Did you really wait 7 months or so to take your 2nd exam? Or are there some fails in there? I wouldn't be concerned with a test failure but you're setting yourself up where you can't have too many misses.

Moreover, please know that you have taken the 2 exams with less material. FAR and REG have easily twice the material of AUD or BEC. Be prepared to double your study hours for FAR and REG. Don't try to squeeze one of those into a 4 week study period unless you're going to live it for a month.

I did my time in Wealth Management….you better be a people person. It doesn't matter what role you play, if you can't woo people you'll hit your ceiling the day you get there.

My job title at my last org was “Accountant” and now it's “CFO” at my new org. The only difference in my credentials was the CPA after my name. Doesn't matter what you're doing in the meantime. Get a job, finish the exams, get those letters, and then get a better job!
GOOD LUCK!!!

I think a LOT of people don't understand JE – they mostly memorize them and that's a problem on FAR.

Not sure where some people get their confidence from, but I never felt ready until the day of the exam. No way could someone have talked me into sitting for the exam “just for fun” or to “see where I'm at”

BEC was my first exam, I did 2500 practice MCQ and then took the exam. I didn't do anything but MCQ. Not sure how many hours that took, I just did 250 questions a day for 10 days. I wasn't working.
I think it's similar to audit in terms of overall material volume but many CPA candidates have seen much of the BEC material before in some capacity.

So I sent in my education transcripts and sent them a certificate of enrollment saying I was starting this class in the next month. Turns out they gave me credit for a Finance class as an accounting credit and I dropped the U of Phoenix class. Saved me a hassle and a ton of money.

In big cities like Seattle, the Bay area, LA, etc…forget having an online degree. They have 200 qualified applicants for any job that pays 40-150k. But where I live graduate degrees are very rare and that changes the equation. Many jobs in particular fields (like education and government) will require a MBA or other masters degree. These jobs will often post and get re-posted because they cannot find a qualified person. If you have a CPA as well, you're going to be the most qualified person to apply for these jobs.
I am currently the CFO of a community college. I got the job because I have a CPA and I”m the first CPA to ever hold the job at the college I work out. However, one of the requirements is a MBA. If my degree had been an online MBA I would have still gotten the job, the position just has to check that box.
Many people in government can get automatic raises if they have a masters degree too, keep that in mind.
