Hi all, I am taking my final part of the CPA, REG using BECKER, I personally have been filing my own 1040 tax and I didnt realize I am missing so much exceptions and rules that are coming out from the BECKER R1 and R2.

I am really worried that I cannot remember all the individual lines just on the 1040 itself, not to mention the 1120 that I have to study later.

Could anyone please point out how I should study for it?

I have bought the NINJA MCQs and BECKER MCQs

    FAR exp 9/17!!
    BEC pass
    REG pass
AUD 74, 69, waiting for august

@santaclaws The tax section, as a whole, has a ton of material. Don't let that overwhelm you; look at it as Peter Olinto says,”a piece meal.” The most useful way I found to study for this section was by making a summary sheet for each chapter. I used Becker for my preparation so I would go through a lecture video (maybe 1 or 2 sections at a time), highlight the important content and make notes, create a summary sheet, do the relevant MCQ's and move on to the next sections. For the MCQ's that I got wrong, I would mark them and revisit them during my final review. It may seem like the summary sheet is time consuming to make but the ROI it provides is worth it. During my free time, I would study the flash cards for the sections I covered. Once I was done with the entire tax section i.e., R1-R4, I would carry my summary sheets with me to work, during lunch breaks, on my commute, before going to bed etc. and review them as many times as possible. This strategy really worked for me.

You do not have to put too much emphasis on memorizing the thresholds. However do learn calculating the basis.

Becker makes a good summary sheet to start.. If you click in R1 or R2, there are outlines. Start there!

    AUD - 81
    BEC - 77
    FAR - 76
    REG - 75
