@ActionCPA I pray you're right! Heck, I'll even take a 7 point margin of error on that! Thanks for the encouragement

I took Reg yesterday for the second time. The MCQ felt a little tricky, but overall I think I was pretty strong and knew the material but I completely tanked the SIMS. I had one on corp vs shareholder basis and another on wash sales which I completely blanked. Is it possible to get very partial credit on the SIMS as a whole and still pass?

talk about some random, middle of the page topics from Becker.

My testlets were very very random questions, I gave mere skimming

Keep your head up. I felt like my Q4 exam was very random as well and was certain I failed when I left. Got a 92 (don't know how)

@ljohnsf, don't lose heart! There's no reason to think all of the tests will be that way. I studied for AUD using exclusively CPAexcel and basically learned 90% of auditing from the test prep software (not a strong background in accounting academically and my firm doesn't do audits). I walked out of AUD thinking “I don't know if I passed but I DO know I CAN pass… There wasn't anything on that test I hadn't at least heard of!”

Reading about people's experiences Q4 has me a bit nervous. Taking REG Monday.

@actioncpa that's crazy you were spot on with guessing my score! I got an 85! Now I'm totally done with all 4.

Turns out you can pass even if you felt you did terrible on the MCQ and great on the sims. The sims must have carried me and I must have done better than I thought on MCQ. Similar to @Needsa75.

    Hi Guys,

I am totally heartbroken. It turned out that my fears came to reality, I got a 73 on REG. I had scheduled AUD for January. Do you guys have any recommendation as to what do next at this point?

I got a 72…sucks, but considering its only my second try (my last was AUD and I got a 60, granted I was under prepared) I dont feel too incredibly demoralized due to getting a significantly better score than my last attempt.

I got a 67. Honestly I wasn't surprised I failed, this exam felt much worse for me than the previous ones. CPAShoes, I am really sorry, that sucks to be so close. For my two cents, I would stay with REG if possible. I just don't like the idea of stopping on one exam and trying another one. I am planning on my retake for late January and hopefully the 8 weeks in between will be enough time for me to crack this one. Man if FAR is harder than REG I am really not looking forward to it…

@Needsa75 I'm currently studying for REG using Becker but I am having trouble getting through everything and I take it in 2 weeks. Did you do all the sims? Are they necessary? Thanks
