Sherri is a weekly Another71 Facebook blogger as she documents her journey through the CPA Exam.

I can’t believe it…. I actually passed. I walked out of the FAR exam 100% positive that I failed it…. Again.

I’m checking the box…. Moving on to Audit in 2012!

FAR has been a gigantic monkey on my back. Having finally passed it, I now have a little more confidence that if I put in the study hours for Audit and REG, I will pass those parts too.

I passed both Audit and REG in 2009, and my deadline is August 31, 2012, before I start losing credits again.

I owe incredible thanks to my family and friends who have put up with me, helped me study, listened to me whine, and kept me from giving up over the past year. It’s a long list of people, and you know who you are!

I also have to thank the folks at Roger CPA Review and give credit where credit is so appropriately due. I’ve taken more than one attempt at slaying the FAR dragon. I wasn’t able to do so with any other of the study materials I tried. My success is due to more than my stubbornness and great study materials though. The staff at Roger were friendly, informative and prompt to answer my questions. I’ll be using Roger for Audit in 2012.

Passing FAR for me is almost as significant as passing all four parts because it was so difficult for me to get beyond it. Been there. Done that. Yippeeeee!

Over the holidays, I will be thinking good thoughts for everyone feeling the heartache of finding out they failed and celebrating the success of everyone that passed.
