NINJA CPA Review

Kimberly is a NINJA CPA blogger. I’m a little bummed I didn’t sit for AUD this quarter as planned. I wasn’t as ready as I know I need to be. In the past, I’ve taken exams and passed them (and then lost them) several times. I don’t know anyone who is 100% confident going into an exam. However, there’s a feeling you get when you know you’ve done all you can to prepare. When you’re prepared, even if something new shows up on the exam, you know enough to fight your way through. I’ve felt that way when I passed an exam, but haven’t had that feeling while studying for AUD. I planned to sit on May 31, but life events and celebrations took me away from my study routine. Ultimately, I didn’t think I could pull it off. Although I trend at 85% with NINJA MCQ on most AUD topics, I didn’t have

Kimberly is a Although the content for the CPA exam has not changed, the weights being applied to both the multiple choice questions and TBS have. AUD went from being 60:40 to 50:50. That is the part that freaks me out the most. If you do better on task based simulations than multiple choice questions, these changes work to your advantage. Unfortunately, this is not the case for me. I have always done well on the multiple choice questions. When given the correct answer, I can usually find it amongst the wrong options by using process of elimination. Typically, I can narrow it down to two possible answers. Then, I focus on the keywords to find the answer I am most confident is correct. I’m sure I’m not the only one that can pull this off. However, when it comes to task based simulations, it all falls apart for me. Jeff

Kimberly is a NINJA CPA blogger. My plan is to sit for AUD before the Q2 window ends. I’m super fortunate to have a job that encourages and supports my efforts to pass the CPA Exam. When I have down time during the day, I squeeze in a set of 20 NINJA MCQs as I prepare to sit for AUD. This exam is a retake and I really want to make it count this time. I have a lot of overwhelming and hectic, albeit wonderful, things going on personally. I struggle to find time to focus on studying in the early mornings and evenings when I am home. So as an alternative, I study during the 8 hours of my workday. I can normally get in 10 minutes at a time, usually during the morning hours when I am most clearheaded. By the end of the work day, I have

NINJA CPA Review

Kimberly is a NINJA CPA blogger. I am beyond distracted. Everything is going on at once. My son graduates from high school in May. Any parent that has been through senior year knows exactly how much of a whirlwind it can be, especially when you have a kid as active as mine. Plus, he has autism and doesn’t drive. Don’t get me wrong; everything taking place is super positive. Prom is behind us and we’re looking forward to the scholarship awards program this week. Still it’s a lot, to say the least. Then there’s the emotional rollercoaster that comes along with this milestone. I’m unfocused in every way imaginable. Personally, all of the life events taking place are not really conducive to studying for the CPA exam. As much as my heart wants to keep up the pace with the study schedule I created, it’s challenging. As a single parent, it’s
