Hey everyone! I took FAR last week and honestly think I failed (I know everyone that passes usually says that they thought they failed but I feel like I probably scored in the 60’s).
Anyway, since I took the exam before today, I should be getting my results next Thursday (March 7th). I already am scheduled to take AUD at the beginning of April and so I wanted to ask you guys, if you were in my position, would you reschedule AUD and retake FAR at the beginning of April or would you study for AUD now and then just retake FAR after you took AUD?

I would continue on with Audit. Its best not to sit and dwell. Why do you think you got around a 60? Just overall hard?

    FAR - 89

    REG - 87

    AUD - 87

    BEC - 95

I felt like I got 2 easy booklets which isn't a good sign but the SIMS were difficult. But then again the CPA scoring is weird.

I'd recommend rescheduling AUD and retake FAR and pass that first. Since you just studied FAR, all those concepts are still fresh in your head. Just wait until you get your score and if you passed moved to AUD, if not start studying FAR again.

    .

    REG - 2/19/16 - 77!
    BEC - 4/16/16 - 79!!
    AUD - 6/04/16 - 84!!!
    FAR - 8/31/16

Keep studying for AUD until you get the results. You may have passed, in which case you don't have to reschedule anything. Is either one of these your last section? If FAR was your first and AUD is your second, and you haven't passed any, I would just go on with AUD and retake FAR at another time.

@earth897 In my experience, I took FAR, started studying for AUD immediately after, found out I failed FAR 30 days later (long wait for the score release), and I decided to press on with AUD, take it, and then go back to FAR. That was the best move for me. In my case, I didn't want to “scrap” 30 days of AUD study to switch to FAR. In YOUR case, if you go back to FAR, you will only be “scrapping” a couple of weeks (maximum) of AUD.

So, I think either way is fine. My gut says stay focused on AUD, but since you don't have much time to study it before FAR release, that leaves the other option open (IF you failed FAR).

Hope you passed FAR, so this whole thread can be one big moot point! 🙂

    AUD - 77
    BEC - 75
    FAR - 78
    REG - 77
Finished.  Praise be to the Almighty!
