REG, take 3.

Action!

I have less than two weeks to re-cram everything I know about REG and then some. Because I really need to pass this time.

Don’t get me wrong—I WANT to pass, too. I am like a toddler—confused about needs and wants. Whatever it is, let me pass REG.

I took FAR April 6, and didn’t even give myself a full day off from studying. Ain’t nobody got time for that! Gotta keep studying!

I know I said I was going to keep trying to study for REG while studying for FAR, but I started realizing that I was actually having difficulty recalling words that have been in my vocabulary for ages and forming sentences to engage in conversation … as if my brain was archiving ‘old’ knowledge in order to make room for all these accounting terms and methods.

So my brain decided for me: I can only focus on one thing (if you call the FAR material one thing—it’s more like a gazillion things) at a time. So I opted to wait to return to the REG material until after the FAR test, leaving a whopping 12 days to cram.

Quite torturous, isn’t it? Well, my 18-month window is coming to a close on April 20th, so I scheduled my test for April 18th. I always like to think that I work better… under pressure (sing like David Bowie).

What better pressure than this? It sure provides motivation for getting up early and studying every spare minute I think I have.

Mm ba ba de
Um bum ba de
Um bu bu bum da de
Pressure pushing down on me…

Anyone else feeling similar pressure? And is that song now stuck in your head? You’re welcome!
