    I'm in the same boat. Apparently they will mail us a packet that contains vendor options for the ethics exam. The employer does need to fill out that form, but I've seen some people on this site say to wait for the one that comes in the packet. From what I understand, the packet should arrive within a week and has very detailed instructions. So for now, just bask in the glory of not having to study… 🙂

    Yes. I did about 2,070 question attempts of the Ninja MCQs for BEC and barely passed with a 77. I also used Wiley and Becker and didn't think they went into enough detail. You're going to feel discouraged at the beginning, but stick with it.

    @Phrunt – I'm also in TX waiting on BEC. I assumed I was in the bubble at this point. I didn't realize that some Texans still haven't received scores from other sections…?? This gives me hope…

    I used Yaeger, Wiley book, and Ninja MCQ and I only had one or two questions where I was completely unfamiliar with the content.

    @ Charlie – Thanks for your comment about the mathematical setup question with no correct answer. That could have been the same one I experienced. At least now I don't think I'm crazy…

    I only remember seeing one IT question where I was completely unfamiliar with the answer choices. I thought there was a good mix of material and hardly nothing that I wasn't at least a little familiar with. By saying the testlets were “difficult” I mean that the questions were much more specific. Not necessarily more calculations, there was a good mix of both theory and calculations. They were difficult because they required more analysis (thought) or knowledge of more specific details about general concepts.

    @Charlie – I took my exam yesterday and feel like I had the same exact experience as you. I'm pretty sure I got every question on the first testlet correct and I flew through it. The next two testlets were just as you described. And the WCs were easy for me as well. I also SWEAR that I had one, possibly two, questions that didn't have correct answer choices. Pretest? Or I was just completely off-base. So at this point I have no idea how to feel about it. People keep asking me if it went well and I have no clue what to say. This was my second shot at BEC and this time I incorporated Ninja MCQ. I think it helped me a lot. But at this point, I'm clueless as to what my score will actually be.

    I went through a divorce right between finishing my college credits and beginning my studying. Married 6 years and had a 2-year-old. I also worked full-time the whole time. I'm now almost done with the exam and am so much happier being out of a marriage that wasn't right for me. If someone is in a commited marriage, they shouldn't be repeatedly having emotional affairs with other people. You'd be surprised what you can handle and accomplish while going through hard times. You'd also be surprised at what your kids can handle. They are resiliant. My child is perfectly happy, smart, and well-behaved. I say get a divorce and move on with your life. You'll be a much stronger and more confident person. It doesn't mean you have to give up your goal of being a CPA. If you think you won't be able to handle it without a husband, that's just false. You can do it.

    This is an excerpt from a Ninja MCQ question. Can anyone elaborate on this formula? I guess I'm having trouble understanding why the number of checks processed per day isn't included in the calculation. Wouldn't that make a difference? Or is that number taken into consideration in the “days saved in the collection process”?

    Cost per check cleared = (D)(S)(i)

    D = days saved in the collection process

    S = average check size

    i = daily interest rate or opportunity cost

    I feel your pain. I'm doing Ninja MCQ for BEC right now and I swear I came across two questions whose correct answers straight up contradicted each other. I think they were on profitability index. I've also seen a few where the explanation given (after I submitted my answer) matches almost verbatim to the answer I chose, but it ended up being wrong due to one word or some very vague hypothetical. We are in hell.

    My boyfriend vacuumed my whole house and straightened things up a little. It was the BEST gift because I didn't have the stress of a messy house hanging on my shoulders, too. Studying is more important than cleaning…priorities!!
