  • hey Jeff, i wanted to know if i can take up cpa course study from austin university? is that possible?

  • I took FAR yesterday and feel good about the MCQ… I did Becker and I feel that about 80% of the FAR Sim's were not covered by Beckers. I didnt even have time to do the 2nd sim.
Did anyone have the same issue with the covered material with Beckers?

  • Jeff, what are the chances of both AUD and FAR being released tonight for NASBA? I am waiting on FAR and would LOVE to get it tonight so I can being studying again or have finished the exam!!

  • Gosh Mark, seeing how many times you go through with AUD exam scaring me… I am anxiously waiting for AUD and seeing your results did not help 🙁

Here are my results so far:

    BEC – 77
    FAR – 78
    REG – 80
    AUD – ?

  • So glad the site is back to normal! I got upset when I realized I was not able to leave a msg for the past couple days. Thanks Jeff for the site! It’s wonderful!

  • Hi Jeff,

I crashed and burned on Reg and was wondering if Yaager Home Study would bring me over the top. I did every Becker question but I still didn’t feel 100% prepared for the exam.

  • CA2NY

I got my AUD score in the morning on last Friday. That is so strange that they don’t release the score all together.

  • I am dying right now for my FAR score in NYC. It will be close if I passed but I am so close to the end. If I passed FAR, my last exam would be AUD and from how the material looks, I should do ok. What is the hold up ???

  • A- thankgod the site is back in shape!
B- is it possible that nasba will release both FAR & AUD tonight together?

  • I wouldn’t bother checking NASBA until 7:30pm central time for AUD or FAR…although I know all of you will!

  • I received my FAR score last night (it was posted on the WA State site), and I received the WBOA e-mail today. I passed! I am so-o-o-o-o-o excited. That means I am done with the CPA Exam (sans the Ethics Test which I will hopefully take in the next few weeks), and I received the confirmation e-mail from WBOA confirming that I passed all 4 sections.

AUD_LA :- Agreed…. Especially when we know few states have released the scores already 🙁

  • Thank you Jeff for all your hard work. I will buy you a 24 pack friday. I love this site and everyone here!

It is so-o-o-o-o funny how WA was late in submitting REG scores but uber-fast in submitting FAR scores. Everyone in WA should check the online database…because scores are out for FAR (I would presume that they are also out for AUD but that is just a guess).

I hope everyone else on this site passed too! Thanks, Jeff, for your hard work in maintaining this site.

  • CPA2BE – have you had any luck getting scores over the phone from Phyllis at NC board? Anyone have any luck with this in NC…serverely doubt it, but just thought I would ask.

  • I spoke with a NASBA rep and he said that they scores are being released from now up until the 15th (standard response). I asked how often are scores released and he said they’re not released in batches; they’re released randomly. I don’t know if he knew what he was talking about or not. That sounds way off base. Whatever! I’m just tired of waiting.

  • Took FAR for the first time with Becker review and got a 74. Any suggestions on how much time I will need before I take it again? Also, should I stay with Becker or try something new?

  • I realize that the current comment thing is very glitchy…I'm working on it…hope to have it solved soon…thanks for your patience…I'm considering several options including changing servers…we'll see.

  • I wonder if anyone at NASBA will learn how to press the big red "Release Scores" button by tonight. I think we're all very tired of waiting this long.

  • From reading on here, I have learned that your scenario sometimes happens when NASBA is uploading more scores. Hopefully for those of us waiting on AUD or FAR (personally FAR), that should be a sign that our NASBA scores will be coming out soon, and yours will be back up once they release everything. Good Luck! On another note, I have never heard of them releasing a score and changing it.

  • Has anyone heard of a situation where you received a passing score from the NASBA website and then 2 days later your score is no longer there? What does this mean? Are they revising your score or is it just a computer glitch?

  • HI Friends..
I have given my CPA exams from Colorado registration as follow:
    24th May – Business
    26th May – FARE
    27th May – Audit &
    29th May – Reg.
Can any one please help me understand, do I come in Wave -2, as none of my result is appearing on Nasba? why it may be so. Please also give me the link to check the result and do help me understand why i can't see my bussiness and Reg result like all of u friends.

  • Any idea on TN AUD? Sat end of May, called TN NASBA they said end of June through July 15? Is that accurate or do they exaggerate time?

  • I wonder if there is any chance of FAR coming out this afternoon as opposed to tonight. Of course at this point, if it's out before I wake up tomorrow then I'll be happy.

  • Hi Jeff,

what could be the probable time when i can see my audit score from CO today…would it be post 8 PM CST or before that….i took the exam on 4/13..

    Thanks

  • Thanks for your quick response. Does NASBA gradually release those scores? when i called on friday the lady told me because my score had not been released by NASBA that's why it's not available but other canditates in VA have received theirs. Is that possible?

  • Just called CA board….was told that there are still a few scores which need to be posted.
As for the timeline of release, was given a generic answer of "Before June 30th!"
    🙁

  • Jeff,

I got my OH REG score last Wednesday on the NASBA site, but when I went back and looked today it shows the ERROR message again….should I be worried? I should have taken a screen shot of it when I saw it the first time, haha!

  • When does wave 2.5 get released? i called the VA BOA and they said my score isn't available even though people already received theirs. I am assuming i would be in the 2.5 wave. How long does it take in general?

  • Hi everyone! This might have been answered already, but i seem to have missed it.

I am still waiting for my AUD score in CA and wondering if I am the only one, or there are others in the same predicament. And if yes, whats the deal? when do we get our scores?
    Thx

  • Jeff, You are doing an awesome job 🙂 I have no issues reading the multiple posts till the issue is fixed 😉 Atleast, I am receiving some updates on the score release…

  • just please don't take the site down again. ha ha. It's one thing for NASBA to be down, but there's no outlet if your's goes down too. 😉 does the "maybe FAR too" comment mean "don't get your hopes up?"

  • I haven't heard anything but I'm almost positive AUD will be out tonight…maybe FAR too.

The Intense Debate people will have to wipe out all of the dupe posts. Thanks for your patience.

  • Still nothing on the NASBA websites… Jeff – do you have any inside knowledge of when they will get their website up and running? Thanks for your time!!

  • How do you determine that you are ready to take the test? With AUD I also used the Gleim materials. I read the book and did the MC questions assigned at the end of the chapters, created flash cards to memorize the mnemonics (10 GAAS, ect) and completed 90 question MC tests selecting all 20 chapters until I was consistently scoring in the low 80s. I passed AUD on the first time with an 80 so it worked for me…

  • Pamela,

I would go with the AUD cram DVD so that you can lipread the video…do you agree? I don't know very much about lip reading or how difficult it would be on a CPA review DVD.

  • Been a great studying weekend, with NASBA not releasing the FAR results and our one only Jeff working on the site…………….oops come Monday,….all systems up NASBA and JEFF.com

  • strange!
why aren't the nasba states posting neither FAR nor AUD
    seriously this ain't fair!
    =(
anyways Good Luck to all of us!

  • Has anyone been able to see their AUD score on NASBA yet? I am waiting on both FAR(since 4/13) and AUD…… this weekend delay crap can drivea person crazy!

  • Jeff,

Just found out I failed AUD for the 3rd time (73). I have been using a combination of GLEIM and Wiley to prepare. I have been thinking about using Yaeger, however, I am hearing impaired and need to lipread the audio. Do you think this is the best way to go….or can someone offer another method that could possibly work for me. I am currently studying for REG and testing onJuly 9….but will go full force on AUD again after the exam. Already passed BEC.

  • Hey Jeff, I'm still getting multiple comments showing on my pages. I saw that ealier you posted that you had made some kind of help page to get rid of these. I can't seem to find that. Anything I can do to fix this??? Thanks so much!

Hope you got to enjoy the most of your Father's day!

  • Jeff,

What would be your "Best Guess" for when NASBA will release FAR scores? Don't worry I won't pitch a hissy, like some do, if your wrong. Thanks

  • Jeff said AUD and FAR have been released by AICPA (100% I believe????). So it could be as early as Monday for FAR. If AUD doesn't come Monday via NASBA…I think I'm just gonna snap.

  • does audit score release in CA? how come i haven't get the score yet…? does that mean i didn't pass?
    so neverous……………so worried about it…………….!

  • Has anyone been able to see there score for BEC? My friend checked out my score on Tuesday 16-Jun-09 and said that I got a 72 but when I went to check it yesterday 20-Jun-09 it is saying "error score not found". Does anyone know if NASBA is having website difficulties?

  • No. Your grade will not change. Scores disappear when the are uploading another batch of scores. There is a very good chance that a whole slew of scores (AUD and FAR) will be released tomorrow night at around 8pm central.

  • I received my REG score on Wednesday night in NJ, and I passed with an 82. My score was up for most of the week but all of a sudden it disappeared from the NASBA website. It states " Error score not found". Does this mean that they are going to change my grade?? I certainly hope not. Can someone please clarify this for me? I would greatly appreciate it.

  • FAR was released in CA on Sat morning. I'm disappointed that I didn't pass, but it was my first attempt at any section for the CPA exam. Now I have to start preparing for BEC which I'm taking at the end of July.

  • Jeff, what are the chances of both AUD and FAR being released tonight for NASBA? I am waiting on FAR and would LOVE to get it tonight so I can being studying again or have finished the exam!!

  • Agreed nervesofsteel ! Few AUD scores were released in Wave 1 and now, in Wave 2 – they are waiting for the past 4-5 days after scores have been released by AICPA, CA and IL. Atleast, for FAR it was expected that scores would come out on Monday, thus, even if it gets delayed tll Tuesday – only 1 day delay.
I am waiting on FAR results and learning to be patient !

  • Its totally mind boggling how complicated it can be to load a list of computer based results onto their systems in 2009??? Maybe we need to take a step back a couple of years and have AICPA release a list of all the scores in a excel document to the public with section ID's and scores. Then u just ctl F your score? I mean really? No fancy systems needed at all. Sometimes, I really think us Americans are our own worst enemies with all this fancy smancy technology!

  • Weekend from hell for alot of people here. I'm waiting for FAR from NASBA, but really feel for the AUD folks as they seemed to really get a rough deal. Hang in guys, "good things come to people who wait." I am going to assume FAR won't be released by NASBA the same time as AUD, so Tuesday is the earliest. So frustrating!

  • Things will be spotty until a new post comes out…merging old comments with new has messed it up a bit. You can sort by date and click the last page….or by last activity. There will be a bit of a learning curve with this, but I thinl it will be a big improvement. For instance, I can comment from my phone…like I am now 🙂

  • Wow Jeff. The weekend without this website was the worst weekend. ever. Especially since I am waiting on my last score before I can say that i am a CPA.

Any way. Thank you for all the work that you do… 😉

  • Hi there,

like you I took audit from CO on 04/13/09…..do you think i would be able to see my audit score on monday….can you suggest around what time i would be able to see it…..thanks a lot!!

  • Anyyone from CT gotten their scores for AUD or FAR, seems like from the other posts I have read, my state is a day or so behind IL/CA.

  • I just got my advisory score of an 82 on FAR!!! I live in California. This is the first section that I've taken, and I am someone who started out by getting 30-40% on my practice testlets, so if you're in that situation, stick with it!!

  • I live in a state that doesn't give electronic results yet. Does anyone know how the release dates will take before they get to the State Board before being mailed out?

  • I was to afraid to check my score for BEC so I got a friend to do it for me on Tuesday 16-Jun-09 and I got a 72. So I decided to check it myself today to see if he made a mistake but it is saying "error score not found". Has this happened to anyone before? Not really sure if the website is having problems.

  • HELLLLLLLLLLLLLL YEAAA!!! Im in CA and just got my FAR — 83. My first test so far– chopped down the first leg! Wooo hooo!! So happy… good luck to you all

  • Hey !

First of all I want to express my appreciation to Jeff for this great website. It really helped me to survive the last week’s waiting time.

I am desperately waiting for my FAR scores, the last part still pending. Not sure whether this has already been clarified: Jeff mentioned that FAR scores have been released by the AICPA on Friday evening. Is there any chance that we will receive the scores on Saturday or can we lay back and look forward to Monday?

    Thanks for any comments.

  • Has anyone received scores yet? I realized that the IL board Jeff (or maybe I read it somewhere else in one of my many searches) recommended we check had updated that 78% of AUD has been released….. this is stressful… it's my first exam and I can't seem to start studying for the next one without knowing.

  • I have been eagerly awaiting my FAR score since 4/26. Hopefully Jeff is correct in his prediction. I have taken two parts of the exam and both scores came during the week. Hopefully this one will come out tomorrow night…..

  • FAR in CA on Saturday morning? Jeff, I saw that posted that FAR was released by the AICPA
today. I wonder if CA is processing this and the score will be posted Sat morning?
    Anybody know about this?

  • i cant log in anyonre. does that mean anything? or is that just a fluke scores for everone.
    now that fraking me out

  • I've decided…I'm drinking heavily tomorrow in anticipation of my FAR score. If it's good, I'll already be celebrating. If it's bad, I'll continue to drown my sorrows. If it doesn't show up, I won't care. It's a win-win situation!

  • I checked IL scores release announcement. It shows that AICPA only release 78% of the AUD scores. SO someone who is just like me started waiting for scores on April 3th, hopefully,…we will be in this 78% this time!!
For everyone else….hope you guys don't need to go through this torture like me…

    Good Luck everyone

  • I emailed a lady at NASBA earlier today, and she made it sound like AUD was going to be on Monday

  • Thanks for your hard work maintaining this blog website, Jeff! I am done waiting for the score for tonight. Good luck everyone!

  • I wonder if Obama is going to redistribute points on the CPA from those who scored above 80 pts to those who didn't quite pass…

This way, no one feels left out or bad about not passing… sure there will be a few stragglers, but no system is perfect!

Heads up guys! RESCUE IS A'COMIN

  • It's funny to me how ppl who haven't sat for the exam don't understand how the candidate has to remain skeptical of their scores. My family constantly tries to pump me up, all that happens, when I don't pass…I feel like I'm letting them down. Still no AUD in CA…when will they finish releasing?

  • It has become more of a joke at my office. I think I have waited the longer than anyone else with experience less than 10 years.

  • How awful it must be for those who didn't make the first wave…can't imagine what waiting since the beginning of April must be like. Getting tired of family and friends asking how you did, or how you 'think you did' yet?
I've stopped telling non-coworkers when I'm sitting for an exam.

  • I have been waiting since April 6th!!! This is ridiculous! And I can't check my score on the NASBA site if it is released tomorrow. I need to wait to get an email from my state board. So I will be waiting at least until Monday! I am so frustrated.

  • NASBA is doing SOMETHING. All scores are off-line. Website must be down for now.

This morning I could get My REG and BEC scores. Now all scores are "not found".

  • I can feel that NASBA is uploading the audit scores and it may take several hours to finish. Unless you really need to have "hot and fresh" score right away, it seems like it would be better to check tomorrow morning. I waited almost 4 weeks now.. I can wait 1 more night… but I am still sitting and staring at the computer screen..haha..

  • I called NASBA two days ago. The agent told me that If I didn't receive my score before 7/15 then call them again. So…Worst comes Worst …July 15….NO………..I can't take it anymore…79 days waiting…and still on going……………………………….

  • Andromeda-OH
I would not give up until you see others getting their scores. People will post if NASBA updates.

  • Question. Do scores update through the evening between now and midnight? Or if its not there by it won't be there.

  • Jeff,

Really stupid question for you, as I know its been asked and answered before. If FAR was released today, is there any chance that NASBA will release on Saturday evening? Has it ever happened before? Otherwise, just going to assume Monday evening 🙁

  • I am waitinf for my AUD..my last exam…if i pass this one…Jeff you are drinking lot of beer buddy..I am buying you some..thx for all ur help along the way man

  • Lets all take a deep breath and know that we'd rather know we failed then be somebody who never tried in the first place.

  • Yep. Now it's tripling the comments. Poor Jeff. I'm sure he's pulling his hair out right about now.

  • Perhaps I should get a movie and a big bucket of ice cream while I am waiting for the Audit score.. It may help me tolerate this anxious anticipation.

  • My BEC score disappeared…. and AUD isn't there, either… and Jeff's site is acting all crazy… what is going on?!!

  • Jeff thought they were coming out tonight….scores from other exams disappearing is probably good news. The database would have to be temporarily unavailable in order to load more scores up..

    cross ya fingers

  • NY AUD Gyal – the score from the other exam I took in the April/May window has disappeared….I'm waiting for AUD in NY…the system could possibly be updating…

  • Thanks DoCPA.
Does anyone or Jeff knows for sure that more CA-Audit scores are lined up tonite?

  • Right there zach, I should be studying for FAR to take (again) beginning of July…but knowing the score could literally be released ANY minute is driving me insane. My fiance doesn't 'get' why I keep checking, I don't think non-candidates understand this part of the process. waiting…

  • " JessWannaBCPA " – I hear you.. we're in the same boat

I'm in CA, and did not receive my score this morning as well. Does anyone have similar experiences in the past? When should we be expecting our scores, and i'm guessing the delay is because we are borderline? All the anticipation of getting the score this morning, only to find out its not there has made me so so tired..

  • my reg score (which I got 2 days ago) isn't showing up anymore. does that mean they are updating?

  • NY AUD Gyal – the score from the other exam I took in the April/May window has disappeared. I'm waiting on AUD….the system could possibly be updating…

  • In CA waiting for Aud. Knew it came out this morning, but mine wasn't released. Was working at a client's office w/o internet. I had my fiance check it all day, then he tells me about the 'cookie' issue. So, I had 3 other people check for me, then rushed home and checked every 15 mins. now, the site is up AND STILL NO SCORE. this is so wrong…

  • To release anytime from 9pm – 1AM eastern time…. dont count on a 9pm release……hopefully you have a blackberry or iphone to take with you if your outtt

  • New Yorkers, I don't know, but I'm able to see my old scores, usually they go away when the system is updating and preparing to show the scores for the current window. I really hope I get my Audit score tonight. I'm looking forward to celebrating a big fat 97… or at least a 75.

Please release in 20 mins PLEASE, all I need is a 75.

  • Does anyone know if there is a wave 3?
I ve heard about borderline cases being held up and released later…wonder how long does it take?

  • For the word "lucky" i mean…for the online system …not his/her scores….just don't want to have any misunderstanding….

  • CO is up??? I just checked it..nothing YET…your friend is very lucky….Good for him/her

  • My friend found out he passed audit in CO. I'm surprised he found out if everyone else is still waiting.

  • Tennessee is where NASBA is and its Central time..keeping my hopes high and fingers crossed for 9 o'clock

  • I'm trying to study for FAR but can't do a single problem because I'm so anxious for my AUD score! grrrr

  • I checked my score this morning and every thing was ok. I just tried to log in again, but it won't allow me. According to someone on this page, CA is reparing their website. I hope they don't change my score!

  • 8pm et is supposedly when the NASBA's computer system "updates"….then it takes about 30-45 minutes for the scores to start showing up it seems. For BEC and REG this window, they began showing up around 8:35 et.

  • I checked my AUD score online this morning and everything was ok and I passed with a 81. A few minutes ago, I tried to log in again, but I wasn't able to. Now I know what is going on, and thank you for your info. I hope my score remains the same. I hope they only work on the website, not my score!

  • NASBA come on!! I know you want to give it to us. DON'T BE SHY….
GIVE ME AUD AUD AUD AUD

  • Here is the response from CA BOA on the site's situation –

In response to your email, unfortunately the Board is currently experiencing problems with the online account system. We are working to correct the problem as quickly as possible. Please check back at a later time.

We regret any inconvenience this may have caused. If you have additional questions, please contact the Exam Unit at examinfo@cba.ca.gov or (916) 561-1703.

    Sincerely,

    April Freeman

  • jeff's prediction at the top of this article indicates that it's 8pm EST….my friend got her BEC score on monday at 7:15 CST.

  • Hi Jeff,

I had taken audit from CO on 04/13 but i am still not able to see my scores on NASBA…have they been released or not….

    Thanks

  • 82 on audit and 83 on reg in VA. Now just need to get past FAR and BEC. Thanks Jeff for a great place to celebrate and commiserate with others in the same boat.

  • Is there a wave 3? I checked CA website earlier when posts started pouring in…and mine was still pending.
And now cant get into the site coz of "cookies"!!!
    Frustrating…is an understatement!

  • 91 Audit in CA…Waiting on FAR and then el fin… Any chance that CA site is down due to them uploading scores for FAR?

  • Jeff, the Illinois Board of Examiners website says 78% of the total AUD scores have been released through Second Score Release Cycle as of 6/19/09. What is the significance of this, if any? Are the 22% of the scores not released borderline or is there no signifcance with such a higher % not being released?

  • OK Jeff – I found the button to send you (and your IT guy) a beer. Or twelve. Just do us a favor and call a cab to send him home. He can come back for his truck tomorrow.

And thanks for the sanity lifeline you've given all of us.

I passed all 4 parts on the first sitting. It's still sinking in. Well, since I don't have to pay a re-registration fee, why not use the money to buy you and your IT guy a few beers!

  • I am officialy done. I got my AUD score this morning. 81. No more test. Best luck to all of you!

  • FAR in MA?!?! Really? I wish you hadn't said that. I was checking every hour but now I'm gonna have to check every 15 minutes…

  • I got my CPA scores in Washington now……AUD and REG…. Thanks God and Jeff…I passed them…..I believe "No pains, No Gains."

  • Waiting for my FAR score with a bottle expensive of whiskey. If I passed I'll drink it. If I failed I'll drink it.

  • I am not able to login to CA's website either! I have been able to about 100 other times today though… I thought it was something to do with my work. Maybe that means they are uploading my AMAZING Audit score… fingers crossed!!!

  • Thanks AUD_Carrie. I called and got rolled to VM. I left a VM. I was able to access this morning and got my AUD score at 6am this morning. I just hope my passing score this morning will not change…

  • This post makes me sad – FAR, but happy because I love the new forum! Great work Jeff. How's it feel being so popular? Since your site was down today, I started looking at other CPA sites, and everywhere I went I saw "another71." Great work!

  • Hi, I call the CA BOA, and they told me that the system is down and wait at least one hour to try again.

  • I meant … I would not make it through the weekend without my score!

2 down 2 to go for me …

  • k…as NAN requested…the "buy jeff's IT guy a beer" button is back up in my footer…

My IT dude AND his server company people spent all day restoring this thing. They couldn't even get into it for several hours because people were on the site's main page that said "sorry – the site is down" and hitting F5 non-stop LOL…

Despite the IT frustration – I'm thankful for everyone who reads my site.

(feel free to contribute to the site expenses if you want…no obligation of course)…

Here's to AUD coming out tonight…

  • You most likely won't get it till Monday. Texas only updates the score between 12 – 5 am M-F.

  • I just got a score on AUD in WA and guess WHAT I PASSED. To be a CPA all i need is professional ethics. Thank you Jeff. This website has been so helpful all the time!!! Good Luck with your Career!!

Me too. Nice job Castle. You would not make it through the weekend without my score.

  • Maybe audit scores will be released after I get out of the shower. Everybody wish me luck in the shower!

  • Welcome back Another 71! I missed ya today but it was probably for the best. I actually got a little work done. So it appears I get to leave for Disney tomorrow, not knowing about FAR, celebrating or mourning AUD (hopefully will know tonight), and the best part of all….I GET TO DO IT ALL WITH SHINGLES!! That's right. STRESS?? Been there! Doing that! Have the SHINGLES to prove it!!

  • I just got a score on AUD in WA and guess WHAT I PASSED. To be a CPA all i need is professional ethics. Thank you Jeff. This website has been so helpful all the time!!! Good Luck with your Career!!

  • Were anyone successful in logging into CA BOA? I kept getting the "enabled cookie" message. I emailed the CA BOA support group but have not heard anything back yet.

    Thanks!

  • Jeff, I love you; but I don't like the AICPA or NASBA. Seriously, for what reason would it be acceptable for them to delay sending my results 10+ weeks after I take an exam that is scored mostly by the work of a PC. Sure there is the quality review process yadayada, but, c'mon, "if you don't receive your results by July 13th, let us know" – JULY 13TH!

I can't wait to experience the efficiency of government-provided health care.

I wish you all luck in your patience and composure in receiving your passing scores.

    STILL NO OHIO AUDIT

  • Hi, motun, I am in CA too. And I got the same score as yours. Just have one question, do you still can log into your online exam account? It asks me to accept cookies and don't show anything.

  • Is anyone still having trouble with CA site?? I keep getting the 'cookies must be enabled' message. I still haven't received my AUD score!

  • I sat for AUD on 5/28/09 in NJ? Is there anyone in NJ that sat in May got back their score yet?

FYI – REG was released in NJ on 6/18/09.

  • so when does wave 2.5 come out? i didnt get my score today even though VA released them already

  • Oooo – back in business! Yay!

Looking for the button to "Buy a beer for Jeff's IT guy"

    Looking…

    Looking…

The IT guy deserves a nice, tall, cold one, doesn't he, folks?

  • When you 1st submit your application in sitting for CPA exams, it asks your preferred method of contact. I selected email instead of snail mail; I've been getting my scores the same day as CA and IL, although I sit through NH which is a NASBA state.

  • No word on FAR yet…

This comment plugin is cool, but I'm still learning how to adjust it…so far it takes you to the first post and you have to click the last page. It loads A LOT faster though because it's java based. Someone asked for user profiles…now you have it…it has a lot of stuff…you can tell it to e-mail you any new comments from a post…I'm not sure you want that much e-mail though.

  • Has anyone seen and auditing score for VA? I called and I haven't had my posted yet….it is very frustrating!

  • Pepper01
Did you mean NASBA email you and let you know that you can check your scores online?

  • Jeff,

Thanks for working to get the site back up… we've missed you!
Question of the day… did AICPA release FAR yet?

  • I got the same reply when I tried to log-in just now. I got my advisory score this morning for AUD and now I can't get in… Wonder, what's going on. Hopefully, it will not change my passing score…

  • good to know im not the only one.. phew. I sent an email to the CA board letting them know, hopefully they don't have a 1/2 day on Fridays 🙂

  • oh my gosh.. i felt so lost without this site… thank gosh its back… oh my.. almost a heart attack

  • I sat for AUD in NH and got score notification this afternoon from NASBA via email. Good luck everyone! 2 more sections (REG and BEC) left for me to conquer!

  • I am in WA…I just passed Regulation with a 75…I am so-o-o-o-o EXCITED because I totally thought I failed it. Tax is not my thing so it is truly a miracle that I passed. Thank you, God, for that 1 extra point. So it is 3 down, 1 to go…hopefully, I passed FAR…I shall find that out soon, I guess. If I did, then I am pretty much a CPA.

I totally thought I failed REG.

All you WA people, REG scores are out! YEAH!!!!!!!!

  • Glad to see the site is back up….a little lost most of the morning!

Praying for AUD tonight…good luck to all!

  • i am having the same problem. i'm getting so stressed out since i haven't received scores for any of the 2 exams i took.( first time sitter) i called the CA-Board this morning and the lady said scores will keep being released through june 30th.

  • This site looks good … thanks Jeff !!! Do you expect NASBA to post scores for AUD tonight?

  • this thing is going to be touch and go…it's a brand new plugin and it might not be perfect, but it should save the site from crashing again…even with 1.5 gigs of RAM the server could handle the traffic…this should be better and more server-friendly

  • I just got my email from Castle (for AUD in WA). I passed!!! I gave myself a 50/50 chance since it took me a few tries on the first two sections (one of which has since lapsed – unfortunately) … so I am just beside myself right now. 🙂

  • is anyoen else having trouble accessing the CA website? it says I need to accept cookies, first time it's happened to me.

  • Everyone in CA checked the AUD scores? I could not find the numbers on the bottom of the score page. I saw only “AUD advisory score: available”. What does that mean? Do I fail? T.T

  • I didn’t see my AUD posted on VA board site yet. Called but noboday answers. Will try again. Am I unlucky again – not in this wave? wait over 2 months now!

  • Does anyone know if they post scores in waves? I took the exam through the CA state board and I still haven’t heard? Why have some people heard about their AUD scores in CA while others haven’t?

  • Yeah! Got my AUD score in CA. My very last part of the exam. I got an 80 so I am done with the exam 🙂 Thank you Jeff for keeping us grounded through the entire ordeal. I actually panicked yesterday when the site was inaccessible…

I will buy Jeff a coffee/beer to celebrate later on today!

  • I emailed nan buchanan at NASBA about AUD, and she said “They should be posted no later than Monday of next week.” So I would imagine that that means Monday of next week for NASBA states, but maybe we’ll be surprised.

  • I took my exam in MA, but through the CA board and my score isn’t up yet either… MG, you’re not the only one

  • is VA a NASBA state? does that mean NY-AUD will be posted sometime today??? ahh… freaking out…

  • Hey Jeff,

Love the site. Are we still on schedule for a NASBA release tonight, 8-12? If not, has NASBA ever released scores over the weekend?

    Thanks

  • I had dreams all night that I passed Audit, then I woke up and realized those were all dreams that I walked out to my laptop, checked my score for the millionth time, and passed. Now I’m here and there is NO score in CA for Audit. What the heck?! I see some people got it above!!!

  • Just called the VA board and got my score for AUD. 83 and I’m done with the CPA exam!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Still no score for Audit or FAR! UGH! I took the exams in late April and early May – the waiting is driving me nuts. Crossing fingers to get it today…is there still hope for that?

  • Melissa,

CA is not a NASBA state as the AICPA releases directly to the state and the State Board posts directly from their own website. This is why CA releases score before any other state.

  • this might be a silly question, but what does it mean that texas is a nasba state?

  • I sure hope FAR gets released today but it wouldn’t surprise me if it releases Saturday.

    Also….

I know this question has been asked a million times but I never could find an answer….Will AICPA & NASBA release scores over the weekend or will they wait until Monday?

  • I have a love/hate relationship with this site. I usually start hating it around score release time.

  • I saw on the other website that someone got their score from CA. Where in the world is GA??

  • Jeff,

Any word on why the smaller release for AUD so far? When the rest is coming. Thanks for any info.

  • Just called VA board. They said the score is being posted right now. And they told me the score. 89!!! Yeah.

  • Congrats AudVA! For the life of me, I cannot figure out what the hold up in score release can be.

  • dstdeelite, VA is not a NASBA state, scores are only available through the Board’s website (I think). When I called, I just wanted to get an estimate of when scores might be released. I didn’t think they would tell me my score right then. =) I hope you get your score soon! Good Luck!

  • Apparently Virginia has only received about 60% (5,000 as opposed to 8,000) of the scores they normally receive in the second wave per the Board. I am one of those 3,000 that are still out there 🙁

  • No audit for FAR in NY….. Patiently waiting…. I can’t focus on studying for REG unless Iknow these scores. ugh!!!

  • dstdeelite, Yeah the state board said that we would be notified as to what our scores are before they (the state board) are. Why don’t you call and see if they give you the same response?

  • Melissa, I’m in GA too. What do you mean? The state board told you that we’ll get our scores before they’ll get them? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I’ve been waiting for my score since 4/17 and my nerves are shot! 🙂

  • GA will not give over the phone. Just called the State Board, and was told we found out before they did. No score on NASBA yet.

  • Just called VA Board of Accountancy! They said, AUD scores were posted last night?! I still don’t see it, but they told me I got an 85! Woohoo!

  • Just called VA Board of Accountancy! They said, AUD scores were posted last night?! I still don’t see it, but apparently they told me I got an 85! Woohoo!

  • No AUD in Texas yet (NASBA) state…I’m not holding my breath for scores being posted today, although I will be checking Twitter, the TSBPA and this site for updates every 10 minutes today…yeah, I’m not getting jack accomplished at work!

  • No AUD in IL. In the past they’ve uploaded between 8:30-9:00am EST, so maybe in an hour…

  • Hi Still wait for REG and AUD –

I am also in WA State and still have not received my REG score…so you are definitely not alone. I have not heard of anyone in WA getting their REG score (let alone their AUD score) yet.

It appears that Washington will be one of the last to report, unfortunately, for us. Please all Washingtonians, when / if you receive a score, please post that you did…so that we know that maybe, just maybe, we should be checking our CastleWorldwide account. Thanks!

Sleep tight…maybe there will be good scores in the morning (like Christmas presents)…that show up miraculously in the middle of the night. 🙂

  • I am in the Washington state. I still didn’t get my REG and AUD scores. So nervous!!!! Have somebody get the REG and AUD scores in Washionton state?

  • Hi. I’ve been keeping up with this site for 2 months already, and it always gives me the encouragement i need. I was always too lazy to post my own comment, but I finally decided it’s not right to be selfish and get a boost from all you guys w/o chipping in.
    I took Reg. in Feb. 93 🙂
    Took BEC in March 72:(
studied 2 weeks for audit, and then…
Took AUD end of March STILL WAITING!!!!!!
I am using Becker. I found that they were great for Audit, pretty good for Reg, and fair for BEC-on BEC several topics they skimmed over, my examed focused on heavily…Oh well..i guess FAR goes back on the shelf and its back to BEC again. 🙁

Jeff, Is it possible you were off on the release scores for NY- I keep checking every 5 minuets!
Thanks for your site! It’s great!!!

  • Still no AUD score for me. Waiting in CA! Let’s hope the score will be there when I check in the morning. I will check Jeff’s site first before logging in… I need a bit of encouragement before hitting the refresh button on the CA BOA.

    Good luck everyone!

  • I just wanted to address Buckeye Girl’s post about definetly failing if you messed up a sim. I passed Reg with a 79 and I only did the communication and research tabs on my 2nd sim. The other tabs (and there were many) I left completely blank. Of course, I was absolutely positive that I failed, especially since I didn’t feel good about the MC either. So anybody that is worried about not passing because they completely butchered a sim, don’t freak out, and hope for the best. Good luck to everyone.

  • You only lose that one section..that would be torture if you had to retake all. Each time you sit the 18 months starts for that one exam.

Please, correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure that’s the rule.

  • Hello! I’m afraid this is a Q which may some ppl consider silly! But I asked some CPAs and they don’t know exactly!!

Regarding the Credit Period of CPA exam sections,i.e. the 18 months, I know I have to pass all the 4 within the credit period to complete it, but what confuses me, if the FIRST section credit expires, & I passed some sections thereafter, DO ALL OF THE Sections expire with that and I have to retake all of them? OR only that specific section (the 1st) expires and I should repeat that specific section ONLY, and the credit period for other sections continue, each section with its individual credit period which I should pass other section within? Thanks in advance.

  • He’s gone…please don’t lose your cool when someone is on here trying to provoke…it gets ugly fast.

If someone is being obnoxious and only here to cause problems, I’ll block them…just give me time to do it.

    Thanks everyone…have a good evening.

  • People ,,, try your best to ignore comments that are unrelated to what we are focused on. Its hard to imagine being a CPA and finding time to come on a site late at night to incite people who are waiting to see if they passed.

What can you do, people see the image of themselves that they want to see.

  • Thanks guys for the inspirational messages,i am more motivated than ever.I am actually at it as i type.

  • There may be people who write or speak that is considered grammatically incorrect, and I too notice these kinds of things b/c…well, I just do. However, CPA-hole, it is very, very rude to bring that to someone’s attention unless you are an English teacher teaching that person, or his or her parent! So, maybe there are some who need to brush up on their English, but you need to brush up on proper etiquette…and maybe drink some of that Crown Royal people are blogging about…who knows you might even get laid and actually have a better attitude and not worry what other people do! Unless you have so many flaws yourself, it is just easier to pick on someone else b/c you’re a lost cause! Seriously, GET A LIFE! You’re still a dork and being a CPA is not going to make you cool with the ladies!

  • People say FAR is the hardest, and it certainly is in terms of the breadth of knowledge you need to know, and since it is 9 sections of learning… However, most of us focused on FAR in undergrad (accounting 100, intermediate part 1 and 2, and possibly some electives) so it is very familiar for the most part.

I am studying REG right now and it is very hard for me because I never took any classes on corporate and partnership taxation, business law, or learn about things such as agency, surety, securities laws, and other subjects that are unfamiliar. Reg feels harder for me… And all these crazy tax things to remember!? (Fazes out after 10% of AGI up to a maximum of bleah bleah bleah but at a minimum….. very tiring). What do you all think?

  • FAR= AUD+BEC+REG..i am saying it because chances of you getting lucky in FAR is really far from reality

  • I can’t not beleive that anyones would right something like that. Thoose of us who failed tryed hardest than we’d ever tryed before. Please don’t not make funna us. Wee’s are acountants not englishants.

  • I am desperately waiting for my AUD score!!!!
If i pass, then I only have FAR left, which I am writing next month… what ya’ll opinion on FAR, it is the toughest??

  • OMG – please release the AUD scores! I can’t take this anymore… 🙁 I have been passing the time by listening to old Partridge Family songs on You Tube. What could be worse? 🙂

  • I took FAR April 10th and hope my grade comes out with Waive 2. Has anyone ever had an exam get lost? My nerves are about shot and my productivity levels are tanking. This is my last section, which isn’t helping the nerves at all.

  • Still No AUD in MI yet…
This is my last section too. I would hate to go into weekend wondering when the score would come up…and My BEC expires in July…

  • I think it would be worth it to just wait until tomorrow. Who knows, maybe it is hopeful thinking that NASBA might have their s**t together by tomorrow. I have given up tonight- convinced that the scores will not be released.

  • Do NASBA Post score over the weekend? is there any people work on weekend? I am wondering because the prediction for FAR is on Saturday. Sorry for the stupid question. I am just another CPA candidate dying to see my score. good luck to everyone of you.

  • If a majority of the aspiring CPA’s boycott the test, maybe that will give them enough incentive to timely get th results to us.

  • Vicki…you are checking in the right spot. that error message is normal and it just means your score has not been uploaded onto NASBA yet. hang in there!

  • CA AUD – Pretty sure CA “can” update their scores in the evening, but I’m expecting them to be posted tomorrow morning. I think it’ll be the first thing I do in the A.M.

    Good luck to all!

Next up I want some updates / news on FAR!

  • When I try to check my score at NASBA website in the “Scores” section for Wisconsin, I get the following feedback: “Error:Score not found. Please verify Section ID Number and Date of Birth format and re-submit. ”
I am sure that the section number and date of birth that I enter are correct. Is it a normal reply which means that score is not released yet or I am checking in a wrong place?

    Thanks!

  • we’re all going crazy because jeff has given us expectations with his predictions. All you gotta do is call the AICPA everyday (which is probably what jeff does) and you’ll be able to ballpark it. Lets try to be patient, and also, lets push back against the AICPA and complain about how long this s*** is taking. they’re definitely being lazy because they can. We need to light a fire where the sun don’t shine.

  • Does anyone in CA know if you ever got to see the score the same day as AICPA release in the evening? Basically do they update their system in the evening or is it usually in the morning?

Any CA candidate response is appreciated.

  • Oh where, Oh where are the audit scores, Oh Where, Oh Where can they be???? Illinois, tested 4/7/09.

  • NO OHIO, YET! 10 WEEKS WAITING AND THEY STILL CAN’T GET IT STRAIT.

IF MORE THAN 90% OF THE TEST IS SCORED ELECTRONICALLY HOW CAN IT TAKE THEM SOOOOOOOOOOOO LONG TO PROVIDE A GRADE?

    LAZINESS

  • Is it easy to tell when you get medium or hard testlets? Felt I did well however could not tell the difficulty of the testlets one to the other.

  • Buckeye Girl,

I am a regular person too. I sat for FAR in April and didn’t complete the last sim. I completely screwed up on a lot of the MC’s. I thought I failed. I thought I failed so bad, that I started studying again. I got my score back in the first wave, 85. Not all the people on this site are lying. At least I’m not.

If you mess up on a Sim, YOU WILL NOT FAIL.

  • this is a public service message. I am a regular person. I sat for REG for the first part of my CPA exam journey in May. I felt OK/good about the MQ’s. The first sims was tough but I felt I was able to answer correctly. The second sims was something becker totally skimed on and I bombed that sim. I left the test knowing that because of the last sim I failed.

However I started to read this and site and CPA net and people were posting about how they felt they “failed” but ended up with 80’s or higher. I really started to feel that I might have passed. I received my score yesterday and I had a 74. So this is for anyone who is “normal”. Please don’t believe the posts these people write. If you mess up a sim or leave it blank you WILL fail. Now that I have sat for a part and received my score I will know weather I “failed” or not when I leave the testing site. I hope this helps.

  • Can NASBA release scores on a Saturday? If so, what’s the likelihood this will happen should AUD not be released on Friday?

  • yeah – you guys killed the SQL…and I don’t even know what that means exactly.

I’m not sure what the solution is…218,000 page views since Monday…gotta figure something out or this will happen again this week…and my IT guy’s time is not free.

    Thinking…thinking. For now…enjoy the night.

    -Jeff

  • I know how to check for my score report on NASBA. Is there a way to see it on the AICPA website, too? Or is the AICPA release date just helpful in determining when the score report should get to NASBA or a specific state’s society?

  • Yeah, Jeff’s site is back! Almost didn’t know what to do when I could not see everyone’s comments on this site and kept getting database connection error message! Getting nervous about AUD score and cannot read all the posts here, making it worse!

  • Does anyone see a trend in score release? Alternate business days?
    Friday, tue, thurs.

If i remember correctly i think i saw the same trend for Wave 1 in May.

Is this something new or has this been seen before as well?

    Any thoughts!

  • Nikki,
CA has a different system to check scores. CA applicants check through the California Board of Accountancy website to check their scores, not the NASBA website. So, if you are not in CA, disregard the instructions being posted on how to check your score.

  • Silly me for thinking it would be posted under the title “Score”! I guess I just have to wait a few more days and it will all become clear…

  • What is this “status” page you guys are talkin about. Is there another place to check scores other than NASBA? Unless each state’s way of checking is different under the NASBA page….

  • for CA it appears at the bottom of the page as an advisory score. After a little while it’ll move up to the top of the page and say “credit” if you have passed with your score up in the box.

  • Desperate-CA,

I *think* it is at the very top of the status page. It lists “Exam Section” then “Score” then “Status”. I am not sure, however, as I am waiting for my first section.

    Good luck!

  • I’m still waiting in CA. Can someone in CA tell me where the score appears? Is it at the bottom of the page, in the Status Information box? Currently, my status information box only says ‘CBT exam attendance received by nasba’ and then either ‘attended’ or ‘pending’ next to each exam.

  • Thank you for the blackberry advice! I have the Bolt browser downloaded to my Pearl – as long as you copy and paste the specific URL with your section ID and birth date, Bolt can provide your score on a Pearl.

  • Its works on your blackberry.

    Do this:

    1. On your computer input the section id and bday. then enter.
    2. Copy the entire www address that pops up and send it to yourself in an email
    3. Open the email up on your berry and click the link.
    4. If your berry is new enough (mine is a bold) the site will load.
    5. The site at first will look very screwed up. what you need to do is open your menu and select “column view” instead of “page view” which is usually the default view.
    6. Scroll down and see your score.

  • Jeff/Anyone else that REALLY knows,

Does NASBA release on Saturdays…in case we don’t see AUD tomorrow night?

  • Jeff,

Were there enough FAR scores released in wave 1 that wave 2 will come in a timely manner? Or do you think they may be held up in the same way that AUD was? Also, does the AICPA release scores on Saturday?

  • 2 down BEC & REG
lets see how badly i fare in the remainin two.
    FML
    feel miserable
i hope i only have to retake BEC & REG
i cant take more than that.

  • Sorry, I don’t think you can get your score via your blackberry. I’m no techie, but I think you’d need Java for that, which the blackberry will not support. Sorry.

  • Horse with no name:

The XR stands for Extra Rare. It’s the cream of the crop, if you will. You can check it out on their website. It’s delicious.

  • I am also looking forward to getting my AUD score. I have taken it twice before (72,74 ouch) and feel I did pretty good.? I just need to have done 1 point better, right? Anyway, I don’t drink so if I pass, I will just have a piece of toast and think of everyone else going through this madness.

    Good luck to all.

  • I am very much looking forward to a passing score on AUD. It’s my last section and the only one that I had to retake. Plus, the wife bought me a bottle of Crown Royal XR to celebrate with when I finally get that last passing score. So if I did indeed pass, I’ll be sure to toast to all of you.

  • I definitely think that AICPA will release FAR on Saturday and NASBA on Monday…it follows the trend of all of the other releases.

  • Good luck to all the people awaiting their audit scores! I was hoping FAR would sneak in through the backdoor, but sounds as if the audit students deserve this more as so many are from wave 1. Even if FAR gets released tomnorrow, NASBA won’t release till Monday night. My best guess is that FAR gets released Monday, and NASBA on Tuesday. Thats 5 more sleeps :-(. Least I get the weekend to savour my REG success. FAR is the only thing standing in my way of becoming a Certified Pain in the A#@$

  • quick question for someone who is willing to answer. it seems almost everyone on here is in a jurisdiction that has online score reporting from nasba. being in the north dakota frontier, i do not 🙁 . can someone explain to me when i would get my AUD scores? if they are out from aicpa today, nasba posts them on their site tomorrow evening, then would i have to wait until monday to receive word from my state board? anyone know the logistics?

    Thanks!

  • I Hate Auditing: (Like tax is better…)

I was in the same boat. I graduated college in May and took auditing late may. I sent in my final transcript June 8th (they received it June 11th) and I was able to look at my score Earlier this week on the 16th. It all depends on how backed up that particular site is with processing transcripts. I did call in and kind of pushed them by letting them know I am waiting to schedule the next portion of the CPA exam. That seemed to help.

  • The FAR Scores have been released.

J/K…everyone needs to settle down. There is a life outside of the CPA exam, never lose sight of that.

  • Melissa in Amsterdam, Thank you. I will keep in mind. Hopefully FAR will be my last in July (I am waiting for Audit)… And I will check the job market right after that.

  • I took REG in early May while still in grad school. I graduated late May, and had the college I went to send out my final transcripts to NASBA earlier this week. This means that NASBA probably received my transcripts yesterday or today.

The NASBA website says that scores will be held until final transcripts are received.

Am I goiong to have to wait several more weeks to even see my score?

It seems that everything that NASBA does is SLOW. I emailed my state coordinator earlier this morning about this matter, but she has yet to reply. It always takes her a couple of days to respond to me 🙁

I am SO frustrated with the utter lack of urgency these people do their job with.

  • Why are the scores for REG for WA still not out?

That’s Castle’s standard response. They are usually pretty good but I did have to wait a very long time for my BEC score last year. I really don’t want to have to go through that again.

    D

  • FAR-lalalalalalalala ~ I think I have officially lost my mind from the wait………………

  • Question for everyone, I have a blackberry pearl via Verizon and when I tried to pull up the NASBA score screen it came up all distorted and there was no submit button below where you enter the ID and DOB. Has anyone had any luck with this or any ideas?? I will def want to get my score tomorrow night when they come up, but considering its Fri night and a friend of mine has a free happy hour from 6-8 I will be out relaxing my nerves and would like to avoid coming all the way home to check my score even tho if that is my only option I will probably do it… how sad is that? Be willing to ruin a perfectly good Fri night, oh wait, I forgot who I was talking to, glad to know most of you would make the same sacrifice 🙂 But yea, if you know of any tricks with the Pearl please let me know, I may have a major reason to celebrate tomorrow as this is hopefully my last one!

  • For IL people…

I don’t know if AUD will go this way too but when REG was released Tuesday and Jeff said not to expect scores until Wednesday he was right. Scores were still not posted when I checked Wednesday morning at 5:45am (or 6:30 or 6:45 or 7:00….) but (and I just checked my phone to confirm the time) my husband, who had also taken the REG exam, called me at 7:55 to ask what fancy place we should go to for our celebratory lunch. So they must have posted them sometime between 7:30 & 8am.

FYI, we had Chipotle. It’s not fancy but it’s delicious!

  • when do state boards receive the NASBA scores to mail out? and do they receive by email or regular mail?

  • Thanks Jeff….just so nervou
s now that I wish I had not seen those words…at least all the anxiety will be over soon…i will now be able to continue on my quest in some direction!!!

  • Ok all. I give up for the day. My refresh finger is sore, I haven’t done ANYTHING billable in 2 days (officially) and am leaving work in 30 minutes. Time to wrap it up, pray for the best, and move on. Good luck non-NASBA states. NASBA states, I will be back bright and early in the morning refreshing with you knowing darn well that the scores are not posted. Luv ya all! You are the final thread of my sanity!

  • Just think…. Right now. At this very moment our FAR scores are on someone’s desk. Just sitting there….

  • I think it just has to be processed through their IT system, and this only happens at certain times each day.

  • MW – Accountants are NEEDED badly in Amsterdam. There is a huge ad campaign for accountants……and there are a lot of CPAs here. I work for a big 4 firm, which is very international and we have partners who are CPA only. Come on over – you should have no problem getting a job. The only down side is that the sun rarely makes an appearance!

  • Just out of curiosity, why does NASBA take 1-2 days from the AICPA release? Do they analyze the scores or something?

  • Melissa in Amsterdam, how is the job market for CPA’s in NL? Any input? … planning to join you sometime in a near future.

  • “I was just on the phone with NASBA, they said that score will be randomly released between now and July 15th for the April testing window.”

Allow 2-4 weeks for delivery….Standard script. I promise. I started with my reps extension and created a list going backwards and forwards numerially. Good news is I have a contact list. Bad news is they ain’t gonna tell you squat.

  • dragon-
that is their canned answer. they get sick of fielding those calls, so they are really rude and give vague answers. we should have everything to us by the middle of next week (hopefully!)

  • I was just on the phone with NASBA, they said that score will be randomly released between now and July 15th for the April testing window.

    Can anyone say WTF?

  • mka – I don’t think so. Jeff just posted that AICPA released AUD today so we’ll probably get it tomorrow night. I’m in the same boat as you, I took AUD on 4/7…the wait is ridiculous.

  • SERIOUSLY – so happy that I found this website! Living in Amsterdam, no one understands the torment and obsession of checking the NASBA website every 40 seconds. I’ve been doing this religiously for 3 weeks. Sad, but oh so true.

hmm…with overall odds of 110% i’m pretty sure there is a good chance you failed your exam, regardless of the section

  • My predictions – (Just for fun. Like it matters what I predict…)

    AICPA Release:

BEC – Saturday, June 13 (Actual release Friday June 12 4pm CST)
REG – Monday, June 15 (Actual release Tuesday June 16 3:45 pm CST)
    AUD – Thursday, June 18
    FAR – Friday, June 19

NASBA Release (posted between 8pm and midnight EST):

BEC – Monday, June 15 (Actual release Monday, June 15)
    REG – Wednesday, June 17
    AUD – Friday, June 19
    FAR – Monday, June 22

If this comes true I am buying a lottery ticket!

It’s true! The AICPA is trying to kill us! B.A.R.F.!!!

  • I am retracting my previous statement and the AICPA will NOT be on the receiving end of a flaming bag of doggie deuce. Their doorsteps will be just as clean in the morning as when they go to sleep tonight.

  • LOL, Angela, I think your right, however, my fingers still force me to the NASBA website to check, even though I know there is no way it could be up yet… what is wrong with ME???

  • Apparently, the AICPA releases scores around 4 (at least in this wave). The non-NASBA states will probably post them same evening. NASBA will post them between 8:30 and midnight the next business night. This is how the actuals have come so far. SOOOOOO that means IL, CA, etc should see theirs shortly and NASBA states should see theirs Friday evening. I could be wrong, but this is my theory.

  • PLEASE GOD PLEASE LET THIS TORMENT END. I HAVE BEEN WAITING THIS MOMENT ALMOST TWO MONTHS. PLEASE DON’T PUT ME IN THE DEEPEST HOLE IN MY MIND. LET ME SPEND MY TIME WITH MY LOVELY FAMILY FRIENDS AND GIRLFRIEND.

  • Is it possible NASBA will upload tonight or because AICPA didnt upload until now Audit for NASBA will have to wait until tomorrow night batch run?

Thanks and good luck to all!

  • Maybe the nice post to the AICPA for AUD worked and us poor, deprvied FAR people should go that route too? 😉

    (Just in case…)

Please, please, please, please, please release FAR, AICPA! I’ve already planned my Saturday night around many, many adult beverages…I just want to know if I’ll be celebrating or drowning my sorrows.

  • Jeff, I like how you are now writing in bold. It helps your comments stand out from the rest which is wonderful. Thank you!

  • Just called the KY Board of Accountancy about 10 minutes after I heard the AUD had been released. Said they had still not received anything. KY is a NON-NASBA state. Scores are posted directly to the state’s website. So now I have a 1 hour and 7 minutes window for them to receive the scores and post them to the internet (again, they close at 4:30 which just weirds me out).

  • Does it mean NASBA states candidates can get their scores tonight, 8pm CST? I am from Pennsylvania.

  • Jeff.
Please update your predictions with actuals. And also let me know when can I see the results online – Colorado board

  • I am pretty sure that somebody has asked this question earlier, so please forgive me, but I have been waiting for it for 2.5 months: any chances for NY AUD tonight?

When will IL post the scores?????

    =====

Jeff said we have to wait for IL baby bird to take the AUD worm that the AICPA just dropped in the CPA nest…

  • Why are the scores for REG for WA still not out? I just called Castle, and they said that they will be out sometime before the last day of June. Why do we have to keep waiting…why…oh why???

  • Is there any hope at all for the AICPA to release FAR today, or is that completely wishful thinking on my part? About how long after AICPA releases does NASBA release?

  • Hey Jeff – and everybody else. I apologize as I haven’t done my homework on how the score reporting process works, but when you say the AICPA has released the AUD scores, how does that translate into when I can see my scores on the Texas State Board web site?

  • Just waiting for the nasba FAR release now. It could be the last one, but I’m prepared to be retaking this summer. Come one AICPA, please!

  • If the AICPA just released the AUD scores, will the NASBA states see them tonight or tomorrow night? Thanks!

  • Thanks Jeff! I’m dying to know. Seeing your post just made my stomach flip. I’m sick of dreaming about my score, I want the real thing!

  • Jeff, if the AICPA just released audit, does that mean the NASBA states should be posted tonight or tomorrow night?

  • I kept myself calm because I knew that AUD had to come out, but now that it’s out GIVE US FAR!!!!!!!

  • I want my FAR score. Look this is just completely crazy that I have to wait this long for a score. I will be completely and insanely upset if I am waiting all this time for a failing score. I want to know so I can plan my other test accordingly. Okay I am sorry I am really upset… rambling…I WANT MY LIFE BACK.

  • Jeff, I know you’re married and this sounds weird, but I love you. I’ve been waiting to read those words for 3 days now. Thank You.

  • This score waiting period is worse than the studying. At least with studying you have some sense of control. Before the exam, there’s the crazy anxiety. But waiting for your score there’s anxiety compounded with frustration. This is absolutely maddening.

Have they ever spread out the release this long? BEC on June 20th and still no AUD or FAR six days later?

  • Can someone please explain to me like in Arizona if NASBA released scores yesterday, will Arizona receive today to mail out today/tomorrow? please help!

  • If anyone could answer this for me it would be super:

I see that NASBA and AICPA released BEC: yet I have not received my score from MO.

How long do I have to suffer with all of you?
    Days…weeks…months?

  • Sorry Jeff,

I understand your concern. I will tone it down. Just trying to take people’s minds off this waiting process.

Although if I was compared to Chuck Norris I would be flattered.

  • Once NASBA has the scores for a section, does it take a couple of days to post or all the scores posted at once. For example day one 50%, day two remaining 50%.

  • Someone should place an order for a batch of peter olinto bobbleheads… and sell them

    I would definately buy one

As a reminder, please don’t characterize any review course instructors in a way that they would perceive as unflattering. They work for corporations that have much more money in the bank and many more lawyers than I do.

    Thank you for understanding.

  • I’m really not sure which one’s better – Gearty or Olinto. I like Gearty’s note structure better, but I like Olinto’s explanations better. It’s a catch-22.

  • AUDIT AUDIT AUDIT AUDIT AUDIT AUDIT AUDIT AUDIT AUDIT AUDIT (As you read that imagine the slow clap building to a normal clap as if it were your favorite athlete and you are chanting their name…)

I figured maybe if we provide some encouragement and ask nicely, please pretty please with a cherry on top, maybe Audit will get released…

Just a thought. This is my last one and while I have been really quite good at the whole understanding I have to wait and not really thinking about it, now I am very anxious. In fact I went shopping at H&M during my lunch break today and all I could think was, well if I failed I’ll just have to bring it all back so I can pay to retake the stupid exam… After failing my first 2, I have passed the last three in a row: 75 Reg, 76 BEC, 77 Far, so I’m praying the trend continues and I can really enjoy my new purchases!

Thanks Jeff for the site, it has provided great entertaining and information during my anxious hours… oy. I didn’t see a need to join Club 75 for my last and final part, but I have every intention of buying you that beer when I get my final passing score 🙂 Lord knows I will be consuming plenty myself to celebrate!

If we join Club 75, do you only e-mail updates or can you text them too? If NASBA scores are not posted before Sat morn my family is going to throw me off Space Mountain for wanting to be back in the hotel room hitting F5 every 30 seconds.

  • Hey Jay, you know what you won’t be able to do with your iphone? That’s right, you won’t be able to get your exam scores.

  • The only thing getting me through this week without scores is the fact that my new iphone is coming tomorrow!

AUD AND FAR I HATE YOU .. oh yeah you too AICPA

  • On several occasions I’ve debated lying and posting on this site that audit scores have been posted. But that would just be cruel and Jeff would probably ban me from this site

  • If the AICPA doesn?t release AUD today, they can expect to wake up and find a flaming bag of doggie deuce on their doorstep.

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I know you don’t want to read 2000+ posts, but really, asking what Jeff thinks of Yaeger’s Cram? Maybe spend 5 minutes…let’s make that 2 minutes browsing Jeff’s site, and you’ll know what he thinks…..He credits his passing the exam to Yaeger…….Anyone who has failed the exam twice with the same materials (and has put in adequate studying) no matter what they are using needs to switch review materials. You get to a point where you don’t know what else to study in the materials. It happened to my husband with FAR on Becker.

has anyone in wi gotten reg scores yet?

No one in WI will receive their scores until WI receives all scores from wave 2 for all sections. So once you hear that other people have received both AUD and FAR, then you can start checking in WI.

Its pretty annoying since you know that WI is just sitting on the REG and BEC scores?.

So… pretty much not for another week then??

  • ?NO REG IN WA STATE YET!?!?!?

Reg has not made an appearance here yet, seems like he had better places to visit.

In my experience Castle (WA) post the day after AICPA releases. I hope so, because I want to receive my AUD score this week.

  • (Disclaimer – this is to humor myself and others)

We have 62k views on this site alone, close to over 2k comments on this page alone, multiple complaints, wild predictions, praises and requests for the man with the crystal ball.

I’m sure someone has even thought of congregating a group, who have not received AUD and FAR scores, with pitchforks and torches and arrive in front of the AICPA building to have the examiners be burned at the stake (or tarred and feathered, pick your poison for choices of public embarrassment) for taking too long grading our exams.

For those with REG and BEC scores on this window, you are welcome to join us. The examiners played a part in your torture for administering the exam for however long it took you to pass it.

My congrats to all who passed. My condolences to all who failed. Trust me, I have been there. Keep it up and don’t slack. Just take care of business. We all end up in the same place soon enough.

  • Tempers appear to be spiking. Calm down everyone. We’ll get there. At least your not all waiting for FAR in a NASBA state like I am!

  • even without the scores coming out…all this madness is still providing me endless hours of entertainment!…people are funny.

  • Thanks, Jeff! Your prediction for REG was right on the nose.

i got my REG score (NYC) from the NASBA site last night (June 17).

Ya know, this is so sad.

Jeff is a guy who busted his ash to study for and pass the CPA Exam while maintaining a family and a job-JUST LIKE THE REST OF US!

Jeff passed the CPA exam – UNLIKE THE REST OF US (SO FAR)

Jeff is continuing to take time our of his busy schedule TO INFORM AND PUT UP WITH THE REST OF US!!

We post a comment and think that is it. WRONG! I have dealt with websites and blogs and that is not the final answer. There is always someone in the background, JEFF, making things work and filtering those things that would make this not work. I can almost guarantee you that we do not see everything that is submitted.

I know I am rambling, but jeez. If you don’t want to pay for Club 75, then don’t!! If you don’t want Yeager, then don’t buy it! If you don’t like Jeff’s predictions, then GET OFF THIS DAMN BLOG!

Otherwise gripe about NASBA, the AICPA, ME for all I care, but please give Jeff a break!

  • Geez…I can’t believe no info about AICPA AUD release. NASBA release for Friday is not looking good at all? Does NASBA definitely release on Saturdays?

  • Jeff, How much money do you get from Yaeger for advertising and promoting his site. What’s the purpose of paying some random guy named Jeff money to join his Club 75?

  • I can not take in anymore. Not knowing that is. If it is today, great. If it next week, I’ll be dissapointed, but ok. But not knowing that is driving me insane. Am I wasting my time waiting on something that will not happen?

Jeff, I appreciate what you are doing. And I will not ask you to do anymore than what you’re already doing. Ok, maybe just this one time. Can you contact your source and squeeze every little bit of info you can get?

  • AICPA has not released score for audit till now.then when should we expect from nasba.pls give the date so that we should not waste time ……………….

  • I found out I failed Reg with a 74…how on earth do you find the motivation to get back and study after receiving a failing grade like this?

  • LOL,,,once i hear about my audit score; hopefully the wait for my gold will be begin

  • “I hear that the state board sends you a significant amount of gold coins (kugerands to be exact) once you pass. Can anyone confirm this?”

As a matter of fact, “HORSE WITH NO NAME” they do. My friend passed hers in 2007 and is still waiting for her portion to be released. And we thought score releases were painful. 🙂

  • I can’t stand the anxiety and don’t know if I even have a chance at a passing score come Saturday results!!! Could anyone offer some thoughts whether you have passed FAR or attempted FAR share your experience when you did not get time to complete the exam and your end results (pass or fail)? I got timed out before I could finish sim 2. Please help relieve some anxiety!!! THANKS!

  • MD-FAR….I’ll let you know when I reach that point! LOL!! We should all be so lucky!

  • I check just to check. I know the score won’t be there but I go to NASBA a few times a day just to pay them a visit….

  • I don’t think the wait would be as frustrating if we weren’t on an 18 month clock.

  • why do people insist on checking the NASBA site for their AUD grade. if the AICPA hasnt released it yet, it wont be there. JEFF WILL LET YOU KNOW. HAVE FAITH.
    thanks Jeff.
Audit will be my last section. taking it in July!

  • Rox – I am in the same boat as you I took FAR on 5/30 (my last part) and my AUD expires Aug 27th. I am in complete suspense!!! I found this site a few days ago and I am so thankful! It has been a real blessing to see what others are going through!

  • I hear that the state board sends you a significant amount of gold coins (kugerands to be exact) once you pass. Can anyone confirm this?

  • I received my FAR scores in the mail in May, with wave 1, but I have never been able to pull them up on the nasba site. Is that normal? I am now waiting for my AUD scores, but worried that they will not come up on nasba. Would my FAR scores only have been up online for a short window?

  • Question!!! Does anyone know, If you?ve passed the last section of the exam, do you also get another e-mail congratulating you for passing all four parts concurrently with the e-mail stating that your score is posted on the Board of Accountancy?s website?

  • I’m currently waiting on FAR results. It’s the last one I need. The pressure is on because my AUD score expires on Aug 30. I put the time in and studied really hard, but I’m still nervous. I took FAR on May 30 so it’s not like I’ve been waiting long which is a nice change. Part of me though is dreading the scores being posted out of fear. As long as they aren’t posted, I didn’t fail. Anybody else feeling like that?

  • In all seriousness Jeff….Is there a formal way to complain? It seems outrageous that an electronically administered exam can take this long to release!!!

I would rather go back to the pencil and paper days!!! At least then my expectations were much lower of these people. I don’t know who is slower….government works or the people grading the exams!!!

But I do love the site!!! And the anxiety is setting in!!!

  • this is getting crazy, i took audit april 3rd in IL and still waiting for my score. over 2 months for a score release is kinda insane!!!! i wanna show someone a piece of my mind!!!!

  • I have been in agaony for the last 2.5 months over this AUD test. I was also one that would have finished it like 2 1/2 hours early. The only thing that kept me there was that I spent an enormous amount of time on the Sims. The rest of the exam felt like a joke. So I either blitzed it or failed terribly.

Does anyone know if we can see how many times we checked the Nasba website for our scores? I am curious if I hit 5 digits yet.

  • Possibility of FAR coming out before AUD because of the high number of wave 2 scores for AUD? Thoughts Jeff?

  • Holdup on AUD?

Low Wave 1 scores are *now* affecting Wave 2 ? I had ?not? which was a typo ? my fault :/

Jeff: is there any more specific info regarding wave 1 vs. wave 2 for audit? i.e. do you think they will all be released at the same time, or maybe Wave 1 and then Wave 2 another day? Updated predictions at all?

    Thanks so much!

  • so if low scores were in wave 1 does this mean there is a greater chance of a “curve” to help us with passing scores in wave 2?

  • We may actually be the biggest bunch of OCD freaks around. Only we would understand this blog 🙂

  • almost two months of waiting for one exam should be against the law. Where can I file a complaint?

  • The suspense for audit is killing me… I can’t wait to find out that this is officially over 🙂 Good luck to all who are still studying.

  • Would anybody be willing to join me to file a class-action lawsuit against the AICPA for my newly developed anxiety disorder? I mean I check the NASBA site 12 times a day in a prayer that Jeff was grossly wrong with his predictions and that FAR would come out like 6 weeks ago (Jeff I trust you completely, but wishful thinking that you might be wrong/late on your predictions).

  • Jeff,

Is there any chance AICPA will go ahead and release the FAR scores ahead of AUD due to the hold up on AUD? Have you ever seen that before?

    Thanks in advance!

  • WaitingAudit, I understand your complete frustration. I am waiting for my scores to get here by MAIL… which is horrible and awful.

I find that medication helps with all that anxiety and frustration. 🙂 (Legal and prescribed, of course…)

  • If AUDIT is late because of wave 1 release, tell AUDIT that he had more time to get their stuff together because their was not as many tests to grade.

I slept with AUDIT’s wife. She said that its not the wave 1 release, but that AUDIT is a pathetic loser that wastes his time at the bars.

  • Mail asked: “for states that mail?.. does anyone know if NASBA mails to the state then the state mails or if NASBA just emails the state the score and then the state mails out letters from there?”

I think they must submit to the states electronically. I am from Mississippi, and I usually get my scores in the mail about 4 days after the AICPA releases scores to the States. I doubt they would be able to turn scores around so quickly if they were not received electronically.

So does the low number of AUD in Wave 1 mean there?s a chance FAR could come before AUD?

I have the exact same question!! Would make since to push out FAR if it’s up and ready. But the AICPA doesn’t always make since.

  • Jeff,

Can you clarify your comments on the hold up for audit? You say the holdup is due to low # of wave 1 released….then go on to say it’s not affecting wave 2. What is not affecting wave 2?

Also…any idea why the low # of wave 1 releases is affecting the release date of wave 2??? Wave 1 scores not released would have had another 4+ weeks to be graded during wave 2.

I realize these may be dumb questions…but the whole scoring process for the exam seems a@$ backwards. I don’t understand the hold up when 90% of the available points are graded electronically w/only 10% being left to subjective review???

  • The holdup on AUD is the low # of Wave 1 scores released?it?s not affecting Wave 2.

Ugh!! How dumb is that?? Jeez, these people never cease to amaze me. They decide how many they’re going to release on each wave. Then they don’t release enough in Wave 1 so there is more work to do in order to release Wave 2. How stupid is that?? WTF!! I just want to know either way: pass or fail.

  • I know Lisa. I keep telling myself that maybe I passed, but it is highly unlikely. Trying to keep my fingers crossed! Good luck!

  • Bigmac – they only released 63% of audit in the first wave. so the second wave has the rest of the first wave people in addition to all the people who took audit in the second wave. so they have a lot more to grade.

Jeff, I don’t understand what your saying. I am confused, I can’t think, I can’t work, and now I can’t understand what your saying. I’m going crazy.

  • for states that mail….. does anyone know if NASBA mails to the state then the state mails or if NASBA just emails the state the score and then the state mails out letters from there?

  • I’m from Mississippi, and we receive our scores by mail. It usually takes about 4 days from when AICPA releases the scores for me to get my score. So I’m assuming that the State of Mississippi gets the scores electronically, then prints/mails them pretty quickly.

  • Same here “going insane” Took AUD in GA on 04/23 and completely feel I failed. I used Becker too. My problem is the exam seemed way too easy. I mean REALLY EASY. I finished in 2 hours and answered all the questions and the simulations. So I figure I failed, but would like to know. I keep playing mind games, maybe I did pass, but there is no way, etc. It is making me go crazy!!

Does AICPA need to release Audit first before NASBA will?

Yes. The AICPA grades the tests and the NASBA administers the testing process.

  • Still waiting on audit in GA- took it 4/14. The suspense is killing me. Took Becker and felt nothing I studied was on the exam. Think I failed, but just want to know for sure.

  • 71 on REG, but if I had to fail, the fact that I got a 71 kind of makes me smile. Thanks for all you do Jeff this website has been very helpful! I’ll be back obsessing over the first score release in August!
