Hi , i found this on NASBA website

    Q. What if the Q2 score release delay impacts my ability to complete the Exam within 18 months?

All state board jurisdictions are aware of the score release delay. Candidates who are potentially impacted by this delay should contact their state board of accountancy for guidance.

well what should i expect from contacting the state board?

I think the best thing is to call them and ask. I would imagine there is a grace period of some kind granted for those on the cusp in Q217….

Im in this exact boat since my AUD exam expires 7/31/17 so hoping they're friendly enough to give a small grace period if it comes to having to take FAR for a third time

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 77
    FAR - 78
    REG - 80
After 4 long years, I'm done.

Iceman6 – I am right there with you, sub BEC for AUD. So I have three windows in 2017, but will not know if I passed in Q2 in time to take it in Q3 if needed. Hopefully the board can give another few weeks if needed.

has anyone tried calling yet? or is it just too soon?

i am in the same boat losing BEC on 4/17/17. I'm in a small panic but if I don't pass REG & FAR before this window, I'll be in a BIGGER panic and will definitely call.

    I'm already getting worried…

How can they cut that test window so completely??? Now that I'm down to FAR for that time period this is really nerve-racking to potentially lose an entire test window to find out I failed.

I mean, just imagine how many people will be fighting for spots in the final few weeks of the Q3 test window? It's gonna be hades to try and secure one of those spots!

    I'm just frustrated..

That's what i'm worried about, taking exam in Q2 and wouldn't be able retake in Q3.
Missing an entire window is crazy. i have to pass all before October 2017.

If anyone called the state board, Please let us know

If you guys are all really worried why don't you all individually call your state board? I'm sure you all live in different states that will all give you different answers.

I've called my state (DC) in the past (for unrelated reasons) and they answered in a minute and they were really friendly. Don't be scared of the phone people!

After several weeks of panicking and thinking I actually dont think the extended release score date is that bad. Well yes it sucks to take it in april and won't know until August but if we have prepared well enough that won't even matter. Plus, we can still review during this “wait time” which sucks but if that's the last section then gotta push through it.

Let's say we find out we fail in Aug, hey the good news is Sept is back open the first 10 days.. We can fight for a spot.. So all in all, if we are lucky to grab an opening we aren't losing much.. At least thats how I'm thinking to make myself feel better. But let's hope I won't even need to go that route. I have started praying since Ive started this journey. 🙂

    BEC - 76
    REG- 67, 85
    AUD-63, 74, 80!!
    FAR-65, 62, 57, 79

3 down 1 more to go. BEC is on the Line 🙁

That's exactly why I'm worried. Maybe you don't live in a big city, but here in Atlanta spots are filled up 2-3 weeks in advance. So the barely 4 weeks outside of the score release means it will be insane trying to get a spot 🙁

@Spartans92 at my 1st and 2nd try i was using only becker. at my third try i supplemented with NINJA MCQ.

so my advice is to crush all ninja MCQs for the next 7 days, it will give you a different perspective and broaden your knowledge.

Another advice is to not underestimate governmental and not for profit accounting ( they make up about 20% of the questions) and their questions comes straight forward, so make sure that you absorb them. F7 is important also ( EPS and statement of cash flows).

don't forget non-stop MCQs until your exam date.

    Good Luck

Thanks man! Yep, Im def not underestimating those but luckily Im averaging in the 80's on the HW. Don't wanna be cocky and all but those 2 sections are more of a strength as Im stronger with concept than numbers. Im more concern about bonds/ leases things like that. Thanks again! I will definitely get Ninja tomorrow and pound those out.
