Hello!

I took AUD for the second time today and feel really bad. Especially that I have to wait till December to see the fail 🙁

MCQs weren’t too bad, some curve balls here and there but overall doable.

First testlet of sims had one research and one audit procedure (which took me about 40mins) and I still wasn’t able to complete half of it.

Second testlet included one FAR sim which was good and I am 80% sure of it, another research which I was 100% sure of and a dea which I was sure of 50% of the response.

Now the 3rd testlet was from the pit of hell! One sim I was 80% sure of, ran out of time for one and had to guess on most of it and the other sim I was 30% sure of.

In summary, I’m sure I aced both research questions, the FAR like sim and one other sim making a total of 4 out of 8, the other four were mainly guesses.

What are my chances of a 75! This is the only exam giving me problems!

Wow! Q4 has started already? Feeling the pressure for my 2017 Q4 FAR/REG/BEC exams.

As a conceptual person, I find AUD little easier, got more 70s in AUD than the other sections, passed twice, including the most recent ones. However struggling with FAR/BEC, number problems.

@QueenCPA , the two which you fill good about (besides research question ), how many fields or bullet points were there.A good guess ? I know a guy who completed partly all SIMs in q2 and got 87.

Definitely could of passed. How do you feel it was compared to the Q2 exam and do you think becker sims helped prepare you at all?

@QueenCPA ,u have good chance of pass ,”definitely fail” is not correct assumption I would say.

AUD is a super tricky exam – especially when they incorporate FAR topics. I struggle with conceptual topics more than calculations. Thus, it took me 3 times to finally pass AUD. I had to start over and really go through the book again.

You never know if you passed or failed with this exam. Stay positive and Goodluck!!!

@wannafree: I felt good about one with about 5 blanks and a DRS with about 7 blanks. I just hope the two research counts. It seems it's a trend that 2 research questions are now included in audit and I doubt they will want to be so predictable that automatically one research gets tossed.

So if the two research counts, may be I will have a chance, just may be.

Becker didn't help with sims

Look at the aicpa questions!! One of the sims I didn't pay attention too showed up!! And I was like Sh*t!

@QueenCPA Okay I will check that out…I was also weaker on the sims last time..so weird how they had two research questions again. I unfortunately feel like they do not count one because I know I got both right last time….how were gleims sims compared to the test? I feel like it is almost better to just understand the concepts based off what you're saying

I used Gleim and Surgent to prepare for sims. Really none of the review courses prepared me for the sims!

If they don't count my second research then I don't have a chance of passing.

@QueenCPA ,it now depends upon your other 4 SIMs ,if let us say each DRS had 5 bullet points and say you guessed 2 points right. Take 1 research question out as most people say.Going by what you are described your score can go up to 77 max.Let us now see how many DRS points you get.Pass can't be ruled out.I know one guy , who had solved 4 SIMs correctly in old format and rest guess.I had predicted 79 max for him ,guess what he got 78.
