NYS Credits to get to 150 Credits

So I found out I passed the exam yesterday (best feeling ever) but now I have another problem on my plate and am wondering if anyone has ran into this or knows a solution.

I have a 134 college credits, I wasn’t able to get grandfathered in to the 120 rule. I need 14 more credits but honestly have no interest in getting a masters degree, that being said, I am looking for the cheapest and quickest way to get to 150 credits. When I got my letter from NYS board of accountancy before I sat for the exam they told me I needed “14 credits including three in accounting”. Can I take these credits online or at a community college, does NYS accept CLEP?

If anyone has been through this and could give me guidance i’d really appreciate it.

NYS accepts UNA PAPP courses but only as “business credits” not Accounting Credits. I took online classes with LSU. If you're in NYC try classes at CUNY Community Colleges. I am not certain about CLEP. Hope this helps. Anything else feel free to ask.

Do community college credits count toward the 150? I live in Nassau County. I just want to be sure I take the right classes and don't end up taking something for no reason.

Do you know if there are people at NYS that handle this type of thing?

Community College courses count. I took two courses at BMCC and NYS accepted them both as accounting credits.

I took almost all my accouing courses at CUNY Queens College. The tuition was reasonable and it was convenient since it was close to my job.

Email this guy and he'll tell you what schools and courses are accepted.
