I purchased the online Wiley test bank through the Ninja 10 point combo. I had no problem in getting logged in to the online test bank site and the pop quiz option works great.

HOWEVER, when I try to run a Practice Session, it tells me I need to download Java. I click install, get to Java website, click download, ect. Then I receive an error message stating “The installer cannot proceed with the current Internet Connection Settings.” Says please visit website, I did and it was no help.

Has anyone had this same problem and if so, how did you resolve it???

If no one has had the problem, can you please direct me to someone that can help me fix it?

As always, all of your input is greatly appreciated!!

    Thank you!

Try a different internet browser maybe.

I use Chrome and a warning comes up related to Java and I just accept, then it works fine.

I use chrome already, that is where I received the error message. Then I tried Firefox, same error.

The message reads like it's just an internet setting. Maybe you need to adjust your internet setting to run java… or something else. If it's isn't apparent when you look at your settings, maybe check the Wiley website for troubleshooting guidance.

If all else fails, at least for tonight, you should be able to download the desktop version and work problems offline.

Delete everything Java related and try doing a fresh instal! Are you using a Mac or PC? I use a Mac and the only browser that likes Java is firefox! Every time java updates I have to switch between Safari, Firefox, and Chrome, so I always feel like I'm playing russian roulette with my test bank access when I see the dreaded software update pop up!!!

    Good luck!!!!!!!

Thank you for your input. I am technology illiterate however. Will definitely take some time to figure this out.

@MCLKT How do you download it and use the offline version?

@MintsRGood Where would I go to delete everything Java?

    Thank you both!!!

When you are logged in on CPAtestbank.com there is a “Download Center” tab. Should be the far right tab, near the center of your screen.

There will be two buttons: Download for Windows / Download for Mac

Just click the correct one and follow the directions to install the software 🙂

If you have a mac, open finder and type java in the search field. You should see a group of files referencing “uninstall” and execute. Then go back to finder and type in java again and make sure they are gone! Then try downloading the newest version of Java. If you have a PC, try going into control panel, add/remove programs, and mark java for uninstall.

@MCLKT Ha!!!! Love it!!! What type of mac do you have? I have a white MacBook, Early 2008, that I adore and runs like a champ after all these years! My screen died a few weeks ago (after 5 years of daily use so no complaints), so I took it into apple and they sent it out to CA. For $250 approx. Apple will fix anything and everything wrong with your mac! It came back with an amazing screen, new wifi antenna with crazy range, new keyboard, new trackpad, new click bar, they fixed a small crack in the facia around the track pad, and it looks brand new! I put in additional ram and upgraded my harddrive after I picked it back up and it runs better than a brand new PC anything. Mac rule, PCs drool!!!!!!!! 😉

Ah!! @MintsRGood worked like a charm. I uninstalled everything Java related, went to the website and did an OFFLINE install. We are up and running.

    Thank you for your help!
