Should I Take FAR or REG?

So I have about 4 weeks to study for FAR and/or REG. Let me explain.

I will lose credit for AUD at the end of January. A few months ago I had applied to take my two remaining sections being optimistic that I would be well prepared right before the 18 month cut-off.

Of course at this point I think I can realistically only study for one. It’s better to focus efforts than spread myself too thin and fail both, right?

Which would you focus on if you were me? I have passed REG once before, a long time ago. I have never passed FAR. The thing is I have studied some for FAR and not at all for REG. I don’t work with taxes whatsoever. Is REG easy enough to drop everything and focus entirely on multiple choice questions for the next 4 weeks? Or should I continue to build on my FAR base and try to eke out a FAR victory?

    AUD - 91 YAAY! (8/4/15)
    FAR - 51 BOOO! (8/4/15)
    REG - TBD
    BEC - TBD

I would go with REG. Only bc REG does have the second-most changes in the new format. Also, I find it more feasible to pass REG in 4 weeks than FAR. It takes time to go through FAR (based on my studying), I know another NINJA that knocked out FAR in 3 weeks.

But I feel that no matter what, I think you need to be come to terms that you might have to take AUD and FAR under the new format. Unless you want to tackle FAR and REG within one month, which seems a bit crazy. But good luck!

    AUD - 83
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 83
    REG - 78
    BEC - 80 (Roger + NINJA MCQ + WTB)

    FAR - 72; 83 (Roger + NINJA MCQ)

    AUD - 83 (Roger + NINJA MCQ + WTB)

    REG - 52; 78 (Roger + NINJA MCQ)

    Ethics - 68, 96 (how I dislike you)

Oh shoot, that's a tough spot. They're both monsters but am not sure where you are at so far with FAR. If you were halfway through the FAR material I would stick with FAR. Otherwise I would intensely hit REG and try to pass it before the 2017 changes come in.

    AUD - 76
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 73
    REG - 82

Kill your Nemesis before anything else. Get it out of the way. You passed REG before, you can pass it again. So focus on FAR. Kill it! Show who's the boss. Do not worry about AUD that's about to expire next month or so. Focus on one section at a time.
I lost two sections (AUD & FAR) at the end of 2015. I was 2/4 in 2014, ended 2015 with zero to nothing (0/4). Very painful but I sucked it up. I kept working and kept taking REG, my Nemesis. I finally passed it early this year. I am ending up 2016 with 3 out of 4, not bad huh. That's the advantage of focusing on ONE SECTION AT A TIME!

Now I am preparing for FAR. I passed it in 2014 and every day, I convince myself I WILL PASS FAR again!

Thanks guys. I think REG is more doable in the time frame. I rescheduled FAR for March.
