/2014
    B - 83 8/28/2014
