Good question Steph...at the risk of getting hate mail, I'm going to predict FAR coming out on a Thursday by the AICPA and NASBA releasing Saturday evening. They run the batch all weekend, so it is feasible that they could come out on a Saturday night. I've been 4/4 and I've been 0/4...last wave I was 2/4...they are just predictions based on what my "best guess" is and I will update with information in real time as I get it.
Jeff I dont know if I can wait that long! I am waiting on FAR and it is my last exam. If I don't pass I have one more shot before I lose credit for AUD. Should I start studying or just wait for my results?

Does anyone have a clue of how the exams are SCALED?? I ran out of time on FARE and was sure that I got both research questions wrong. I was positive that I failed. I ended up getting a 79 and have no idea how that happened.
So, there is no point of checking the score now? I took AUD in NY on the 9th of April.

Wow. 3 weeks until REG is released. That's sooner than I thought. At least I'll have adequate time to prepare for a second go-round before the end of July, if necessary. I'm sure my score is in the 70s. I just don't know which side.

wait aint that long.... if only we stop counting everyday towards the score releases there's so much pending we havta catch up on which we left out during studyin for these exams... we could all be busy doin all of that!

I will believe REG coming out second when I see it!! haha The past two waves sure have been a pain for the REG exam takers. I hope no one else has to go through that!!

Has anyone in North Carolina received their AUD score? I took my exam 4/6 and haven't heard anything. The NC site says their were mail 5/21/09 but I haven't received anything. Where are the scores mailed from?

Jeff, REG is the last section I need to pass and the score will be released in wave 2. A coworker told me that if I passed it, it will take about a week longer than expected. Is there any truth to this based on your understanding of the release dates?

"Borderline" people *could* have their scores delayed up to 5 days, though.

Some states get them out immediately...NASBA is about a day and a half later...some states are very sllloowwww to release and still use snail mail.
CPA seattle - I'm in WA as well and have not received my wave 1 REG score. I received an email from NASBA saying they have received my score and I should be receiving the score from Castle in "a few days". Maybe technical difficulties, not sure. No one at Castle will give any information, sounds like you've gotten further with them then I have. Hang in there, sounds like scores are coming for WA.
Thanks Jeff, appreciate your response. Hopefully they're just late and not actually excluded from the general release. If you have a chance to provide feedback to NASBA, I would think it's fair to suggest that they provide better scores release notice/info to exam takers. It's ironic that us CPAs study so much about having proper controls and accountabilities but NASBA itself is going the route of no promises - no procedures/controls - no accountabilities when it comes to score releases. It's as though not putting things in writing exempted them from having any responsibilities to answer to us exam takers.
Michael, thanks for the great news! I never receive anything directly from NASBA. Checked my mailbox, nothing from Castle today. Let's hope for tomorrow. To be fair to Castle, I've had nothing short of the best experience with them so far. My contact at Castle actually reply to my emails almost instantaneous and I really appreciate that. Not sure what went wrong with REG this time.
CPA Seattle - I agree with you on Castle Worldwide. They are very responsive - it's just their policies prevent them from giving out any score release information. That's where my frustration lies. I got the email today and the rep from NASBA said a "few days". We can hope for tomorrow but I'm thinking Friday or Monday. I can provide you the NASBA contact I have if you want to find out if you're in wave 1.
Thanks for the offer Michael. At this point I think I'll just wait and see. I'm thinking if it's a 100% release for other states then surely I must be in wave 1 too. If not tomorrow, I'll rather it be Mon. Taking AUD this Sat, not sure I want to risk having bad news day before the exam.
Jeff - you might've seen a few Texas people post in the Wave 1 section about our scores being validated by the board. Do you know anything about this? This is my last exam and I haven't ever seen that on the other 3. It is usually received and ratified on the same day. It now says it is being 'validated'. Someone said they called the board and they said the scores usually never change. I guess they are just double checking? The board has nothing to do with actually grading our tests - correct?
The AICPA grades your exam, so you don't have to worry about that. After you pass your fourth part, your state may have some extra processing to do and a big packet to send you. I wouldn't worry about it.
Why do I feel after every exam that I failed the exam?
I took the FAR exam today. Every question had a twist to it.! There was no straight forward question. Most of the questions were not from the material I studied. Did anyone have the same experience?
yeah i took the FAR exam on the 14th and i found that too no qs were repeated from the cd.. infact i am comin to the conclusion that a thorough reading of the main text and the qs and the online sims are sufficient for us to clear the test.

jeff and others ,,, please , please, and please answer my question is it usual to receive your test report one day after they release your score??? i received my AUD score on the Wed 20th and i received the report on Thursday 21. the summery of the report were as follow; all 5 section of Mcqs over 78% , simulations strong , writing weak/// my score 73 ?/?/? i know that i did not have adequate answers for the two writing parts. i had two simple writing questions, but because i usually do the writing at the end test ( i could not do more ) NOW i have skepticism that i already pass the AUD exam but because of the two easy writing questions they failed my. take on consider that all 5 section of Mcqs over 78% , simulations strong , writing weak, AND I RECEIVED THE REPORT ONE DAY AFTER I RECEIVED MY SCORE // (never happen before) AUD is my last part so please, if you gays have different analyzation gust help me ps; do i have the Right to cope form the research tab to answer the writing question
hi, took the reg section today. Pretty tricky, could go either way. I used Becker and there were only a few questions on topics that it didn't cover. Sims were fair, research questions were impossible though, I couldn't find either of the two items in the literature. Please let this nightmare be over D

ANS (TX-REG) - I don't think they finished validating the scores (checking the scores and getting the performance reports) because of the holiday. "The Board receives scores from the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) in waves during and after each testing window. The Board validates each score before reporting it to the candidate. Score reports along with the performance reports are posted to the Board's website and may be viewed by the candidate." --from TSBPA
the fastest report has been received: The numerical grade that shows up on your diagnostic report isn't the percentage you got correct. The number doesn't really mean much unless you compare it to the average grades of those that passed the exam. For each MC testlet, does it say you are stronger or weaker than the other people that passed the AUD exam? Also, there are only 3 MC testlets in the AUD exam, and I don't know what you are saying in 75% of your post, so I am not surprised you scored weaker in the communication section. In addition, the communication is worth 10% of over your overall grade, so if you left those blank/inadequately answered, that's definitely going to hurt your overall score.
does the simulation has to do anything with multiple choice question? for example, if did well in muliple choice then i get harder simulation, if did bad on multiple chocie then i get easy simulation.. or they are totally unrelated? i happened to get the same question in testlet 1 and testlet 2... does that mean i did the question wrong in testlet 1 so the question appear again?thanks

Hello guys, i know this question was asked a million times before but i had to ask it. if AICPA kept my score for wave 2 does this mean my score is borderline.....?? I had a weird FAR exam, took it on april 4, most of the MCQs were not covered by my review course although i've reviewed them all. So I have no idea how I did. I finally received my score in WA this morning for REG taken May 1.
I took audit in Texas on May 2 and called this morning to ask about not receiving my score yet. They told me that they are still receiving audit scores. By "receiving" I think they mean that they are processing AUD scores...the AICPA hasn't released any more scores and I've been told that they won't again until Wave 2. It's possible your state BOA is just delayed in getting scores out since they process them independently. So, in theory you could still get your AUD score before Wave 2...but it's really just a delayed Wave 1 score.

I hear you on the REG research questions, though I found the sims pretty difficult, not very similar to the sims in my Bisk review materials. I thought the first research element was pretty simple, I found it, no problem, and was 100% sure it was the right answer. The second one, though, forget it. It had to do with something completely ridiculous and minor that must have been buried deep within the Code. It would be nice if they gave you something reasonable that you might actually have to research as a practicing accountant. I wasted 15 minutes looking for the damned thing. It's a good thing this was the last tab of the 2nd sim - otherwise I would have had to just punt on it entirely.
Arkansas only mails the scores, and I haven't received my REG scores yet. Any idea on when they might put it in mail? Is there any other way to find my score? Can't wait.... Thanks Jeff, for the website.
Taking BEC tomorrow, hoping to close out a productive window with a bang. In mid-June, hopefully I will know that I'll be 50% of the way through this nightmare. How does BEC usually flow, time-wise? Did you guys find that you were pressed for time, or was it pretty loose? I'm just praying they don't sock me with a bunch of massive OH variance questions or sprawling WACC questions. Looking ahead, how much time would you suggest in studying for AUD and FAR? Of course, this is assuming I pass BEC. I'm hoping to take them in the same window some time down the road as I am doing with REG and BEC. To this point, I haven't touched any of the AUD or FAR material.
took BEC yesterday.. didnt even open the book.. definitely failed.. back to the books until July 1st.. yay :(
Patrick, I found BEC to flow pretty well...2.5 hours is "just right". I also tend to be a slow exam taker...didn't finish my 2nd sim on FAR. For AUD...study maybe 60-70 hours. Double that for FAR...everyone is different though. When I passed, I studied about 30-40 hours for AUD and around 100 hours for FAR...but I ran out of time and skipped NFP (and still passed, amazingly). Jeff
Finally got couple replies from OH-Coordinator. His answers still bit confusing but I want to share with you guys. I asked if there will be another AUD score release this week or next week. Here are his answers. ?We receive scores from the AICPA in two "waves." The first wave is received during the second month of the testing window, usually around the middle of the month and the second wave is received mid way through the non-testing month. Since the AICPA grades completely at random, we have no way of knowing which wave a candidate's score will arrive in - even if the candidate tested at the very beginning of the testing window. I believe we have already received all of the AUD scores for the first wave, so it is likely your AUD score will not be transmitted to us until the middle of June.? I told him I have talked to NASBA representative and rep said that there will be another Audit score release at the end of this week or next week as part of the first wave for the state of Ohio. Here is his reply to my second email. ?I only said I believe we have received all AUD scores, there is still a chance we will receive a few more stragglers but I have not yet received confirmation of this.? So... what do you guys think?
Wave 1 scores are done...someone higher than a NASBA CSR told me so.
It appears to me that most candidates feel after the exam that they failed the exam and have a surprise when the results are released. After my last exam I was sure I didn?t pass but to my surprise I got an 89.
Jeff! After a month and a half of waiting, I received my final score today- 93 on REG. Now I'm done with the exam! Thanks so much for all your tips and motivation! Keep up the good work! :)
I got a similar reply from CA-rep. I took FAR on 4/11 and have not yet received the scores :( I have finally given up any hopes of receiving the scores in Wave 1. I think I will get my BEC scores before FAR :)

Hey Jeff, i'm about to schedule my exam for the July/August Wave 1 testing window...do you know if the cut-off date the 7 day of the second month for the 1st wave...for instance August 7.
Can you recieve partial credit for a research question? There are many times where you are on the right section but it might not be exactly the right sub-paragraph. Is this an all or nothing part?

Good question Krista... The AICPA releases to everyone...there is no AICPA "state" so to speak. Some states like CA/IL/VA/TX handle their own score releases...some of them are fast...some are slow. NASBA handles everyone else. The best way to know is to go to NASBA.org and click on CPA Exam...find your state...click on "score"...if there is a place to enter your ID and date of birth...you're a NASBA state. If there's no big white space on the right side of your page where your score will show up...like here... https://www.another71.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/score.jpg you're not a NASBA state. California is fast...states like Mississippi (scores sent via snail mail) are usually last...NASBA is in the middle. Hope that helps, Jeff

So I'm expecting my grade to come out with Wave 2 being that I took REG back on the May 15th. It was my first CPA exam experience and let me say, I am not a fan of Prometric sites. I just wasn't happy that I couldn't relate to anyone else in the room taking exams. Thats ok though, no worries. I'm kind of dissapointed with how I think I did. On my practice exams I was fine on time, having usually about 30 minutes left over. I never went back to double check answers. But then on the actual exam I though to myself "Well, this is the real deal, your gonna wanna double check your answers" Doing that, I kind of screwed myself over. Finishing up section 3 I looked at my clock and realized I had less than an hour for the last 2 simulations. I had to rush through the first one, skipping two questions in one of the tabs, and rush through the second. Dissapointed - Yes, but still, after reading this site and hearing everyones stories I understand....people fail....they study again....they take it again....they pass. Its gonna be anoying, but not the end of the world........
@ Nate the Great, I too had the same trouble as you on REG. I took my exam on April 3. I ran out of time and only was able to do one problem (the research question) on the second simulation, so I left the rest blank. I just received my score on Memorial Day and got a 92. I thought I did terrible on the first simulation as well, so don't count yourself out.
HELP!!! Jeff, I sat for REG this morning at 8am. After I finished all three multiple choice sections, the computer came up with an error and I couldn't access the simulations. The message told me to contact the administrator (Prometric). The same thing happened to 4 other CPA Exam test takers. We waited for over 4 hours in the lobby for them to finally tell us they don't know what's wrong and we need to go home and reschedule our exams!! This can't be right. What should I do? Who do I need to contact?
Future TX CPA, The long and short of it is that you're out of luck - you will have to take those 3 testlets over. e-mail cpaexam@nasba.org and give them your section ID...they'll review the computer log and let you reschedule for free. I know it sucks, but that's your only option...I don't think they're going to let you go back and just sit for the sims.
Just an FYI - I would look over the recently released AICPA questions..never know if something might show up!
Hello everyone, I live in California and CA requires for the CPA candidates to pass the Ethics exam. I am still waiting for AUD score (my last section) but thought in the mean time I can take the Ethics exam since it is good for two years. Hi Aaron, I don't think so. I believe only a handful states require this... Unfortunately, CA is one of the requiring state :-)

@AR-REG ~ I am in Arkansas also, and I just received my wave 1 FAR scores yesterday (5/27). I got my wave 1 BEC score last Saturday (5/23). Since it looks like REG was released last by the AICPA, sit tight for a few days. You may still get it soon.
CO is a NASBA state...they've released already...you're wave 2, unfortunately...Wave 1 is complete.
AR-REG, also, if you get impatient, you can contact the ASBPA. If you decide to do that, I would recommend calling them, as my emails to them have gone unanswered.

woah! what are you guys gettin so worked up with? there's no cheatin in it people... and FYI 2 of my friends did get the same sims appearing from diff states but reg with same board... thats why i wanted to confirm.. friggin noobs....
It may not be cheating but .... how can you know what sims your friends had if you didnt talk about the test after you took it? IMO this type of information should stay off the record.

My best advice would be to pace yourself on the BEC exam and watch the clock like a hawk. You have 150 minutes - that's 50 x 3 - and all 3 parts are the same difficulty level. So give yourself a few minutes leeway, plan to be halfway through each section in 23 minutes, and plan to complete each section in about 46 minutes.

I sat for AUD on april 1, and haven't received my socre. I emialed the board (CA) and they said" NASBA began releasing scores on May 15, 2009. Scores are released randomly and daily, so please continue to check your online Client Account daily to verify if your score has been release." it is confused! Based on my understanding, wave 1 is complete, and I have to wait until wave 2. Why the board is saying they continue to release score daily?
wave 2 pass CA - you probably got a generic response. I sat for AUD in NY on 4/7 and I won't get my score until the 2nd wave.

wave 2 pass CA - I too got the same response from CA for FARE. But today I got another response - NASBA releases exam scores in random order and only about 10% of the scores are released in the first wave. The remaining scores are released in the second wave. All advisory scores should be released by the end of June. So its confirmed that we are all Wave 2.
Swait, I am sure we will have to wait until the 2nd wave.
FAR taken 4/29 was posted at 10 PM on Thursday night. I can officially say I am done taking CPA exams. Finally I paid for the testing centers computers. 1.5 years later I am done. BEC; 79 Aud; 74, 79 REG; 71, 80 FAR; 56, 71, 82 All but the last with the most commercial review course and the 82 with Jeff's favored review software, book, and CRAM software. Hats off to them. Thank you for the help Jeff and the motivation from all! Keep reading, keep studying! I know everyone says if I can do it anyone can. I don't know if anyone can pass the CPA exam, but with dedication, long hours at the library, and a little luck from above it is possible. Take care, Dan soon to be from New Jersey
Jeff the site is great! After a year I am done. I received (by US mail - DC) my FAR score. Remember, put in the study time and you will pass.
Please HELP Jeff or anyone that has had errors while taking the exam, I took AUD yesterday and I had 2 errors while taking the exam. If I did poorly on the exam because of this, would they allow me to retake the exam? Has anyone had this problem and called NASBA? If so, what did NASBA say?
AUD (TX) What do you mean by errors? And how did you know that you did poorly? If this is an incident, like fire alarm going off or network failure, you should report it at candidatecare@nasba.org or call the number in the bulletin. I dont think retaking the exam (for free - i guess) is an option. But if you are sure you did poorly, just wait for your result and you can retake it.
AUD(TX) if the "errors" you experienced won't make or break you on passing your exam, you will just have to live with them. If they probably caused you to fail - like you lost 30 minutes of testing time or something...NASBA will let you sit again for free. Your options are either live with it, or sit again and not know your score from the exam you just took. -jeff

OH, AUD, Yes, Wisco is a NASBA state, but they don't post any scores until they all are in for that wave.....I took BEC on 4/18 and they finally posted it today. I think we're one of the last states to receive our scores....I'm not sure if AUD, FARE, or REG have been posted for wave 1 in Wisco, but I just assumed. Good luck!
That sounds like each NASBA state has its own way to do it(?). I am just sick and tired of waiting. Weird thing is that I have talked to few people in OH who took AUD during 1st wave period and nobody's AUD score was released yet. So far, I have seen only one post saying he got the AUD score from OH. I feel like something is wrong wiht OH...
so I got my failing Audit notice back today. I've made my peace and scheduled to take it again, however the back gave me a peculiar feeling. Where it breaks down your performance, this is how mine stacked up. Planning (22-28%) my performance 88, passing performance 81 Int. Contr. (12-18%) my performance 82, passing performance 79 Information (32-38%) my performance 75, passing performance 81 Review (8-12%) my performance 81, passing performance 80 Communications (12-18%) my performance 66, passing performance 81 I ran some calculations and in all of them I should have passed using my scores and the passing performance as a 75, unless the the two sections I did poorly in were waited at the top of their range. Has anyone ever come across a similar situation where they don't feel like they should have failed and did anyone ever take any steps to research it more?

Hi guys, I am a newcomer to this website. I read all of you posts and like it very much. I took my AUD on 4/21/2009 in CA. I didn't receive my result yet. Is something wrong with Auditing Gradign process on NASBA end? I rarely see posts related to result of AUD.
Dave above - The same thing happened to me. I got a 73, run the numbers and got a 76. I tninking if one fails one section one will automaticaly fail the entire exam.
I'm waiting for my audit score in Ohio too. It sucks and looks like we'll be waiting a couple more weeks. :(

I have taken 4 exams. REG was my last one I took on 5/29. I felt REG is the hardest among the 4. 80% of calculations on MCQ. Tricks in the no calculations questions that I always seems hard to chose between 2 good answers. But writing topics seems easy for me that I can write quickly. Also I really believe there are a few FAR questions - luckily I have studied first. The order for me from hardest to easiest is REG, FAR, BEC, AUD. BTW, I passed FAR and BEC on my first try with above 80 scores. Still waiting for AUD and REG. Confident on AUD but wondering my REG.
Its weird. Unless the passing scores are then set as 75 as the curve, then I should have passed even if they weight the areas I did the poorest on more heavily. I know they put a disclaimer on the back but I just don't see how I could have failed the exam with the scores I got per section. Jeff or anyone else ever called NASBA and asked for an explanation on this? I wish I didn't get this thing back so I could just be thinking about the next time I'm taking the exam instead of this past one.
So I just took Audit today, and I ended up leaving early from the exam...2 hours early! Can someone tell me if this has happened to them? I'm getting worried, I thought it was easy, but 2 hours early? HELP!

Dave, I think the communication part is extremely important, and you did poorly in that section. The AICPA wants to make sure they have literate CPA's and scoring a 66 on the communication section probably really hurt your overall score. Just my honest opinion. Good luck next time!
Xavier, I took Audit on 5/21 and also finished 2 hours early. From talking to different people, I think most people finish early and do fine. I was/still kind of am nervous about it too.

Dave Above, My friend got a 74 on FAR. All the sections he scored between 85-80, except for GOV he got a 60. I think AICPA saw the 60 and failed him? Is there a rule if one fails one subject, the person automatically fails?
Jeff, just wanted to say thanks for recommending Yaeger review for REG to me - I took the test today for the second time today (got a 63 the first time). I felt 110% more prepared with Yaeger under my belt than just studying with books & questions!! Phil is a great teacher, I have to say... Will let you know if I passed in mid-June.

I took Audit on May 26th. I thought it was easy as well and finish the exam about 40 minutes early. It felt weird, but I feel a little better now that I hear the same situation on others. This was the second time taking audit for me. I hope I pass on this one.

I never used the research function for the written coms, but you are allowed to do so.
Dave - I never put much weight in those score reports. I don't think they add up mathematically, so I would just use it to tell you what you were weaker on relative to everything else and hit that area extra hard the next time. Even after my two 74s, I didn't appeal...I looked into it, but it's not worth it...it's best just to use a cram product and sit again.

Essays I think the goal according to Yaeger (and others) is to be brief, concise, clear, and to the point. One should only use 3 or 4 well thought of sentences. Always be aware of who your memo is addressed to.
Hello everyone, I am new to this website. I took my BEC exam a couple of days ago, and I don't know how I ran out of time. I didn't read about 7 questions but just took guesses on them. I thought I did fine on the other questions. I don't know if's it ok for me to think that I have a chance on passing, What do you think?
Dave I agree with Jeff. You can't base your score off of the diagnostic score report that they give you.......i think it is just used as a general guide. This was my score report for REG that I just got back last week and I passed with a 79. I was even weaker in written communication and still passed. The report doesn't really reflect true performance in my mind. @ Wheeee CA - I thought AUD was the easiest, but I am an auditor. I think the main difference in AUD and the rest is that there's less material to learn, but the questions are trickier. @ Xavier - I was finished with AUD rather quickly as well and passed with an 87. But like I said, I am an auditor (have been for almost 4 years). I have heard others here say that they feel NASBA gives too much time for AUD in relation to the other sections.
Does anyone know if it means that you have not passed if it takes longer to get your scores?
Anonymous....they don't give a "score report" when you pass.....did you make up your score and give a real score report for a failing grade?

Don't know how in the world they came up with an 83! With AUD, felt pretty confident and barely passed. You just never know with these tests. Just took REG and I feel very confident with both sims but iffy with the MCQ. Hope I passed!
Jen and Izabella, some states DO give score reports for passing grades.
Jen & Lzabella - contrary to the general belief, I think few states do give the details for passing grade. I found out from another forum that CA gives details even when you passed. In my state, we get breakdowns only when you got wounded on the CPA exam battlefield.

In CA we receive score reports whether you pass or fail
Jeff, I sat for BEC last Sunday and did terrible. This will be the sixth time I failed this exam (74 x 2, 73 x 2, & a 69). I have past all other parts (FAR 79, Aud 95 & 94, and FAR 90). But I'm going to lose credit again, this time for FAR in December. Becker CD ROM worked for the other 3, but continues to fail me for BEC. I feel like everytime I sit, the questions are not a good representation of what I practiced with Becker. What's Yaeger all about, or do you recommend any other products for BEC and what is the "cram" version?

Do you guys know how long it takes to get your score report. A couple of people wrote that they don't give you a score report if you pass. I failed but it's been 3 weeks and I haven't received any score reports.

It seems like quite a number of people took AUD this time around and completed the exam in such a short amount of time. I took AUD on 5/20/09 and used up all the time allotted for the section. I did not feel rush like all the other sections but I used up the time. I felt the exam was tricky and it helped I did not frequently have to use the calculator (which took a lot of my time in REG and FAR). I wonder if the passing score (the way the %'s are weighted) will be a lot higher for AUD since so many people did so well (indication by people felt great and left the test center early)?

"Becker CD ROM worked for the other 3, but continues to fail me for BEC." NY AL - If you have failed to pass a section multiple times using any one review course, it's time to try a different one. Continuing to use the same review course again and again, hoping it will work this time, is kind of like watching the same feature film over and over and hoping the ending will change.
I'm studying FAR with the becker materials, but i was thinking on using the Gleim prep-test cd-room as a supplement. did anyone do that for any of the sections? If so, did you have to finish the whole book before you could start answering the question. (e.i. Becker multiple choice questions follow the format of their books, did Gleim follow the same format or a different format).
RP- I've used the Gleim prep-test CD rom, and also the Exam Matrix materials. Personally, I liked Exam Matrix better because it suited the way I study better. Both programs allow you to take MCQs from selected study areas, or a random MCQ test across all areas. Results? I could never get over the 71-74 hump with Gleim, but I passed REG, FAR & BEC first time using Exam Matrix.
I took AUD 4/14/09, and have not heard anything regarding results. Im in GA. I know we can check online through NASBA, but should I have received something via email or regular mail before now regarding scoring?

agree with -CC. I also finished most part of AUD in around 2 and half hours, and just sat there and thought about the final writing, which took me another 2 hours to finish, because I have no idea about this writing.
I finished Audit really early also, like in 2 hours. I took the test and like 15 mc questions were identical to practice questions in my materials. The written communications were on very easy topics in my opinion and the rest of the sims weren't that difficult. This was my third test (I already took REG and BEC) and I felt very nervous about it compared to the other 2. I walked out knowing I passed. I got an 83, my highest score yet. I guess it goes to show that there is some luck involved in which questions you get on the CPA.
Wow, congrats Biff! The communication parts of the AUD exam for me were sort of very odd... Never thought that they would be that touchy/feely... People told me that if you can ace the communication on AUD then you will pass that section. Knowing I got off the wall topics in AUD, I am unsure how they will be graded...
ok - I tried a new plugin for enhanced comments, but it messed things up. I am trying something new though and that's "nested" comments 10 comments deep, so if one person says "BEC out in CA" - the next person from CA can respond to that post instead of saying "hey - person from CA - when did you sit? I had a similar thing on REG. It has been awhile, but I got something like an 85 a couple 82's and then a 74 and 70. I ended up with a score of 74. I ended up paying the fee to have them rescore it, but what a surprise I ended up with the same score. I know some people say it isn't based on a curve, but it has to be.
Khumba - I took FAR back in Feb and left the 2nd simulation almost completely blank because I ran out of time. I was devastated, but somehow I ended up with a 91. I don't know how that happened, but I'll take it!! Seriously, don't even try to gauge your scores. I felt I bombed REG and ended up with a 91 as well, and felt just OK about AUD and got a 99. I was baffled at every score! I just took BEC last Wed and felt OK, but only time will tell. Best of luck! ;o)
hehehe yeah all cool... you know when i get back to India and after passing the Chartered Accountancy exams me too gonna start this thing like yours! it's superbly helpful to 1000s of students... can't get better
I have passed three sections using Gleim and I am waiting on my last section. I liked Gleim's test-prep software. You can create test sessions that are like the real testing environment, or you can create study sessions that tell you why the answer you selected is right or wrong. You can select which topics you want to work on and then the software will pick questions randomly. You can also customize how many questions you do in the session and the amount of time you have to finish them. All in all, I like it. It has all the functionality I could want and it was easy to use. I don't know about Becker or Exam Matrix (see next post).
I am planning to buy Gleim CD Those who used Becker with Gleim, just want to make sure, haven't expereienced any software problems with the 2 software together.
I've used both Becker and Gleim on the same computer and didn't have any problems.
Took AUD April 29 and REG May 31. As with many, I am very nervous and trying to gauge how I did. AUD vs REG vs FAR: I was depressed and angry after I took FAR. I was not able to finish the last simulation. I ended up getting an 80 or 82. Based on that, I feel more confident about my AUD and REG scores. However, I get a feeling that the FAR scores are adjusted a lot more than AUD and REG. The 'curve' for difficult questions is a lot more for FAR. Does anyone have the same thoughts after comparing how they felt and how they did between the three? AUD: Had plenty of time. Was even able to look up answers in research part of the simulations for the other tabs. REG: Do not feel as confident, but more confident than I did with FAR. I remembered approximately 60 MC questions in the exam and got about 75% of them right. I have know idea what that amounts to.
I took Audit April 4th in Ohio and have not got my score back, but I got my Reg Results back from the test I took on May 8th. Passed Reg, now I just need my Audit score to pass and I am done, but I hate waiting this long. FAR - 86 BEC - 88 REG - 84 AUD - ?? :(
Jeff---(or anyone else who may want to chime in) Based on prior test, it seems as thought the research portion of the simulations is 'free' point. When I took FAR this past Friday, however, I had issues with both research tabs. I pretty sure about one; however the other I was getting pressed for time and wanted to make sure I had a semi-correct answer. Do the answers have to follow the GAAP authoritative hierarchy? The one I chose was not the most authoritative, but it did answer what the question asked. I know this is not a huge issues, but I just don't want it weighing on my mind...thanks in advance!!

Sat for FAR on 4/20 in MD......the waiting is torture and does not make sense that it has taken so long.....other parts I have gotten in under 30 days. On a brighter note - if anyone is near Dallas, NYC or Atlanta - the Becker "final review" is worth the time and effort, as is the CRAM from Yeager.......
Thank you - I guess i got lucky with my first two parts (FAR & AUD) where I got results in 3 weeks or less... The torture is terrible. Even though I know the predictions on the timing, I will probably be checking NASBA every AM.

As a rule of thumb - if Yaeger skips it - skip it...that's the benefit of the DVDs...you can focus on what they think will be on the exam. I passed REG and FAR with their HomeStudy - so I know it works. Guys like me don't score a 92 - so have faith in the REG course. You won't even need to read the Wiley book for B. Law...use the handout and only the handout...that's what I did. You should do well with Yaeger REG. -Jeff

Do any of you from NY know if we have to take the "Ethics" test. I know it's only required in a few states. I've been searching the NASBA website for info and didn't find anything. Can I safely assume that an Ethics exam isn't required in NY?
Sherriaf, I don't have an opinion on them...I used Yaeger for REG and passed with a 92...that's all that I can tell you. Good luck with REG...it's a beast.
Your best course of action is to contact the NY BOA directly I think...you're going to be licensed under them...

I have the NASBA score page bookmarked with my section ID and birthday in my iPhone. Not only do I waste a great deal of time checking for scores from work, I check them in my car, when I get in bed at night, in the middle of the night (several times), and when I wake up first thing in the morning?.and so on. Keep in mind, that I KNOW, without a doubt, there isn't going to be a score there...but what if something happened and it comes out early? It is more likely to come out late, so this makes it even more stupid. I am a completely rational person, but this exam is making me crazy! And this iPhone is enabling my insane behavior.
I agree - I struggled to finish BEC, had one really long calc left as the last one in third testlet..I knew how to work the problem but I timed out. I hear of so many people finishing so fast, like in 45 minutes. I had more calculations in the BEC MC than FAR MC.
There's no need to do all that quite yet. You can just bookmark this page and check HERE 23 times a day for Jeff to report that the AICPA has released scores to NASBA. THEN you can start paging the NASBA page every 7.5 minutes. :) (Besides, it's a lot more fun to read the insanity from the rest of us while you're waiting.)

Finishing AUD 1-2 hours early seems to be the norm...some people take the full time...the Prometric lady told me she's only seen 2 people take the full time for AUD. I'm a slow test taker and I took my sweet time on AUD and still finished 30 min early - which bothered me so I asked her about it. No worries...
I finished BEC, REG and AUD early except for FAR. I did not have enough time to finish spelling check for the second writing question. I though the research questions were piece of cake. I did not feel bad after the exam, but since the exam score has not been released, I become a bit anxious. Weird!
I used BECKER and thought it was a very good tool. I have not tried any other materials. BEC was easy, but FAR was horrible. I spent more than three months to prepare for the FAR section. Hope I can pass that crap.
Jeff, You got me beat. I used Becker and score an 89 on REG. After the exam I felt really bad, but I was very happy when I finally saw my score report. I was suprised that I got an 89. Now if I do not pass FAR, I would be suprised. I will be very anxiously waiting for the exam report for another two weeks or so.
Hey hi all... I have cleared my BEC, REG and AUD in the Wave 1 results and am awaiting for the FAR in Wave 2 anxiously... I too used the Becker Materials and found the REG paper damn tough but to my surprise i cleared the exam... Thanks to the Becker material... And I could complete AUD in less than 2 hours time and scored 82... I am extremely happy with my performance in AUD.... Tons and Tons of best wishes to all awaiting results with me and those who have already passed all... Count down for FAR begins......
For what it means, when I took Audit, I used all the time, but I had about 3 hours left when I began the 1st Sim. I took my time and researched every question just to be positive I was right and I took a long time on each communication. I figured, they give you the time, might as well take advantage of it. I scored an 88.
Geez....still another 2 weeks for audit.

The extent of my calculations required was not that severe, but a few of them did make me stop and think.
I hate waiting. I took REG 2 days after the wave 1/wave 2 cutoff so I've been waiting almost a month already. I'm surprised that I've managed to go days without checking for a score. When I took BEC I was checking all the time even though I knew it wouldn't be up yet, so I'm surprised I'm actually able to be a bit patient this time. I think that is because I'm pretty certain I failed, and I've accepted that already. Oh well, a couple more weeks.
Hi: It is my first time to appear for CPA exam and I appeared for BEC exam., on May 18, 2009. On AUD I used every last second. BEC in about an hour. FAR until the end and REG an hour early. Passed AUD and BEC in the 90s. Still waiting to hear on FAR and REG.
i am currently waiting for my FAR score (took the part 5/30). i have been using Gleim as my study materials and i passed AUD and REG already. however, i have been struggling with BEC big time and was thinking about switching to Yaeger. does anyone know how long the study at home lectures are?
Does anyone know if you can take the ethics exam in Ohio before you've passed all the sections? I'm waiting on my REG score and it's my last one. I was hoping to go ahead and finish the ethics exam and get it out of the way.

Ann - Friday August 7 should be the cutoff, but you're still not guaranteed to be Wave 1...which I'm sure you know. -Jeff
Does REG and FAR have about the same number of calculations on MC questions or is one more weighted than another in that area?

AO, you are in Wave 2, you probably had a new simulation or something. I know it's hard, but you should try to focus on the other parts if AUD is not the last one. I'm sure you did fine.
I took AUD on 04/23 in Georgia and am waiting for my score too - anyone in Georgia receive theirs yet? I am getting neurotic waiting. Any thoughts?

To whoever asked about Yaeger BEC; it is divided into 6 DVDs, about 22 hours total lecture. That's the full program, not the cram. Hope this helps.
I contacted Yaeger because my vintage laptop does not have a DVD drive. They said their programs are also available on a USB thumb drive. Very nice.

I took my AUD exam on April 11th and didn't get my scores in the first wave. does that really mean I am on the border line of either passing or failing - or that does not have anything to do with it?
Sherriaf, Where did you hear that rumor? I would love to know if it is true. I failed FAR in Jan, that was my very first Test. AUD was my second and I really need a pass. I retake FAR on July 11th.

NASBA mails the exam results. At least, my reports came in an envelope that was mailed from NASBA.

Papu, That would be great, but I would not hold my breath. Jeff has better contacts at AICPA and experience when doing his predictions. With my personal experience dealing with NASBA, I would believe Jeff or NASBA anyday.

They're just guessing...I said the AICPA would release (late) next week also...Friday or Saturday...I went with Saturday. It will only be BEC that's released next week...pretty confident of that one. They don't know for sure until the AICPA actually releases them and even then, I get e-mails from someone who knows more than someone in the call center :)
I am waiting for my results for BEC - I am counting the days I have never been so anxious to get a test result in my life. When I pass I will be free - all four done and over after over 2 years of sacrifice. I still check the BOA for the scores even though I KNOW they are not there but it makes me feel a little better. I studied with Yeager all the way and it is thanks to them I got through FAR!
Well, I am going on a (very long) Road Trip tomorrow, and I will have an opportunity to buy the Wiley REG book at a retail bookstore while I am out of town. The local Barnes & Noble stocks the other 3 Wiley books, but doesn't normally carry REG. Go figure. I took REG two weeks ago (was it only two weeks???). I might have passed. Then again, I might have failed. My debate is whether to buy the Wiley REG book at the retail price tomorrow from the out-of-town Barnes & Noble - and have my hands on it immediately - knowing that (if I passed REG) I could easily return the book to the local Barnes & Noble. Or should I instead wait two more weeks for the REG scores to post and then (if I failed) order the book from Amazon at a discount - and wait another 5 to 7 days after then for delivery? It's post-exam jitters and craziness.
Nan - do the latter...no need to buy a book unnecessarily...no need to study unnecessarily...if you fail...you won't feel like studying for a week anyway and you saved yourself $20 to spend on something that will make you feel better about failing :)
Yeah.... but if I failed I have to jump immediately back in to study mode so that I can have enough time to prepare for a successful re-take by the end of July and (hopefully) be in Wave 1 next time. I hate not having enough information to make a decent plan.

I would wait until you know you failed before you buy something else; you probably passed :) If you have to study, then I would do nothing more than maybe start glancing through your weaker areas using whatever materials you have. I thought I might have failed FAR and started "re-studying". Ended up passing, so my time would have been better spent studying for my next section.
True. Since I've passed the other 3 sections I suppose I could always spend the next two weeks working on my resume. Or catching up on more of the housecleaning I put off during the last 5 months. It just doesn't feel "real" yet though. I passed the other 3 comfortably, but my date with REG was pretty rough.

Sorry, nothing splashy here. I work for a small firm, a government contractor who is a CPA with an inactive license. The owner is completing his current contracts and retiring. A new contractor who is not a CPA has opened another office nearby to take care of current and future projects. My objective is to complete the CPA exams and start working elsewhere to get the work experience necessary for my license without taking too deep of a pay cut. My boss and I are looking at options.

Why does the wave 2 score release come out a week later than the wave 1? For example, wave 1 ends around the 7th of the month and BEC comes out one week later (in Illinois it is usually the Saturday of the same week or the following Monday). However, according to Jeff's prediction for wave 2, BEC will not come out for another week, when (timing wise) they should start filtering out this week. Why do they need two weeks after the end of the month to start releasing instead of just one like wave 1? Any reasons for this?

No problem :) I just took BEC 5/30/09 using it. There were maybe 3-4 questions out of left field I was unfamiliar with. Some others I had trouble deciding between two, and then I ran out of time on the last couple of questions. Yaeger BEC was great preparation. If I don't pass, it won't be because of their program. I took it about 4 weeks after FAR and I was exhausted from studying, and then I'm not a fast test taker. I did pass FAR the first time using Yaeger with and 85:) So hopefully BEC results will be ok.
Did anyone else thing that FAR was really easy this past window? I studied my butt off for it and didn't have much of a problem and so just thought I felt that way because of hard work. However I've heard that a lot of other people thought it was fairly easy too.....any thoughts?
Tom - I took FAR in Wave 2 and I thought the exam was pretty tough... I'm hoping I did well enough to pull off a passing score but we'll see. GOOD LUCK!!

My scores from wave 1 are not available on NASBA's website anymore. Could this mean NASBA is updating and we may get wave 2 scores sooner than predicted? I'm waiting on BEC.
False alarm. It just means NASBA is doing a routine computer system refresh. We'll know (through Jeff - TYVM Jeff) when AICPA releases the scores to NASBA. NASBA can't post any scores until after the AICPA does its bit.

I was able to recall approximately 60 M/C questions for REG. - 43 almost positive right - 17 almost positive wrong - 12 don't remember From my sample size that I remember that puts me at 71.67% of the MC right before difficulty rating. If I give all the questions the same difficulty rating and apply the 71.67% to the multiple choice as a whole I have a score of 50 before difficulty weight and simulations. How should I feel?
I took REG on 5/26/09...BOTH of my simulations were centered around the SAME topic, which was NOT the topic of even one of the practice simulations provided by Becker! AHH!! I'll likely be taking this one again... :(
Andrea I also took REG at the end of May and both of my sims were on the same topic - neither of which was covered in my review materials - VERY FRUSTRATING considering this was my last one and if I don't pass I will have to take it and Audit again.
For everyone that took FAR, I'm studying for FAR and F2 (from the Becker book) seems a little more difficult than I expected, did anyone felt the same way? I heard some people said that once you get to F5, F-2 will be easier. my plan was to spend a little more time reviewing F2 or move Forward hoping that F5 will help. Did anyone thought F5 helped them better understand F2, or did you just spent more time in f2 reviewing before moving forward?
Using Becker I prepped FAR differently than the other exams. I watched all the F1 to F7 (GAAP) sections together, then I did all the F1 to F7 MCQs and sims together. After that I tackled F8 and F9 (governmental) together as a set. That approach got me past the inter-relationships of GAAP accounting.
'Is the simulation on tax only?' Correct. I think it's theoretically possible for them to give a law simulation but I don't know of anybody getting one before. I'm sure Jeff could confirm that for you though. You can't leave anything out, the questions cover all the areas of law and tax. D

Contrary to appearance that simulation is not FAR material at all, although it is similar to a FAR topic. I got my hands on a current WIley REG book and sure enough - there it was - in detail exactly like the sim question. I also looked up the question in a Bisk REG book and got nowhere. BISK covered that topic more briefly than Becker did.
And for anyone remembering what I wrote last Friday.... I went ahead and bought the Wiley REG book while I was on my road trip. Barnes & Noble e-mailed me a member discount coupon for in-store use, and it was burning a hole in my pocket. So I actually got the book for only about $5 more than Amazon's current price. BTW, did you know that the Barnes & Noble member price for on-line purchase of the individual Wiley books is even lower than the Amazon price?
Both of the sims I had for REG were way out there. Becker did not prepare me for either one of them. I felt really good about the exam until I got to the sims - finished the first three testlets with more than 2 hours to spare. I left feeling completely destroyed. Who knows... was 100% sure I failed BEC, and somehow I made a 75. My BEC score, by the way, appeared at exactly 2am on exactly the day Jeff predicted. I know this because it wasn't there at 1:50 when I woke up and checked the first time :).
RP, I got confused when I read the material. It is OK to move on with confusion. I broke down the material into two parts, F1 through F7 and F8 through F9. I read the first 7 chapters twice BEFORE doing some MCQS, then briefly read the third time before practicing the simulations. I did not read much for the last two chapters but did lots of practice questions. It took me 1.5 months to prepare for the exam and I got 90. AUD - unknown (5/18/09) REG - 78 (4/8/09) FARE - 90 (2/7/09) BEC - 87 (10/18/08)
Becker is NOT that good for REG as the rest of three.

Becker REG is fine. But I wish I had practiced twice on some questions because I forgot the answers. Later I found out some sim questions on exam are so similar. Still waiting the result.
Becker REG works just fine. I passed REG with an 81 using only Becker.
Becker's coverage for REG was certainly enough to get a passing score, but there's no way I could have gotten a 99 on REG using Becker alone. The sims had material that Becker did not cover; I was so upset leaving Prometric that I went straight for my Becker book when I left to check. As to whether I succeeded in passing, I'll know in about 10 days.
I would not suggest buying the Wiley Regulation book. I've used it twice and failed twice. (67, 72). I've used Becker for all other sections and faired well. Wiley gives you TOO MUCH detailed information to digest in my opinion. Becker won't get you a 99 but it will get you passing grade.
Wiley makes a very solid book in my opinion. Use the Yaeger lectures to navigate the Wiley REG book and weed out the extra...scored a 92 on REG that way.
Absolutely, I suggested Wiley or other material on the top of the Becker review for REG. I used Wiley Cram with in the last week of my exam for all 3 parts. Passed REG and waiting for BEC & Audit.
Based on my experience I don't think one review program covers EVERYTHING, but at the same time, every exam is different so you need to have a good understanding of as much as possible for each section of the exam. For those who get stuff they haven't seen, it's just majorly unfortunate. I honestly don't think it's possible to know all the stuff so you just have to hope you get the stuff you know. There is so much uncertainty with this exam. I'm using CPAexcel b/c it breaks things down into very small chunks which works best for me. I suplemented with Wiley problems (did not complete all of them for REG) but I did come across a few things in the wiley problems that I did not see in CPAexcel so I would recommend using a main review system and then doing some problems from another program just to cover your bases. I ended up with an 83 in REG and am waiting on my BEC score. I also do believe you need to invest in a good review program if your going to tackle this beast! Just my "2"cents.

Just as an FYI. My AUD score, taken on 4/2/09 and received Adv. score during Wave 1, just became official (i.e., non-advisory) today. Not sure if that means anything in terms of score release timelines for wave 2. Its nice to see that I have credit for three tests now. Hopefully 7 days until we hear about REG!
I prepared for REG using only the Wiley book with no classes or any other aid. I got an 84. I guess it just depends what works for you.
Does anyone know how long it takes to complete the FAR Yaegar Cram? I'm retaking FAR on July 1 (made a 70 on my first attempt on May 1st) and started studying again for it today. Just wanted to determine if I had enough time to go through the Becker material again and the Yaegar Cram. Also, I took REG on May 30...so I'm anxiously waiting for my score too.
The Yaeger FAR cram is 15-20 hours somewhere in that ballpark. I would allow more time than that to do all of the MCQs they assign you - don't skimp on those questions.

NY Candidate- It is my understanding that we do not need to take an ethics portion here in the Empire State. This is from reserach on the professions website, post boards, and the NYS Society of CPA's. Never actually asked anyone officially though.
I am studying to take REG on 07/01 and am trying to find out whether I need to remember the phase outs for 2008 or 2009? Do they expect you to memorize all the rate tables?
No, they don't expect you to memorize rate tables. You should bee familiar with the rates and how they are applied. Same thing with the phase outs; the questions will be very clear in that regard, either it qualifies or it doesn't.
Any advice for when to sit for the next part? I failed FAR in January. I took AUD April 24th and am waiting for my score and going bonkers just waiting. I have rescheduled FAR for July 11th, but I am thinking of moving to the end of August so I dont have to wait so long for my score. I also want to take BEC the same day as FAR. Is that crazy? If I schedule for the end of August that would give me plenty of study time. Any suggestions?
Some of the old questions in my REG review materials DID annoy and scare me with regard to the phaseout ranges, as some of them did require knowledge of what the phaseout range was. Thankfully, no question like that appeared on my particular REG exam.

Good Luck Lisa, I definitely advise you to take them on seperate days, give yourself a break. You can do it but don't overload yourself, just my opinion...so you can maximize your rate of passing
Lisa - I would suggest at least taking the exams a week apart. I think it would be just too stressful taking them on the same days and you won't have enough time to thoroughly review each section so that can cause additional anxiety. I understand that it's hard to schedule exams for Saturdays, but this is sitting for your CPA exam. This is NOT vacation. I'm sure your boss will understand if you explain the situation. Maybe you could sit on Monday mornings and then just make up the 4-5 hours throughout the week for him if he is unwilling to just give you vacation time. At least that way you have the weekend before to cram. Best of luck and keep us updated with what you decide to do!!
Lisa - another reason that you should take them on seperate day is: lets say you take FAR in the morning, if you find something that you're not familiar with, that might cause you stress and make you do bad for BEC. for instance you might lose confident going in for BEC.

Lisa, Your boss probably took all 4 parts of the exam in one week when it was DESIGNED to be taken all in one week, and only offered twice a year. That wasn't an accomplishment. That was just working within the old paradigm. Now the exam is designed to be taken one part at a time, and each individual section is more concentrated. (You, too, have to walk to school barefoot, uphill 5 miles, both ways. You just take a different path.) You would probably be better off working within the new paradigm.
My advice with REG is do not take it in the Oct/Nov window. I unfortunately did not pass when I took it in the Oct/Nov window of 2007 - I got a 74 (that is one club I wish I did not belong to). I then had to study and rememorize all the new thresholds, which in my case I found was necessary, and I got a 72. I finally passed on my third attempt with an 83. This part proved to be more difficult to pass than FAR!
Why would the Oct/Nov window have any significance?
I think he's saying if you take it on the Oct/Nov and fail, it's more work because we you retake it January/Feb window most likely you'll have to remember new material (for instance tax rule).
So do do need to memorize the credit phase out limits for REG?
Lisa - please don't underestimate BEC. I did, and paid for it. I had all kinds of people tell me that it was the "easy" exam. I have been of school for several years, so most of the material was stuff I hadn't seen in a very long time. I thought it would be a breeze, and ran out of time in my review process. If at all possible, I would take some extra time for it. You don't want to take it twice, trust me:) Good luck!!!
RP got it right on the money. The updated thresholds the new tax rules took a little adjusting to and of course the heartbreak of being so close yet so far. Chris wish I could be more specific but I can't without getting myself blocked by Jeff! Let me just say that I took the Yeager course and the ones they focus on are the ones that I needed to know.

Dying, Changes in the law and standards aren't testable until 6 months after-the-fact. That would include changes in tax law. January 1 changes aren't testable until the July/August window.
does anyone know what is the % of questions in the exam are "testers"? Where they have no effect on your grade but are used for future purposes? Is it like 2-3 per testlet?

Here is an interesting thread.... how much would you pay to find out your score 2 weeks early? Like instead of finding out June 15ish, you find out the first week of June. I would seriously pay 300. so even if i failed, i would get to adjust my work schedule accordingly.

Speaking of pre-test questions, would they use old questions that have already been released as pre-test questions? I'll swear on Auditing there were questions that I had already seen before. I felt confident when I left the test center and still got a 71. Any theories?
Does anyone have any suggestions for studying FAR? I am struggling with the volume of information as far as trying to determine how in depth I really need to be comfortable in order to pass. Jeff, you had mentioned in a previous post that FAR is "a mile wide and an inch deep". What is the best way to get through the material? I've got about a month left before the test and have gone through all the material at least once, most almost twice, but still feel like I'm not close enough. I'm using Bisk material (books and software). This is my last test and I want to pass on the first try, but am really getting tired of studying after over a year of working on the other 3 sections. For FAR... 1. Get BECKER 2. Watch Lectures for chap 1 and take notes in book 3. Rewrite highlighted material in chap 1 in book on notecards 4. Review notecards for chap 1 5. Do chap 1 questions 6. Make additional notecards for missed questions for chap 1 7. Redo missed questions 8. Repeat steps for every chapter 9. After all chapters complete...practice simulations 10. Take Practice exam Do all that...and you WILL pass.
Or you could get the Yaeger cram for a good review on the need-to-know stuff.
Hey to whoever was asking about FAR, Assuming you have gone through everything in your review material at least once, having worked all the recommended questions, homework, etc. The week before the exam, make sure you know the concepts. Spend your time reviewing all your notes, charts, etc. whatever to have to help you pull everything together. Spend the last part of your review knowing something about everything as opposed to being an expert in some areas and knowing very little about others. Know the concept! You will find certain areas not tested at all, and other areas showing up repeatedly...so you never know what you're going to get. Good luck!
That gives me some hope on passing BEC. There were definitely some off the wall questions not addressed in my review material. So hopefully, at least a few of the ones I made educated quesses on, were test questions...

I am taking the test under CA. How many days after AICPA results are complete is CA normally complete? I am waiting the results for BEC.
I have now bookmarked the NASBA score page and saved it with my section ID number and birthdate already loaded. All I have to do is open the page and click the SUBMIT button. Error: Score not found. Please verify Section ID Number and Date of Birth format and re-submit. ***SIGH***
I am seriously starting to freak out about FAR again. I stopped freaking for a couple weeks after it was apparent that I was bumped to wave 2 but am now stressed again. 1 more week of waiting I hope. I scored 93/84/87 on AUD/REG/BEC and felt good when I walked out of FAR. I will cry if I failed. I don't want to spend all summer indoors.
I would like to pay 500 if I can know the score two weeks earlier. I checked my mail box million times every day.
guys lets not encourage the aicpa to initiate this kind of a system. we will only end up spending much more than we normally do for the CPA study & exam.

Hi, I am patiently awaiting the posting of the AUD score. I sat for the exam on April 7 and my score was not released during wave 1 - I am in Illinois. I have been using Becker to study for the exam thus far, I actually received it for free through a scholarship that one of my professors nominated me for. I sat for BEC last November and got a 73. Now I am seriously considering purchasing the Yaeger CPA Review program but am trying to decide if I should stick with the Becker and purchase only the CRAM, or should I go ahead and purchase the Yaeger CPA Review in its entirity? If I purchase the full review should I still purchase the CRAM? I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks!
Becker is pretty expensive to buy again, I don't know if I would purchase Becker, there seems to be some pretty good deals for Yaeger on this site

Beatles: 73. That's close. The decision to purchase Yaeger or stick with Becker would really depend on what your weak areas were. Your exam report should give you a clue. Were you weak in one area, or across the board? Was it because you took shortcuts in your review (then stick with Becker and do it right)? Or was it because you found Becker confusing (then consider changing)? Now unlike REG, I thought Becker covered BEC is sufficient detail to pass easily, but one really had to do the entire program including ALL the supplemental material. I passed BEC on the first try. Waiting for REG score next week. If you found Becker confusing I would suggest starting your plan to pass by going to the library or bookstore and flipping through a recent Wiley book (Yaeger uses Wiley books). See if there are explanations in Wiley that clear up what you struggled with in Becker. But if you BUY the Wiley BEC book make SURE it is the 2009 edition, even if you have to order it.
Okay, I have officially missed being a CPA by ONE lousy point. Quick synopsis: Sat for FAR Oct 07. Passed first try. 78 Got pregnant Oct 07. Had already paid for BEC and AUD so I sat for BEC while pregnant without studying. Got a 65. Had our sweet baby June 08. Started studying for Audit late September 08. Sat for Audit Nov 08 and passed first time with an 83. Studied for BEC at about 85% effort. Sat for BEC Jan 09. Scored a 69. While waiting for BEC score studied for REG and sat Feb 28th. Scored a 74. FAR was expiring 4/30/09 so I had to sit for BEC and REG in April 09. Got my results TODAY.......BEC scored 81. REG.................74 again. I lost my credit for FAR all because I failed REG twice by ONE LOUSY POINT. Today is my day to sulk. I begin studying again tomorrow. I'm 38 with 2 teenage daughters, a wonderfully supportive husband, and an 11 month old baby. ONE LOUSY POINT!!!!! Good luck to those waiting on scores. This website is the only thing that keeps me sane right now. It's good to hear that I'm not the lone ranger.
Michelle, I feel your pain... Don't give up. The more efforts you put in for the cpa exam, the more valuable it will be for you. You will make it soon. I passed BEC and REG so far and waiting for AUD score, which I took on May 27th. I am currently preparing for FAR, which is really the most difficult part for me. Is SFAS 141(R) the most important subject matter for the changes in FAR? Is there any other new subject matters in FAR for July/Aug window?
Do Hyun - as far as my knowledge goes of the CPA test pattern it is of no use to concentrate on one important section of the syllabus. the test will question you on your understanding of the concepts and the subject in its entirety no point doing selective studying. all the best
I don?t expect to pass the cpa exam with selective studying, but I try to study all subject matters and I make priority lists of subject matters that I should do more practices of MQs and simulations. It helps to know what would be new subject matter and knowing what to look for. Thanks anyways.

I am taking REG on July 5th. I am going to postpone my July 4th celebration until after the exam on Sunday. I will have July 3rd and 4th to study. I am going crazy waiting for BEC scores after making a 74 on REG. It is bad enough having to retake REG. I really don't want to take BEC again.

Can someone clarify the timing of the release dates. If I test in Illinois, is the AICPA or NASBA release date the one I should be focused on? Or is it somewhere in between?

1. AICPA releases 2. CA/IL/TX/VA release according to their own schedule...completely up to them when they release once they have it...CA is very fast...others not as fast. 3. NASBA releases about 1-2 days later in the evening.
Where do you check for your score? I check the NASBA site in Georgia, so I know mine is the NASBA release date. That's all the help I can offer to this insanity of waiting.

When the AICPA releases...I usually get an e-mail. People on here knew that CA was coming out before CA had it up on their site...
Michelle- I totally sympathize. I paid for FAR, AUD, and BEC in February of 2007 only to find out my middle name was off by ONE LETTER on my driver's license. Finally got it fixed in October of 2007 and sat for AUD and BEC in November of 2007...miraculously passed with a 79 and an 80. Thought I had plenty of time until finding out I was pregnant in January of 2008. Planned to take REG in early August before I had my son in mid September and then FAR before I went back to work. I got put on bed rest ONE WEEK before REG and then my son was in NICU so I didn't get to take REG until January of 2009 and again FAR dropped off paid but untaken. After going through tax season by myself with a baby (his father had to leave to work overseas unexpectedly) I took FAR May 7th, the last possible day. If I don't pass I lose AUD and BEC. The waiting is killing me!
I am waiting on what will hopefully be my last exam score, AUD, and it is killing me like it is everyone else. Anonymous at 11:26 says it is torture, but I would rather endure water boarding than have to wait a month and a half for a score again. I may even take water boarding up as a hobby IF I fail AUD, for the third time. Good luck to all.

Waiting for AUD in TX- I consider waiting for the CPA Exam Score release to be similar to waiting for the driving test when applying for your Druver Lince. Do you guys here at another71 agree with or there is more suffering involve in waiting for the score release? What you guys think?

oh that's easy!! waiting for CPA exam score is way worse than waiting for the driver's license test. Driver's license test is...1/2 hour at the most, you get your results right after you take it :), and ummmm....it's a LOT less expensive. Funny you mentioned that, my daughter got her driver's license yesterday and is driving by herself for the first time as I am typing this, with my car! Now that is equally scary.
I am waiting for my final score -- FAR, which I took in April. Today I got an e-mail from the AICPA asking me to take a survey about the Uniform CPA Examination. The e-mail begins "Dear CPA". Could this mean I passed? Did anyone else get this e-mail? The wait is really starting to get to me. Did anyone else get the survey? It is about the test-taking experience and how "fair" candidates perceive it to be. I found this encouraging, because up until now I have not seen that the AICPA is all that concerned with the candidates' perspective.

I passed three sections on 2008. I took three times REG but all failed. My audit score expired on Jan 09. Finally I passed my REG this Feb., my forth try. I am waiting for my Aud score. My BEC will be expired on July 19th. I hope I get my Aud score as early as possible then I can retake it before my BEC expired. Besides, my employer will raise my salary up to 10000 annually if I complete my exam and I may lose my job if I fail. Damn it. I have to wait and maybe I have to retake AUD and BEC this time.That is why I would like to pay $500 to know score early.

Hey, I'm in Virginia. I took FAR early May and my score updated to their website on 5/20/09. I thought if they had a score, it would be there. You log in, click start, manage my account, and then edit. So now I'm wondering if maybe my BEC score from the end of May maybe is available and just not on the website. Didn't realize there was a problem with it, because mine updated there right away.
Also...I'm wondering if some stuff is starting to get transmitted because when I click where it says view checklist, the processed by is filled in for the last exam I took, but with no score. This happened in May with FAR and my score showed up a few days later. hmmmm I guess they are having problems with the site if some scores are updated and not others.
On the bright side - at least they allow VA candidates to call and get their scores over the phone. They're the only State Board of Accountancy that I'm aware of that allows that.
AngelaMaria, I may have missed it but I assume you passed REG? I truly hope you get the result on FAR soon and that you are finished. The wait for my scores this time was brutal. Although I missed REG by one point I was pleasantly happy to pass BEC. For some reason that part was very difficult for me. Let me know how you do. Congratulations on the birth of your child. I looked at our baby yesterday and told her that she is the reason I haven't passed the CPA yet....but she is worth every bit of pain this exam causes. I wouldn't change a thing. The CPA is a little fish in the grand scheme of things. God bless!

My guess is that if the AICPA releases to Oklahoma today, then we might get our scores today. Otherwise we probably wont see any scores until Monday. Never heard of the Oklahoma board releasing on the weekend, but someone else on here might know something different.

I think I have something similar to Alzheimers....I can't seem to remember anything but the CPA exam. Last year I almost forgot my wife's birthday....well I did until she reminded me. =/ Let's just say I won't forget it this year!
yeah waiting on AUD, my last one as well, i plan on drinking heavily this weekend to offset the anxiety. this is almost as bad as right before the test.
I think its worse than before the test....at least you can prepare yourself for the test. Its such a mystery with how they grade this thing that its hard to gauge how you might have done...so the anxiety before you actually find out is crappy.
it's a mystery because they're adjusting the curves to mess up the people that passed at the margin. i just hope i made it through aud unscathed. my coworkers are waiting on reg and bec which they took within 3 days +/- from when i took audit on may 16. anyone else in georgia waiting?

The system makes no sense. When scores were released on Friday after business hours last window, scores were up Monday night on a holiday.

im moving to texas so that i can get my score faster. Not CA because the last thing i need is another exam to be a cpa.
But CA only requires 120 hours to be a CPA, TX is 150 hours. I'll trade the 30 college credits for a simple exam any time!
A couple of you have asking about BEC scores in Colorado - Both times I took BEC my score appeared at exactly 2AM MDT(once on a Monday (73) and once on a Tuesday (75!!) after a holiday). Doesn't mean it will definitely happen, but it seems to be a pattern. I warn will you, either way, if you get up a check it's hard to go back to sleep, so you might want to wait until morning! I had a really hard time with the 73, but you suck it up and keep going. On the other hand, I had an audit score show up at 8:30AM, out of the blue once, so I guess nothing is set in stone as far as the actual time of day Colorado posts. Try not to waste your weekend clicking away at the NASBA site - hopefully it stops raining and we can enjoy a beautiful Colorado weekend and get our minds off this insanity for a couple of days! Good luck to all the BEC people!!!

Just to be clear: SOME states may release tonight...probably closer to tomorrow (CA/IL, etc). NASBA states will NOT be released tonight or tomorrow...probably Monday evening at the earliest. Last time I checked,I found that they did post advisory scores over the weekend, and I am not sure if anyone knows if it is worth to check tonight on CA board site- please CA folks please shed some light based on your experience. AUD-79 REG-79 FAR-81 Waiting on BEC and going nuts.. This is my third try (after two 74's). BEC was the first section that I have passed with 75 and then it expired. I think that BEC section has gotten much tougher than when I first took in back in 2006.

I am so glad I found this website! I realize that I am not the only one stressed out waiting for my scores to be released. I have a full time job, two little kids and currently studying for FAR. I took AUD on April 3 and BEC on May 29, but I have not been able to get the scores yet. I can't wait to get the results. I called NASBA today and I was informed that I would not get the results until the end of June or middle of July. However, after seeing all your comments, I realized that I have been misinformed. That is truly a relief. I hope I pass these two exams, that way I will be able to say that I am half way through.
By the way, I am in Florida.

Amit - The AICPA releases the scores to NASBA and to the non-NASBA states. NASBA and the states release the scores to us. I do not believe that the AICPA releases the scores directly to anyone.

As far as the experience requirement.. and the time you have to meet it after passing the exams.. I would almost guarantee it depends on your State. I would suggest calling the state board.

Anyone from IL receive a score yet?
The difference with the advisory score is that you don't get the Diagnostic Performance Report for 3-4 days. The score will be the same.

Ann, All of my scores (from CA) were posted at 6:00 am. Two of them came on Saturdays, never on Sunday, though.

"Anxious" - go to your client account - status tab and scroll down the page to "Application Status Information" you will see the score there. Since it is an advisory score, they have put it here. anxious, ideally it should be in ur account in the 'status' tab down where it was marked as "attended" & the date of attendance, it should show u the 'advisory score' down in that table, regardless if u passed or not.. I hope u've passed!!

Anyone seen a BEC score in Maryland?
Mutiny I feel exact the same when I check my score online. I feel my breath is stoped. I sat AUD which is my last section on 4/1/09 and still waiting. I assume my score will be available on 6/16/09 but now I am wondering if I will have the courage to know my score. I have teken AUD four times: 67, 73, 69 and the one I am waiting. Wish we will pass this time around.

Score in WA will be released by NASBA or AICPA? I took AUD on Apr 23rd and didnt get the score yet. God, It is so hard for me to wait the result more than one month. This is my last test and please god let it END!!!
WA either releases via their own board or the NASBA website...it's one of the two...
Seeing CA has gotten their BEC scores makes the waiting worse, BEC is my last section, 2 more days seems like forever.....

Hello all, I'm not a resident of US, but I need the CPA for my career in my country as a preferred qualification. I am a California candidate now. My question is, in general; do I receive any type of certificate or document if i only passed the 4 exams WITHOUT the ethics exam or any other requirement? In general and CAL in particular if you have that piece of info pls.. Thanks in advance.
I just want to tell you that Ethic exam is easy and open book. Not a big deal. Also if you visit CA CPA website, you can find if other requirements needed.
Nash, You really should get new material, because there are many, many differences between 2006 and present.
My wave one scores have not been available all weekend. I was hoping that meant NY NASBA was updating, but it looks like we'll have to wait until Monday.
What's the deal with Virginia this time? They usually release with with CA and IL or right after, but always before the NASBA states. Must be having problems with their website again!
There are differences definitely with the 2006 material I would buy new stuff before you study for it again, or hopefully you just passed this time!
I agree with comments above to get the new materials for the exam. The first time I sat for audit I studied with 2006 materials and took the exam in 2008. I got a 74 - so frustrating!! I got the 2009 materials for the 2009 exam and am hoping I passed this time. Also, if you had Becker materials in the past, you can purchase the updated materials for 1/2 price btw. Took FAR back in mid april and took AUD about a month ago..cmon CA release those scores now!!! pretty please..
i have been here on this site for oct/nov wave 2 scores.. same excitement and same curiosity... its a great thing to wait... but it turns upseting when it comes negative... but if its positive you will never be able to forget your waiting period and belonging exciting...
luckily I have passed all four in first attempt and all four together in four days without break in between them so it was a nice experience but still the environment which we enjoy on this site while waiting for results... its worth... i enjoyed my time... and still like to visit this sometimes.. thanks jeff... really i appreciate your help to cpa exam community..

Does anyone know if AICPA will release REG Monday morning?
For those who tested in Maryland, the state board in MD usually releases on the same day as CA and IL. However, I've never seen MD release scores on the weekend like CA and IL does. So, MD examiners should see their BEC scores on Monday.
And if so, does that mean we'll see the score on tuesday? (I'm from CA)
William, BEC Score has already been posted in your client account as an 'advisory score' in the 'status' tab, just scroll down and see it in the table which shows ur attendence date - All the luck!

"Score in WA will be released by NASBA or AICPA?" Scores for WA candidates are released on their own board's website usually released at the same time as Cal/Illnois. You receive a email when your score is available but sometimes it takes a while for the email to go out so you should keep checking the website. They don't usually release the scores at the weekend though. D
CPA hopeful: Sorry, thought that was referring to me. Jeff: your website is very clear. Just that your predictions are so close, between 1-2 days, which just drives folks nuts.
For those of you in Texas, I've received one score so far in my journey, and the AICPA released the REG scores on a friday afternoon, there was a 3 day weekend and they posted them Wednesday morning at 3:15 am (They update every morning from 12:00-5:00am so that message appears-the first time I saw that I was up all night b/c I thought the same thing...). It looks to me that they need one full day to do whatever it is they do with the scores and then it's udated the following am. So based on this, I'm not expecting my BEC score till Tuesday at 3:15 am. Of course I will check tomorrow morning just in case this time is different :). I'm also on vacation this week so I'm hoping it keeps me occupied as I wait.

Agree with cpa hopeful in reference to some one. We don't know who "some one" is anyway; so he or she is bragging to the air. A quick I passed with a whatever! is great...we all get excited. But that's like way over the top.

Donna (TX), as much as I wish you weren't right, you are probably dead-on. TX seems to need an extra day to either re-process the figures or do whatever it is that they do..at a leisurely Texas pace!!!!! So we probably will not see BEC scores till Tuesday morning, although I will be checking the scores at 5 am tomorrow morning. :) "some one" is just happy to have passed, and I think he or she feels that this is the only forum where people would really appreciate his accomplishment...however, there are a lot of people who are frustrated by the exam on this forum, and his/her intent might have been misunderstood as bragging. Maybe Jeff or someone else can help me...I know lots of people are using the Wiley book whether you're using Yeager or some other materials. I'm studying for FAR and I was going to get the Wiley book to study, but I'm not sure if they have an update for the SFAS 141R that will be now tested. For people that's using that book, did you get a revise product for the SFAS 141R, because some stuff in the current book will be superseded.
Wiley sucks.
I used both Wiley and Becker for BEC last Nov. The contents of both book were similar, but Becker is better organized than Wiley. I think Becker is good enough for FAR. And you probably don't have so much time to study both.

RP I have the 2009 Wiley book for FAR and there are two Module 16's. One is for 141 and the other is for 141R.

If you get the 2009 Wiley book for FAR, the consolidation chapter is divided into two distinct sections, one for consolidation under SFAS 141 and another for consolidation under SFAS 141(R). Each section has its own homework problems so you can practice both.

Congrats, "some one." That is a big accomplishment. I, for one, think you guys should cut "some one" some slack. It's not like he (or she) rubbed it in anyone's face. Simply stated that he (or she) passed all 4 exams in 4 days, sandwiched between very positive comments of the site and the atmosphere - not derogatory toward anyone else in any way. Don't bring down someone else's success because you haven't experienced the same.
there will always be some one smarter some one faster some one better some one happier we should all strive to be that some one. sometimes the journey is more important then the destination.
I am also curious as well regarding whether NASBA posts scores on the weekend.

Hi JP and Anxiously awaiting AUD and REG in OH, Thanks both, I will plan to do so, I have passed AUD with 2006 material this year (2009) and now waiting for FAR result and Inshallah I pass. Regarding BEC and REG, definitely i will buy new material since there are many changes as JP said....! Not sure, In 2010 BEC exam will be added a simulation (Not sure) as some friends saying, and some other friends saying that only writting communication will be added to the BEC exam.
I am sick to my stomach waiting for the release of BEC. This was my third time taking it (68,74). I think I might have a breakdown if I don't pass this time around!

I understand what you're saying, but there's no way that I can filter out "negative" comments. If people resort to name calling or something, then I'll delete it, or if someone is "trolling" and looking for trouble, then I'll ban them. 99% of the comments on here are fine...the other 1% are viagra spam that gets caught in my spam filter. :)

Patrick-If you pass BEC you should have reason to celebrate-You'll be 1/2 way there! I, like you, have passed REG and am wating on my BEC score. I'm not so confident about BEC but if I passed I will be super happy b/c I'll be 1/2 way through this journey, as you will be too :). Any time you pass a part is cause to celebrate b/c it's one less one you have to worry about and your one step closer to becoming a CPA! Good Luck!

Oh my gosh! I am so nervous! I can't wait to get my results for AUD and BEC!..... I am doing Becker. My approach is to do the live classes first and take the exam. I usually leave 1 or 2 months to review all the material (depending on the amount of material) and then take the exam. Right now, I am doing the live review class with Becker in Miramar on Saturdays (all day)for FAR. I scheduled FAR for Aug 28! However, this is my first time taking these exams and this wait is killing me. I need to know if I passed AUD and BEC. If I did, I feel like it will be an incentive to push myself even harder to study for FAR. I think of my two little ones all the time. I can't wait for this to be over to be able to spend more time with them!.... This is truly a test of endurance, willpower and perseverance!! Every single day, I go to NASBA to check my scores and nothing! Well, as soon as I get the news (hopefully good), I will let you all know. I think this is a great website to movitave others. Congratulations to all those who have passed all parts! It is quite a huge accomplishment!!!:)

I also received an 83 for BEC in VA. 2 down, 2 to go. I used Yaeger, and was only able to study a little over 3 weeks (while working FT). Probably only studied around 40 - 50 hours. I highly recommend Yaeger!

I just called the Texas State Board and asked if they've received any scores. Their response was as follows: "Nah, we ain't received any scores at all." Even though the Texas State Board has shocked me over the years with their complete lack of understanding and/or ignorance to anything related to the CPA exam, I wouldn't hold my breath for the scores to be released tomorrow morning.

i'm just starting on my cpa quest, a recent grad and soon to be staff1 (lowest of the low), so i know i have a long journey ahead. i've seen a lot of comments of different states releasing at different times, with even one releasing both wave 1 & 2 at the same time instead of separately. but, i haven't seen any comments on HI (nasba state), does anyone know about how they typically release scores or if there's anything unique with them? any info would be appreciated!!
VA Scores are in!
I took my Audit exam on 4/17 in GA and I have yet to receive my score. This is the longest I have ever waited and this wait has really put a choke-hold on my progress. I would like to know if I've passed before I move on. So frustrating!!
Which VA scores? BEC or REG Mama needs a passing grade on REG. Last one!!
Still waiting on NH BEC. Going crazy- this was my 10th time taking a section (2x BEC- passed the first time but expired, 3x AUD, 3x REG, 2x FAR). If I pass BEC it will bring my two year journey to an end, as I have passed the other 3 in the past few months. I want my score!!!
I am anxiously waiting for FAR. 2nd time taking it. Last night had a horrible dream of scoring a 56. I am getting real nervous. I can't even concentrate on studying for BEC because I am too distracted worrying. I just wish they would release multiple choice first since it's graded by a computer. At least us CPA candidate would have an idea how we did. I guess they like keeping us biting our nails.

Just had a chat with VA BoA, only second wave scores in as of now is the BEC section. Good luck to all, I'm impatiently awaiting an AUD bundle of joy!
I just checked to see if my audit score was up yet since it hasnt yet been posted, however, I curiously also rechecked my reg score, which is now gone. Is that because they are preparing for the second wave and so they remove the previous scores?
I had that same dream a few nights ago. I actually couldn't see my score. All I knew was that I had passed. I hope that comes true. Out of all of the exams that I've taken, I've never had a dream about the results.
Still waiting on audit (taken 5/16) in GA. Anyone else hear they change the work experience requirement from 2 yrs public 5 yrs private to 1 year public/private effective July 1?

Jeff. I was thinking. Wouldn't it be great if the site allowed us to create your own profile (I know it would be crazy work) but just an idea that I'm throwing out there. This way we can continue to be motivated by reading people's journey thru their profile. Just an idead.
Good idea Izabella....I had a plugin that did this, but it messed up the comments...it was defaulting back to the very first page, which was a deal breaker. I'll think of something.
I just called Texas Board.They said, they received my grade and it will be posted after midnight. I guess they have BEC after all....
and they wouldn't tell you what it was??

No they said they can't see the result...I doubt it. Maybe I failed and they don't want to deliver the bad news. I am taking it after a 73. But I felt better walking out the exam the first time. No time to grieve, Ill be up again and ready to tackle this section down ASAP.

Jeff-I noticed you commented earlier that NASBA will release BEC tonight between 8 and midnight. Is that your gut feeling or are you basing this off of your sources. Thanks for keeping us up to date--this website is an awesome resource.
I had a discussion with someone with NASBA and mentioned the annoyance of getting up in the wee hours of the morning to check your scores. They had a meeting with IT and bumped the score reporting process to the front of the list, making it an evening release instead of a 4am release the next day. Right, I understand the part about the release times---I should have been more specific with my question. What I meant was do you have any specific information that they are coming tonight as opposed to tomorrow night--or is that just a prediction. Thanks again.
I always check my score via the CA board of accountancy website. Is there a way to check them on the AICPA website since they release the scores ealier? Another other places to check that I don't know about? thanks!
Darn, I was really hoping AUD would be released a day earlier than Jeff's predictions like BEC was, but I guess not since REG hasn't even been released yet. Is AUD looking more like Wednesday for IL/CA?
well...in fairness, I assumed that the AICPA would release and CA would report the scores all in the same day...Saturday...so I was kind of right on the money...kinda sorta... :)
Just got my score for BEC in NH!!!! I passed with a 79!!! I am sooo happy, especially since I had dreams of a 69 all last night!

I am anxiously awaiting my AUD score but I have a question for REG. I am using Becker to study for REG, but I feel the MC questions provided by Becker are not preparing me for the exam. Please share your experiences with Becker and suggest any other materials I might use to study. Thanks and good luck to everyone.
Matt...I took REG a couple weeks ago, will find out how I did this week. But I used Becker and felt pretty well prepared for the multiple choice on the exam. If anything it was the simulations that I didn't feel as comfortable with. I have used Becker for AUD, BEC, and REG and I felt pretty well prepared for all three. Working my way through FAR right now.

If you call customer service they can extend it if your last section is scheduled. I sent them my Prometric receipt and they gave me registratrion up until test day.

They typically release whatever section I'm waiting for last, so sorry folks waiting for AUD! Blame me.
I had this issue last wave with people asking about this...if your software expires, either contact them directly and negotiate a renewal or get different review materials...those are your only two options. Please - no postings about getting around the expiration...I will have to delete it.
To the person with the Becker expiring, I have heard of people calling Becker and saying you have one more to take and them giving you a month extension.
I am also using Becker to study for the CPA exam. Give them a call. I'm sure they'll be able to work something out for you!
...and no offers to help people tweak their computer via e-mail...this is a serious issue...
