Regulation Study Habits Improving

13 Apr 2012

Hello Everyone!

As a follow-up to my last post, my studying habits definitely improved this last week! I won’t say I am 100% happy with them, but improvement is improvement.

And, I still think I am on track to hitting my goal of having all of the REG lectures complete before my Florida vacation trip the first week of May.

I plan to go ahead and apply for my REG NTS this week. As part of my new approach, I am not going to schedule an exam until I know for sure I will be ready to take it, but at this point I know I will be ready in the next 6 months. I am shooting for the end of May at this point.

What worked for me this past week was dragging my butt out of bed early in the morning and getting into work an hour early to study. This coupled with studying an hour during lunch only left one hour at night. I have not yet been able to stay after work to study, but I am going to start doing that 2 or 3 days a week next week, and that should really help.

The hardest part for me is still the weekends. It is so easy to get caught up and not do any studying all weekend. Especially when I justify it by saying that the things I am doing instead “need” to get done, when I know I am really just procrastinating. This weekend I am going to do study time first thing in the morning instead of putting it off until the afternoon or evening. This should help a lot.

I wish everyone luck in exam taking or studying this week, hopefully not both!
