I failed REG with a 74. This is the first exam that I’ve failed. I passed FAR and BEC on my first tries and actually felt more prepared for REG, than I did for those exams. I’ve used Becker to prepare for each exam.

With the format change of the CPA starting in April, I have a few questions:

How much more should I study for REG before taking it again?

How much harder is the new exam going to be (are pass rates going to drop greatly)?

Is there going to be new content on REG?

The new exam includes analysis type questions, how should I prepare for these on REG?

    AUD - 88
    BEC - 78
    FAR - 78
    REG - 83

I have no idea how to prepare for the new “analysis type questions” I do believe Becker does though so just trust their study materials. The AICPA has a blueprint on what is actually on the new exam. It is online and in the back of the new Becker books as well. Lastly, I am pretty sure the pass rates will stay the same. Who knows with the AICPA though. Good luck, treat the 74 like a 0. Review everything over again, and study hard in detail the stuff you feel like you are weak on. Don't focus on what you were tested on the first time, as you know, you will could potentially be tested on stuff that is completely different.

    AUD - 81
    BEC - 77
    FAR - 76
    REG - 75
