New Software – Testing Center Not Accomodating

Has anyone called their testing center to see if they are making changes for the new software rollout?

I posted a thread because I didn’t realize it was affecting so much and everyone graciously informed me that it will require a 23 inch wide monitor.

I called the testing center that I test at and they are not replacing their monitors and I have tested there before and they are not 23 inches wide.

I called Prometric and was told that it is at the discretion of each testing center to use whatever equipment they deem necessary.

The closest testing center to me is over 200 miles away (aside from the one not changing out their monitors) so I’m really at a loss for what to do because I think it’s unfair I won’t be able to use the entire screen for the simulations because my testing center is cheap.

Has anyone else called their testing centers to see if they are upgrading. Is there anyone else I should be calling about this? I’m in Washington state, not sure how relevant that is.

This is literally the icing on the cake that has been my experience with administrative crap while pursuing this. 2 more to go.

I think as long as it utilizes the full monitor you should be fine.
I feel like my local place had 22″ monitors, of which we got to use like 10 or 14 inches?
full screen is going to be wonderful

do the AICPA practice and limit the window size down to 20 or 22, its still going to be way better than it was

Like Recked I'm not sure how big the monitors are in my test center but I know there was a lot of extra area on all sides that I wish I could have used. So whether it's actually 23″ or not I don't care I'll just be glad I got more space to work in.

I wonder how they came up with that size, it seems so specific lol.

“Sir, all the score files are gone!”

“Idiot, I said NOT over 23.5!”

    “Initiate emergency score generator!”

I think the price point on monitors goes up over 23″ lol.
