About three weeks ago, I had interviewed for a position I really really liked. A week ago, the hiring manager gave me a tentative offer (pending HR process). They told me that the process generally takes 3 days and I will be contacted by their HR department. Considering the holiday on Monday, yesterday was the third business day since I received the tentative offer. I have not heard from HR yet. Would it be appropriate for me to reach out to the hiring manager and check on the status of the offer? Or should I wait until next week on Monday and give them a few more days for HR process?

Based on the many stories I read on here, this job you really really like… another BETTER offer is going to come a week or 2 after you accepted this offer.
Drag your feet for a bit, don't rush it.
