I Passed FAR, NINJA CPA Review

Mark is a NINJA CPA Blogger.

Just got my score back and passed FAR with an 84. It feels so good to be done with 2 parts, but the joy is short lived because now I’m moving on to BEC.

It took me two tries to get through FAR, but the NINJA Audio definitely made a big difference this time around. I listened to it probably 20 times and had most of it memorized.

I took the weekend off to celebrate passing but now I am trying to get back into study mode. It is going to be extra hard if the weather stays pretty like it has been recently.

Also, this is crawfish season, which is a favorite time of mine. There is nothing really like having a crawfish boil with friends and family, so it will be hard give BEC my full attention on weekends.

I also have just started doing a bunch of extra work for a friend of mine who started a business. There does not seem to be enough hours in a day for me right now, but it is an exciting time.

Two of my coworkers were not so lucky with their recent scores. One was taking FAR for first time and got a 69. He was not super disappointed because he didn’t expect to pass but still bummed. He has to study Audit now because that test is coming up, but he is really ready to take on FAR again.

The other guy was on his last part and got a 74. That was so brutal to watch him get that score. I can’t imagine how that felt for him. I know he will pass it next time, but he was ready to be done and came oh so close. Hopefully we all three will be done soon.

I need to hurry up with my exams because I am coming up on my one-year anniversary and the wife is tired of me spending my time studying and not with her. She understands I need to do this but also is ready to start enjoying married life more. Too bad I can’t just blink my eyes and be a CPA.

It is a struggle to balance work, married life, and studying. I do not know how people do it with children also. We have decided to wait till I’m finished to talk more about kids then because we know it would make everything harder.

Time to get back to work. Good luck to everyone out there with their studying.
