NINJA CPA Review

Stacey is a NINJA CPA blogger. I am finally breaking down the wall. I haven’t taken a test in six months, simply because I have a fear of failing another test. In my first year of studying for the tests, I took FAR twice and failed, and took REG twice, failing both, with my closest score being two points away. These tests, as we all know, cost money, time, and energy, none of which we will get back. I have come to terms with that, because it was holding me back from wanting to spend any more time, energy, or money on another fail. Of course I do not want another fail, but if I do not get rid of that fear, I’m also holding myself back from my chance to succeed and pass. I’m moving forward with my study sessions and am setting deadlines for myself: daily goals, and

Stacey is a NINJA CPA blogger. With New Year Resolutions the thoughts of the month, I’m sure we all want to put “Complete my CPA Certification” near the top of the 2017 list. It certainly is on my list. Now I’m going to let others know it’s on my list too. I need to make major improvements in my accountability areas this next year. Work has been my major focus the last three months with a new boss and first-hand experience of a coworker committing fraud. I couldn’t control that. But I am the one choosing not to make the best use of my time when at work. I blamed family, mostly my spouse, for taking up too much of my time. I didn’t want to say “no” to quality time. Stacey is a NINJA CPA blogger. It happened. I waited too long to schedule my FAR exam out of fear of fees if I needed to reschedule. Now there are no more slots open for the test I have been studying for. I have no one to blame but myself. The reality of pushing my test back four weeks is frustrating after already having pushed it back this fall, but I am not going to change my study patterns now that I have been making progress. I am slightly worried about spending too much time on one test. I keep asking myself how this happened. How did time go fast while studying progress went so slow? I cannot continue this pace once I have passed one of the tests. I need to kick myself in gear and get the show on the road. I did not do well studying during

NINJA CPA Review

Stacey is a NINJA CPA blogger. Repetition, repetition, repetition. This is what it has been all about lately. I was focused so much on each FAR MCQ, I wasn’t getting through many. Switching back to quantity over quality has helped me stay more positive, rather than getting discouraged on each question or flashcard. Looking back at the percentage of questions each section has is a good reminder of what areas to spend time on. Time is valuable, so I remind myself what the focus of each study session should be to help me use my study time wisely. To help with this, I have a white board where I write: the plan for the week previous test scores how the current test I am studying is broken down key vocab words or topics I am focusing on This way every time I sit down, I review the board and remind
