Introducing Club 75 Blogger: Erica

Erica is a new weekly Club 75 Blogger as she documents her journey through the CPA Exam. She has been a member of Another71.com's Club 75 since March 2011.

After ten years and two kids, I have decided to start the CPA exam process again. I have a wonderful husband and 2 boys, one of which is extra special. I prayed for patience once, and God gave me Eli so I can practice patience daily. Lord knows my little down syndrome guy is very stubborn and strong-willed.

I often find myself thinking, if I could just put forth as much effort to pass the CPA exam, as my son who works so hard for any accomplishment he surpasses, such as rolling over as an infant, sitting up alone, crawling, walking, potty training, talking, reading, math, the endless list that came so naturally to my 2nd child. He tells me everyday to “pass that test.” He is my inspiration as I start this journey.

I will sit for the first time this year at the end of May 2011. I have always been able to sign up for the exam, purchase a review course, but I have never been committed to actually following through with the study process. Therefore, here I am today starting the journey to prepare for and PASS the CPA exam.

I have decided to try the CPA Review NINJA Framework found at Club75. I am starting with the videos, once I complete all the videos, I will start with the intense notes. I am trying to get the mindset that this CPA exam is one of my “deadlines.” I have always been one to not study because I have worked since college and always thought meeting my deadlines was more important than sticking to a study schedule. Then what do you know, life happens, and ten years has passed.

I have been reading blogs at another71.com, and get overwhelmed at the information. I am committed to sticking with this study program in order to prepare to PASS the CPA exam!

Until next time…

-Erica
