Has anyone passed FAR under the new version that was introduced. If so how did you prepare. I have used Wiley self-study and was successful for AUD and BEC and I have spent 200-300 hour going through all the videos and readings and multiple choice. I feel fairly confident about the MC however have heard the Wiley SIMS for FAR are less than adequate under the new testing. Just looking for some advice from someone that has passed. I have 3 weeks left before I sit and due to working and my next exam I really need to pass so that my other exams don’t expire!

    AUD - 87
    BEC - 89
    FAR - NINJA in Training
    REG - NINJA in Training
Waiting for FAR scores while trying to focus on REG

I thought they were fine. I used Roger and Becker and feel they both prepared me fairly well. No SIM I saw was exactly like one that either review program had but they taught me well enough that I could pick up plenty of points as I went through them during the exam. Based on your hours you very likely have enough studying to pass FAR

    REG - 92 (1/17)

    BEC - 82 (2/17)

    AUD - 89 (5/17)

    FAR - 94 (9/17)

Rogers Elite + Becker mcqs/sims for all 4 exams

    WA State Ethics Exam - 83, 83, 90 (9/17)

    AICPA Ethics Exam - 95 (9/17)

    1-year of work - complete (11/18)

I also used Wiley and felt very prepared for the SIMs. I oddly enough liked the SIMs after the changes just because I feel as though they are more applicable to things being done in the field. My biggest advice with them is time management. Really make sure you leave enough time because there are a lot of different tabs of documentation you will need to go through in order to answer the questions. I ran out of time unfortunately on my last section in the middle of answering a question I didn't feel was particularly too difficult.

And I know it's been said before a million times but know the journal entries.

    AUD - 82
    BEC - 76
    FAR - NINJA in Training
    REG - 77
    AUD - 82 (Exp 11/18)

    BEC - 73, 76 (Exp 7/18)

    FAR- 56, 66, 72

    REG- 70, 77 (Exp 7/19)

@Keldawg1616 – I used Wiley for AUD and FAR during the 3rd quarter and passed both sections (FAR the 1st attempt and AUD was the 3rd attempt). I watched all the videos, did all the homework, worked throught the MCQ test bank and did both practice tests during final review. My suggestion is to keep working the MCQ (quite frankly, I thought the MCQ's on the test were harder than the SIMS). Do make sure you know the AJE's and ALWAYS read what the question is asking for. I agree with AndyG739, budget your time wisely. My plan was 1-1.5 minutes per MCQ for both testlets and then 15-20 for the SIMS. I was able to stick with my time budget and finished with 20 minutes or so left.

Hope this helps and good luck!
