Ready to Buckle Down for FAR

Casey is a weekly Another71 Facebook blogger as she documents her journey through the CPA Exam.

What an interesting way to end the testing window with a visit from Irene. Many were affected by her appearance, but luckily my audit exam was scheduled for August 31st at a testing center right next to the airport, so no power was lost there!

I on the other hand, had no power at home or work for the whole week after Irene came. I studied as much as I could with my NINJA notes by candlelight and frequent visits to friends with power to charge my laptop to be able to do some simulations and MCQs.

The audit exam went “OK,” I could say. I felt very confident on the multiple choice and did my best on the simulations. I think I am now numb to the difficulty of them and just do what I can with the time I have. I did leave the exam NOT wanting to cry, which to me says a lot!

While I am waiting for the results of the two exams I took in the last window, I have started to study for FAR. I will say, I am petrified about this exam. I did switch my study materials specifically for this exam in hopes that Yaeger CPA Review can be a better tool than my last study materials.

I have not yet scheduled my test. I need to sit down and make a study plan and hurry up and schedule the exam. Not having a scheduled exam date allows excuses and other things to get in the way.

My goal for the week is to be well under way in FAR along with having a finish line for this beast!

Until next time,

Casey
