Multitasking: On-the-Job Studying for AUD

NINJA CPA Review

Kimberly is a NINJA CPA blogger.

My plan is to sit for AUD before the Q2 window ends. I’m super fortunate to have a job that encourages and supports my efforts to pass the CPA Exam.

When I have down time during the day, I squeeze in a set of 20 NINJA MCQs as I prepare to sit for AUD. This exam is a retake and I really want to make it count this time.

I have a lot of overwhelming and hectic, albeit wonderful, things going on personally. I struggle to find time to focus on studying in the early mornings and evenings when I am home.

So as an alternative, I study during the 8 hours of my workday. I can normally get in 10 minutes at a time, usually during the morning hours when I am most clearheaded.

By the end of the work day, I have typically hammered away at 60-80 MCQs or even 100 on a really good day. It is such a boost to my confidence at the end of the workday.

I’m able to work towards my career goal, all while getting my day-to-day work completed. The multitasking that I have had to do to get it all done has really strengthened my time management skills.

So, no matter how busy I get when I am at home, I don’t have much guilt because I have studied throughout the day, every single day.

This is the perfect way for me to practice concepts up to exam day. I need as much practice as possible in order to recover from the 71 that I scored back in February.

I am happy that I have found a way to maximize my study time to improve in areas where I am not as strong as I need to be.
