Take the Plunge: Time to Pass the CPA Exam

It has been a while since I last wrote. There has been a lot of soul searching going on.

I was studying and trying so hard and I just wasn’t getting better at answering the questions. That led to massive procrastination which led to me contemplating on calling it quits.

However, the big question was what to do about the NTS that was at the top of my e-mail. Do I let it expire or just schedule ASAP and hope for the best?

At that point a friend who has decided to become a CPA calls me and suggests I look at a different review course. I thought about all the sunk costs and time and decided sure, why not? Oh my, it told me how to read the questions. I started procrastinating a lot less. Am I perfect? NO but better.

I then decided to schedule my test. I only told two people: my friend and a co-worker. Two weeks before the test I told some family and friends that I had scheduled it but I didn’t tell them when until a week before. I just didn’t want the added stress.

The night before the test my daughter turned on the NINJA Audio for me to listen to while I slept. I kept waking up because Jeff was talking to me and I was listening and repeating.

I took the test recently, and a few hours afterwards I felt like a great weight was lifted off of my shoulders. It felt great to just finally take the plunge. Pass or fail I feel like a winner!!

See you ALL on the other side!!
