Questions about WC on BEC

    Are you supposed to write To and From and end with Sincerely, “Your Name”. Just want some clarification. I did not do well the first time around, probably because I did not know what I was talking about and wrote short paragraphs. I had a To and From, but no closing. Wonder if I got points taken away for that too.

    I finally passed this beast on 10/26/2011 after getting a 74 in the prior window. Don't be too hard on yourself a 73 isn't a bad grade. I used Becker and listened to their lecture on WC and did what they suggested. I used Regards, and then my name in my memo's. I had no clue as to what I was writing about and I passed with a 78, I did what Becker said to do and it worked for me. I addressed the topic in a well written format – used key words and accounting verbage but as I said I didn't know what they were asking so what I wrote was essentially well written garbage. Because of this I believe the essays are scored by the computer and are not read. Just stay on topic as to what you're asked and you should be fine.

    To/From: Not needed, it is already included, just start typing the body of the letter.

    I got a booklet from Gleim when I asked them to send me information about their CPA products, and it showed me some great examples of WC's. They gave examples of level 3 (average) level 4 (good) level 5 (exceptional) WC letters.

    I didn't date my WC letters, but I did put a proper closing. I think the date is included on the top of the letter, so we don't have to duplicate it.
