Jeff recently posted some blogs that could not have hit me at a more perfect time. The first was on motivation.

He is right, a CPA designation is worth it, and will be worth it in the long run. There is a certain type of respect that comes with having those 3 letters after your name.

The second blog was on the NINJA study method. Even though I have been following NINJA for a while now, it was a nice refresher and reminder.

Studying FAR has become a big battle for me over the past several weeks. I would sit down and work on multiple choice questions only to be frustrated and discouraged over the number of incorrect answers. I am not expecting to be perfect, but I thought with less than 3 weeks until the exam I would be retaining information.

Despite my best intentions, I have decided to move my exam. I hate to admit it, but I have let the FAR beast win round one.

I am going back to Nailing the Concepts. I have pulled out my NINJA book and I am going to take more time reading and taking notes.

The beast may have won round one, but come February 2017 it is going down.
