Hello everyone!

This week has found me adjusting, and not entirely well, to my new life as an auditor. It’s funny that I never really thought about doing auditing and had always wanted to go into tax until this opportunity came up, and I decided any accounting was better than no accounting at all.

I have been out of town this whole week and unfortunately haven't gotten that much studying in at all. I would guess it’s around 6 hours total, which is dismal. Thankfully I changed my date of my test as there is just no way that I would have been ready by next Monday.

I'm going through the BEC material a bit slowly this time around. I felt really rushed with the Becker schedule last August when I tested and felt that was probably part of my downfall. So this time around I've taken to a newer schedule that allows me more time to absorb and try to retain the information in smaller batches.

I'm currently working on rewriting my notes that I took while watching the videos and integrating Jeff's NINJA notes in where my notes lack. This is taking me much longer than I anticipated because of my scheduling conflicts.

I suppose this is what happens when you're in a car driving to and from a location for over an hour a day. It makes the work day that much longer and the study day all that much shorter. I've tried to read in the car, but so far that hasn't gone so well with the distractions of conversations and crazy dirt back roads that make it impossible to write anything down.

I hope that next week I'll have adjusted a bit more and will be able to figure out how and when studying will fit into my new schedule.

Good luck to all those testing this week!

Kelsey
